Chapter 450: And one more thing...

"Elynn, how many troops do we have right now?" Ethan asked after a moment of thought.

"Master, currently we have approximately 330 units of Tier-13 Green Dragons, 70 Ancient War Trees, 100 Arcane Colossi, 100 Behemoths, 300 Gem Dragons, and 500 Kirins. As for Tier-14 units, we have around 100 Sacred Kirins, 30 Ancient Behemoths, 80 Storm Dragons, and close to 80 Gold Dragons."

Elynn paused briefly before continuing, "But right now, the Behemoths, Gem Dragons, Sacred Kirins, and Kirins—they’re all not here. So..."

"So the forces we can actually deploy at the moment are just the 330 Green Dragons, 70 Ancient War Trees, 100 Arcane Colossi, 80 Storm Dragons, and 80 Gold Dragons."

"That’s enough!" This time, before Ethan could respond, Seraphina suddenly stepped forward, her voice burning with conviction. "Master, let me go. I don’t care who they are—if they dare to invade Emerald Castle, I, Seraphina, will make them pay. I’ll wipe out every last one of those damn Inferno Devils. Not a single one will walk away alive!"

"Hmm..." Ethan hesitated for a second, then nodded. "If another battle breaks out, I’ll let you handle it. But remember—hold back a little. Don’t reveal your full strength just yet, got it?"

Of course he knew.

After her recent power surge,

Seraphina was itching for a chance—

A chance to show off what she was truly capable of now.

So he didn’t want to shut her down.

And honestly, given the current situation, they really did need Seraphina—this insanely powerful Crimson Ultimate Hero—to help stabilize things at Emerald Castle.

Because relying solely on the remaining Tier-13 Legendary Units and Tier-14 Mythic Units...

Yeah, that wasn’t going to cut it.

There just weren’t enough of them.

"Maybe I should just go ahead and redeem the rest of those reward units too?" Ethan thought for a second—and then decided to act.

Earlier, he had already used part of the reward pool to expand the Sacred Kirin, Kirin, and Gem Dragon legions to 100, 500, and 300 units respectively. That had cost him 50 units from the Tier-14 Mythic reward quota, and 580 units from the Tier-13 Legendary quota.

Which meant he still had 1,420 Tier-13 Legendary Units and 450 Tier-14 Mythic Units left to redeem.

After thinking it through, Ethan spoke up: "System, I want to redeem 230 units of Tier-13 Ancient War Trees, 100 Arcane Colossi, 200 Behemoths, 300 Ebonite Colossi, and 590 Green Dragons..."

"And for Tier-14, give me 120 Gold Dragons, 70 Ancient Behemoths, and 260 Storm Dragons."

With that, his current forces would now be:

Tier-13 Legendary Units:

Green Dragons: 920

Ancient War Trees: 300

Arcane Colossi: 200

Behemoths: 300

Ebonite Colossi: 300

Kirins: 500

Gem Dragons: 300

Tier-14 Mythic Units:

Gold Dragons: 200

Ancient Behemoths: 100

Sacred Kirins: 100

Storm Dragons: 340

Ding!

"Player Valkarion has selected the following unit rewards: 230 Tier-13 Ancient War Trees, 100 Arcane Colossi, 200 Behemoths, 300 Ebonite Colossi, 590 Green Dragons, 120 Gold Dragons, 70 Ancient Behemoths, and 260 Storm Dragons. Please wait..."

Ding! Selection complete. Please check your inventory.

"Done." Ethan clapped his hands, a faint smile spreading across his face.

Compared to his earlier, painstakingly calculated choices—where he’d weighed every option and crunched every number—this time, his decisions were way more relaxed and straightforward.

He was just rounding things off to nice, clean numbers.

That’s all there was to it.

Why was he acting so relaxed now?

Simple.

Power.

Back then, the reason he’d been so tense, so cautious, so meticulous with every decision—was because he’d been weak. The pressure was crushing, and with limited resources, he had no choice but to squeeze out every ounce of value.

But now?

Now things were different.

He wasn’t that weak anymore.

He had Seraphina. Cicero. Kyros. Auremax, Balthazar, Vaelric. And then there was Kaiin, Oakenmaw, Orryn, Elyra... the list went on. With all of them by his side, even facing off against the Inferno faction didn’t rattle him. He could stay calm, composed—completely in control.

So there was no need to agonize over every single unit choice anymore.

A rough estimate was good enough.

Besides, he already had a solid grasp of what he needed.

He wasn’t going to make any dumb mistakes.

ROAR!

Just then, a thunderous dragon’s cry split the sky. Ethan and the others immediately looked up—Vaelric was back. His massive wings beat the air as he descended in front of them, his expression grim.

"My Lord," Vaelric said, voice low and serious, "those damn Inferno bastards are on the move again. And this time... they’ve brought a lot more with them."

"Oh?" Ethan raised an eyebrow. "Roughly how many?"

"From what I saw," Vaelric began, "there are over 500 Tier-13 Legendary Devils. As for the Tier-14 Mythic Inferno Arch Devils... I’d estimate at least 100, maybe even 200. And that’s not all—I also sensed units like me. Ace Units."

"Ace Units?" Ethan’s eyes narrowed. "You mean Inferno Ace Units? Tier-13 or Tier-14?"

"I’m not sure..." Vaelric shook his head, his eyes flickering with unease. "But I’m certain there’s more than one. So probably both. And the regular troops—they’re stronger than usual. I’m almost certain there’s a Hero Unit leading them. Maybe even a Crimson Ultimate Hero. The Inferno Devils are slippery bastards—it’s hard to get a clear read on them."

"A Hero Unit too, huh..." Ethan muttered, already assuming the worst. If they were fielding this kind of force, it had to be a Crimson Ultimate Hero. No way a mere orange-tier Legendary Hero could command and control that level of power.

In other words—

A Crimson Ultimate Hero.

Multiple Ace Units.

And nearly 700 units of Tier-13 and Tier-14 troops combined...

This wasn’t going to be a skirmish.

This was going to be a brutal, all-out war.

"Master..." Seraphina spoke up again, her eyes practically glowing with anticipation as she looked at Ethan. She was clearly dying to jump into the fight—if she could’ve begged him outright, she probably would’ve.

This was the perfect opportunity, and there was no way she was letting it slip by.

Ethan couldn’t help but chuckle, half exasperated, half amused.

"Alright, alright," he said, waving a hand. "Relax. With this much action going on, there’s no way you’re sitting this one out. But before we charge in, I need to think through the plan..."

He turned to Elynn. "Elynn, what’s your take? How should we approach this?"

"With our current forces, a head-on clash might not be the smartest move," Elynn replied without hesitation. "I suggest we play it weak at first—lure them in. Then, when the time’s right, let Her Highness Seraphina strike. Hit them hard, hit them fast."

"And one more thing..."

"What else?" Ethan asked.

"The Plane World," Elynn said, her tone dropping. Her eyes gleamed with caution. "Its existence is top secret—beyond top secret. We can’t let anyone discover it. I recommend assigning Vaelric and a few others to guard it. Make sure it stays hidden."

"Yeah..." Ethan nodded slowly. She was right. The Plane World was his most closely guarded secret.

In fact, it was even more important than the ocean territories.

Why?

First, because the Plane World could be transformed into a hidden base.

Second, because it could house Mythic Unit Creature Dwellings.

And the importance of those? Off the charts.

If he placed them in Sylvanwood or inside Emerald Castle, they’d be at serious risk.

But deep within the Plane World?

Much safer.

However—

Even though Sylvanwood was vast, if it were ever invaded—or worse, captured—especially by the cunning, devious Inferno Devils...

The odds of his secret being exposed?

Would skyrocket.
