Necromancer Supreme: I Can Use All The Skills Of My Summons -
Chapter 44: Absolute Loyalty
Chapter 44: Absolute Loyalty
Idah looked at Tim with great hatred. Why was Tim asking such a stupid and baseless question. Tim had killed off all the members of his group and now he was asking if he would become a loyal slave because of his defeat.
He would never accept such a thing. In fact he thought of using his suicide scroll to take both his and Tim’s life both he figured that it would be futile.
"No! I have no intention of working with you. Whether in this life or in my next life.
I would rather go on to my next life and be a dog than to serve you." Idah said with all the visible hatred that he could display on his face.
Tim was not too shocked by his response. It was probably what he would have said if the roles were reversed.
But he just wanted to try. Now that the idea was in his mind. He wanted to raise one of his summons to rise with him to the peak of power.
"Maybe I will turn one of the best genius of this world to be my eternal slave. I also reject you the same way that you have rejected me. But that did not mean that you will not become my slave." Tim said, as he applied force to the thorn.
With how strong he was now, thanks to his stats. A little force was what he needed to pierce through Idah’s skull and the long awaited notification came.
[ Ding! Human killed]
[ +600EXP]
[Bonus for killing a Level 18 Human -> 1400EXP]
[Dead Summon available -> Human]
"Hmm, so you were a level 18 dude. That is interesting. Arise." Tim said not wasting any time. His black smoke that was linked to his inner world had already swallowed Idah whole the moment he lost his life.
So, when Tim summoned him, a new Idah came out with the same exact look, except that he was a little pale. At least Tim saw it to be an improvement to the first undead he ever summoned.
’If it becomes less noticeable that they are dead or that something is wrong them maybe I can then use them for spy work.’ Tim thought as he inspected Idah that had now become his undead.
The reanimated Idah looked at his new mastered and went on one knee, bowing his head.
"Master, I am here to serve you faithfully." He spoke.
But Tim was not buying the word that he said. It was probably because of the necromancy effect that Idah was speaking like that to him.
But he wanted to test something, her needed to know some things about his undead. So he decided to ask his newly formed undead.
"Walk with me." Tim instructed, as the both of them walked towards where the slaves were. Honestly, Tim was lucky that none of them used the slave as hostages.
That would have been brutal. He only truly wanted to save the slaves because of the ways the gang were disrespecting and abusing the slave. It did not make any sense to Tim.
"Do you still have that your shitty personality." Tim asked. This was what he was most curious about. Did they retain their personality or they just became robots with their previous memories.
"Yes master, I remember that I am always calculative and calm. Excluding the negative parts of my character which I know you dislike.
I retain every bit of my personality." Idah spoke, as humble as possible.
"Huh, excluding the negative parts of your character? How so?" Tim asked. Not fully understanding what he said.
"Master. All the characters that I have deemed that you would not like have been suppressed. I have an ultimate loyalty to you, as I can never defile your words.
Your words and instruction are the sole reason why I breathe." Idah said with all honesty.
"These guys are just AI characters that would listen to my one and every instruction without challenging me. I should like such a thing, but such a thing would become boring to me in the long run."
After walking for almost an hour they finally reached where the slaves were, and to his surprise the slaves had escaped.
They seemed to have broken out from the cage and escaped from the area.
Tim was not too surprised by their escape. It had been over 15 hours since his meeting with the gang. He was not surprised that the now free slaves had enough time to plan their escape.
Looking at Idah that was looking at him with too much respect. Tim asked" Where did you plan to sell off the slaves?"
"We planned to sell the slaves off to a known buyer that usually resells them to various household for pleasure. It is a business that had been going om for years sir." Idah eagerly responded.
Tim still weirded out by the intense loyalty sighed. ’This necromancy is really potent. The real question is that does it truly belong to me?
Why was it gifted to me? No wait I chose it, but why was I rewarded just because I asked?
What if the being that gave me this power takes it away from me. Would all my progress disappear just like that? Would I just become useless because I was overly reliant on the skills of my summons?’ Tim wondered, as he hoped on one of the beasts that was pulling the carriage.
"Lead me to the closest major city." Tim said to Idah who Also climbed on one of the beast and started to lead Tim towards the closest major city.
Tim’s thought had put him in a fearful state. If he lost all the necromancy, then he would have nothing. He then and there made up his mind to not solely rely on his necromancy prowess.
At least not until he was completely sure that the power could not be taken away from him. since he did not have mana, he could just learn to be a battle sage on the side.
