After Ichiro and Melina split up to give Yujun and Leslie a bath, she went to Lady Bao’s room, remembering that the noblewoman had a big bathroom inside her bedroom.

When Melina entered the room, Jane, the maid, became alert of any potential danger, but when she saw the little girl in Melina’s arms, she relaxed.

"I’m Melina, but you can’t call me that while we are in this country," Melina replied, keeping her gentle smile and brushing the girl’s hair.

"We are trying to hide the fact that we are here, so we need to use fake names..." Melina said, explaining it in a way that a little kid would comprehend.

"Big sis, are you here to take down the bad guys?" the little girl asked.

"Something like that. Who are the bad guys to you, Leslie?"

"The bad guys are the people that hit Yujun and me!" she answered with confidence.

"Do you know their names?" Melina asked, her eyes turning sharper.

Leslie told her that all she remembered was waking up one day in one of the commoner’s areas on the outskirts with Yujun lying next to her.

She didn’t know how she got there. All she knew was her name and age.

They were left inside an abandoned hut, so Leslie took the unconscious Yujun with her and escaped from that area to another one.

When Yujun woke up, he didn’t speak to anyone, and it wasn’t until weeks of living with Leslie that he said his first words to her.

They would walk down to the river to wash their faces, which they mistook as a bath, and scour the fields around for berries and anything that was edible.

Leslie didn’t know the reason, but there was a married couple that would always look for them whenever they visited the commoner’s area and would torture the kids in front of everyone with a whip.

Once the two girls were done with their bath, Melina gave Leslie a silky dress that Vespera made for her, saying that it was only for sleeping as she had more clothes for her.

When Leslie put on the dress, she felt a little emotional at how soft it felt. She was so used to the rough, shredded dress that she couldn’t believe that clothing could feel that comfortable.

After Melina applied the illusion spell on her hair again, she tied up Leslie’s long hair so that it wouldn’t get messy so quickly and left the bathroom.

Lady Bao, seeing the two of them getting out looking and smelling fresh, expressed her admiration for the beauty of the two girls.
