After teleporting away from the palace with Yoru, I was struck in the shoulder by a long shadow needle that Vyrazul threw at me at the very last second.

We both appeared in the middle of a field on the outskirts of the city, a few kilometers away from the commoners’ areas.

When I appeared in the settlement, I was still on my knees, enduring the pain from the curse, and the first people who greeted me when I got there were Nisa and Tony, who helped me walk outside the tent.

"Ichi!" Melina shouted as she ran towards me as soon as she saw me.

First, I wanted to hear the story from the former empress’ side, as she was the first one who fell victim to Vyrazul.

Empress Chunuha was looking for a new personal servant after the one she had for a long time had to retire due to old age.

There were ten candidates who were willing to work with her, and after she tested their skills, she thought that one, in particular, was more talented than the rest—a woman by the name of "Vyra."
