Necromancer Supreme: I Can Use All The Skills Of My Summons -
Chapter 48: Black Market
Chapter 48: Black Market
Waking up the next morning. Tim saw Idah standing guard at the entrance of his door.
’Just like a guard dog.’ Tim thought as he saw Idah.
He truly had a refreshing sleep. Without needing to check what time it was. Tim already knew that it was a new day.
The soft rays of sunshine said it all.
Tim had a lot that he wanted to achieve today. So, he decided to put it in an order of importance, and the first thing that he decided to do was to take a long and powerful bath.
The fact that he was in another world definitely did not write off the fact that he should keep himself clean, especially when he had the opportunity to do so. He would never miss such opportunity.
He went into the bathroom and spent about 15 minutes scrubbing himself, as for his summons. His undead.
He honestly did not know if they needed a bath or not. So he just left the matter.
The other thing that was of importance for him to achieve was too dye his hair. He really needed not to stand out.
Looking at Idah standing alone, Tim decided to summon Ottis. He did not summon Ottis to keep Idah company.
He just figured that two heads were better than none. After Idah, Ottis was the second strongest undead that he had. The rest were basically useless in Tim’s eyes.
He needed power and they did not really represent the power that he needed.
"Idah, hand Ottis some coat to wear. We have a lot to do today." Tim said, as he wore his cloths and chest amour then covered it all with his long coat that had a hood.
Leaving the room and going to the inn session, Tim saw that the place was still empty.
He did not know why and he did not care to know why it was like that.
"The both of you find me a place where I can change my hair color." Tim instructed.
And before Idah could reply. Ottis replied eagerly "My king. I know just the perfect place for you to get your hair dyed. Do you want to try it out?"
"Take me there." Tim answered hurriedly.
’It seems like Ottis is more animated than Idah, but it does not matter. What I am looking for his strong candidates, not eager candidates.’ Tim thought, as they walked through the town market.
.....
"What? How is this possible? I clearly saw him with Idah alone yesterday. How come he has another person with him? is that not Ottis?"
"Yes, that seems to be the Ottis that we know of. But when did he enter town? There is no way that he can enter this town without us knowing."
"Yes, I concur with that. I was the one that allowed Idah and that royal elf to walk into our town yesterday. Ottis definitely wasn’t amongst them yesterday.
What does this mean for us? Should we abort this mission and report back?"
"No, it is too risky. We stick to the plan, which is to the elf and kill Idah. Since Ottis has joined him then we kill Ottis also. don’t forget to loot them.
They are hardened criminals like us. I am sure that we would find something useful amongst their loot."
Four people observed from the top of a building about 700 meters away from where Tim was.
They observed him with magically enhanced tools, and Tim and his little gang had no idea that they were being watched.
.....
"Why are you taking us into an alley?" Idah asked Ottis who was leading them into an alley that obviously had a dead end.
"I know what I am doing. It is not a dead end. It is a place where they sell high ranking magic items.
I know a high mage within this market and she owes me a favor." Ottis said as they reached the dead end of the alley.
Ottis then went ahead to knock the bottom side of the wall 5 times. Immediately a portal opened up, and without waiting for any further instruction the trio jumped into the portal.
Immediately they jumped into the portal, they arrived at an underground market.
"My king, this is the black market. Here they sell things that were either stolen, lost or looted from high ranking beings." Ottis explained.
Tim in turn was fascinated. Although he was mana dead, shivers ran through his skin because of the share number powerful beings that he could feel.
He could not really explain how he knew that there were powerful people in the market, but he could just feel it.
"Are you sure we are going to be safe in a place like this? There seem to be powerful individuals here." Tim asked Ottis.
Although he knew for sure that Ottis could not try or think of harming him, he still asked. it was literally impossible for his undead to have negative emotions towards him.
So he knew he was safe from any backstabbing from them, but he knew nothing about this place that Ottis had brought him to.
"Do not worry master. A place like this has rules and regulations and at the same time I heard that this market place is run by a 4 Star Mage." Ottis answered his query with his knowledge.
Tim’s eyes widened. A 4 Star Mage? He had no idea how powerful such a being would be, but according to what he had read in his past life. Something of 4 stars were usually powerful and dangerous.
Ottis seeing Tim’s confusion decided to explain further.
"My king, you watched me fight. You saw the damage that my spells dished out right. Well that is the strength of a 1 Star Mage. I am a 1 Star Mage, and a 4 Star mage is not 4 times stronger than me.
A 4 Star Mage should be about 10-16 times stronger than I am.
To put it into perspective, A 4 Star Mage would have wiped out my gang members within 3 seconds!"
