Chapter 62: The Deity And Her Talking, Walking, Giant Turtle Shrine
Kivas stood before the shrine, the scent of freshly disturbed soil mingling with the warm breath of the forest.
The statue above Yoiglah’s transformed shell continued to emanate a faint golden glow, the miniaturized black hole in its floating halo thrumming with a quiet pulse.
Kivas turned to Samael, one hand resting on her hip, the other holding the edge of Royal Valor’s sheath, curiously excited.
"So," Kivas said, "what exactly do I gain by putting the shrine here on Yoiglah’s shell instead of just planting it on random dirt like you originally made it sound?"
Samael gestured lazily with a finger toward her. "Check your Well of the Soul."
Kivas didn’t argue. With a thought, her awareness dove inward.

➤ 『END OF THE WELL』
The moment her eyes scanned through the numbers, modifiers, and new divine designations laced between her base stats, she blinked.
"Well," Kivas muttered in awe. "That’s a huge bump."
From level 3 to level 12, her Priest class growth also came with two new pairs of skills being the Calm Touch, and the Touch of Mercy.
Kivas knew right away that these skills had nothing to do with her being a new deity because she could analyze it in a way.
It seemed like the higher IQ stats took effect in trying to understand these words and numbers more now that Kivas looked closer on it.
She had also leveled up her remembrance skill to level two, alongside gaining 100 points on all attributes, which caused a huge increase in all stats.
Not only that, she seemed to be able to notice the calculation for each derived stats after numerous times looking at it.
And if she would make a formula chart of it, it would look like this.

"Also, tell this clueless newborn deity what else the assimilation provides in comparison to planting the Minor Shrine on a random soil," Samael gestured to the giant turtle.
Yoiglah’s massive eye rolled to regard her. "It is because the shrine’s divinity has been integrated into my own existence. I now have access to a portion of its essence. That includes your divine signature, which rests in the shrine’s core...
"For example, when I slay using its power, Fathomie recognizes you as a contributor."
Kivas’ eyes sharpened. "So I’ll get Nightmares... even if I’m not there."
"Correct," Yoiglah said. "So long as the power I use in the kill originates from the shrine, you will receive the Nightmare, Renenutet."
"Woah, now you’re leaking my divine portfolio. Is that allowed?"
"Renenutet, huh. Interesting," Samael crossed her arms, her posture loose, lips smiling. "Regardless, the shrine isn’t just giving you passive income. It’s a relay, feeding into him as much as it feeds out., a symbiotic relationship, in a way."
"To restore me," Yoiglah said, "to what I once was. And perhaps beyond."
Kivas folded her arms. "My shrine will be the foundation of your growth, and it will also grow with it."
"Yes."
Kivas turned to Samael. "So this is how you’re planning to stabilize Vaingall, huh."
"It was never going to stay stable on its own. I made sure of that when I ruled it with fire and silence," Samael said. "There’s no structure. No plan. No heirs. Only predators who knew not to step out of line...
"But now I need Vaingall to be something else. A home base. An anchor. A place where we can grow, act, return. In a way, borrowing your remembrance skill is one of the great choices to do it."
"Power always returns when it is called with sincerity," Yoiglah contined. "And I now know the name and domain of the goddess whose shrine I carry. Her traits are... unique. They may yet change this land forever."
Before either of them could ask, Yoiglah’s massive shell began to emit a low hum. The statue above him flared with golden heat.
Then, light spread across the surrounding forest like ripples on a pond.
Patches of cracked dirt were overtaken by green. Grass erupted with impossible speed. Trees thickened. Saplings clawed their way out of the ground, blossoming into crops and stalks.
Grains rose—golden, sleek, and heavy with fruit. Their heads bent gently under their own weight. They looked nourished by divine instruction.
And many more unique and high quality arrays of plants suddenly grew like a miracle.
Kivas stepped forward, stunned. "You just made the land grow, something that had never happened before in Vaingall..."
Samael crouched near the stalks, brushing her fingers along the edge of one. "Is there anything weird among them?"
"Oy, the land you ruled for who knows how long has suddenly achieved something special," Kivas teasingly scolded. "Why can you celebrate it and praise your new successor?"
"Yeah, yeah, good job. Edible plants grow. Fruit, can eat, yippe~"
"Don’t worry, she is always like that," Yoiglah commented.
Samael examined a flower that grew from the base of one of the stalks—black petals with veins of silver.
"Found something weird," she said to no one in particular, before chucking some of the plants into her spatial storage. "Aaah, interesting."
"All the humor aside," Kivas’ eyes sparkled as she turned to Yoiglah. "Can I do that too?"
"Yes," Yoiglah replied. "If enough belief is directed toward you, your soul can also enact the same miracles. The moment your shrine is erected, and a strong gush of influence covered a portion of Fathomi’s surface, your divinity is real now. Not just a remembered echo...
"With enough devotion, you can wield miracles as effortlessly as thought. Albeit, still below the output of my power thanks to the difference in skill libraries we possessed."
Kivas’ delight stuttered. "Wait. Does this mean... will I undergo Apotheosis?"
"No," Samael answered without even glancing at her. "There is a difference from accumulating a legitimate and fair faith and divinity, instead of having your core existence being forced to be converted into a full blown divinity."
"I’m still technically a Fateling!"
"Not anymore, technically, even though Fathomi still regards you as it," Samael corrected. "Your body and soul are hybridizing. You are becoming a newborn deity, formed stable by remembrance. No wild burst of divinity, no catastrophic redefinition of your mind."
"I know that I have already asked this, but I will ask this again for the sake of clarity... Will the people and factions of Fathomi hunt me down now, since I’ve become a newly manifested deity?"
Yoiglah was the first one to answer, "There are numerous deities in Fathomi who operate within balance, not welcomed with malice by the great factions. They do not succumb to instability. They exist in tandem with mortal and spiritual beings. Some even run a civilization."
"You’re asking this twice must mean that you’re really anxious about this," Samael waved. "The only gods who get killed are the ones who start hurling cataclysms like they’re throwing pebbles. If you don’t dissolve into madness, most factions will tolerate you. Or at least tolerate you enough to use you.
"I’ll protect you regardless, now that we’re much more prepared than our last timeline."
Anxious was an understatement.
Kivas was actually downright terrified.
"I see." Kivas exhaled slowly. "Okay. Good. That’s one nightmare off my chest. So, what now?"
One of the nearby Limbo Tier Divine Constructs hovered forward, answering for Samael.
"The next step is conversion," it said.
"Conversion, I see," Kivas smirked.
"The spread of influence will be one of our main methods of growth from now on," the construct continued. "We must ensure that Celestial Avatar’s’ presence and divine name are known to the inhabitants of Fathomi. The more who believe, the more power flows to her. The stronger her domain and influence becomes!"
As it spoke, sparks of light shimmered from the shrine above.
Threads of energy spiraled upward, then twisted into seeds of light. They hovered in the air, dozens of them, slowly descending toward Kivas and Samael.
Samael raised a hand and caught one.
Yoiglah’s voice vibrated through the air again. "These seeds can be planted anywhere. Each one will form a Minor Shrine, tethered to the one that rests on my back. They will share energy. Influence. Essence...
"And," he continued, "if you can find a soul with an advanced class on the Priest path, and bind them to a shrine, it will grow into a Major Shrine."
Samael stared at the seed. "Sure, we’ll bring a shrine maiden, or virgin, whatever they call them."
"I don’t think anyone wanted to be called a shrine virgin..." Kivas wryly chuckled. "How to find one though?"
"Easy, we’ll wait until the Solvish Keep arrives within the land of Vaingall once again like before," Samael said. "Whoever look strong or high in the church’s hierarchy, they definitely have an advanced class from a Priest path."
"With consent, right?"
"Willing, and unwillingly."
"I could see that answer from far away."
"You make me blush," Samael said without a hint of blush.
Kivas took one of the hovering seeds into her hand "So these seeds, we just plant them, right? Sounds uncomplicated."
"Yes," Yoiglah replied. "Plant them where you wish growth to spread."
