Chapter 64: Chapter 64 - The Blac-k Day
"Master, what happened?" Darithi exited the shop soon after Cruxius left, following his trail and arriving beside him.
Ytrisia did the same.
Darithi observed the slight haste in his approach, even though she had thought he was simply going to hire that woman as his personal cook or something.
Indeed, while he was eating the food he had ordered, she had clearly noticed the changes in his expression. Due to the spiciness, he drank water—clearly showing evidence that he could taste the food.
She had been considering approaching that girl to offer her a job in the main palace. However, while exiting, it appeared her master had other intentions beyond merely hiring the girl as a cook.
"Darithi, tell Ermond to shut down our servers and stop all online activity of the subsidiary companies—now!" Cruxius yelled as he entered firmly. Before getting into the car, he removed his jacket and took his seat.
"But Master, the losses would be in millions—"
Swiftly taking out his phone, he made Darithi hesitate for a moment, but seeing his urgency, she nodded and took out her phone too.
She did have some authority, but there were limitations. She could not just order everyone around. The most she could do was talk with the butler and inform him that this was the order from the young master, while leaving all the details up to him.
However, as she saw her master dialing the call directly to the head of the family, it became clear that the situation was serious, prompting her to also work actively.
Cruxius was already dialing. Darithi trailed off, doing the same, seeing the rigid focus in his eyes. Ytrisia, silent and confused, stood behind them, her gaze flicking between the two.
The call connected on Cruxius’s line. Just beside him stood Ytrisia, while Darithi had moved away to talk at a distance.
A gruff voice answered, slow and skeptical:
// Brat? //
The voice on the other side of the line, belonging to the head of the Blac family, was clearly taken aback after getting a call from his son—for the first time in years, taking initiative to directly talk with him.
’....’ Cruxius felt his mouth twitch, hearing his father’s voice for the first time in a long while, clearly surprised while calling him a brat.
After all he did in his past life, he had thrown him out of his will—uncaring. Cruxius added, "Father, shut it all down—every company. Full system lockdown. Now."
// ..... // A pause stretched from the other end—from the head of the family, who, for the first time, heard such an urgent tone after receiving a call from his son.
Slight disappointment lingered in his tone, as if he was expecting his son to call him with some emotional change.
// What happened? //
"It will happen soon enough. I’ll explain later. Just do it," Cruxius snapped.
// You realize what you’re saying? We’ll lose billions in data, live contracts, entire real-time systems. You— //
"Do it, Father," Cruxius said, steel in his tone. "A supervillain with S-rank hacking ability is about to target us!!"
’!’
Silence. Then, the voice at the other end dropped all resistance.
// ...Alright. //
The call ended.
’Shit... now, which one will make a move?’ Finally ending the call, Cruxius placed his hand on his mouth, wondering which of the women would be the next to attack him.
However, as he was in his thoughts, suddenly a loud voice came, belonging to a woman, startling him.
"I WILL KILL YOU! CRUXIUS BLAC!"
’!?’

Far away within the main estate mansion of the Blac family.
The sudden call seemed to not only ring in the room of the head of the family but also send silence throughout the place.
Within the room was seated a man, his mustache giving him a dominating appearance, tapping on the table as if thinking deeply about the call he had received.
"Lord, I just received a call from Darithi; it seems really serious." Ermond also spoke, even though they had complete confidence in their firewall security system.
However, the warning seemed serious, as they knew that no matter how much of a playboy the young master was, when it came to using his mind, he was sharp.
So, the chances of him having already analyzed the situation before calling were probable.
The head of the family stared at the glowing device in his hand, brows furrowed.
He finally reached a conclusion.
Slowly, he picked up the secured redline terminal—a smooth black device wired directly to the central executive core.
He dialed a single number.
The moment the call connected, his voice rang with finality:
"This is Raekin Blac. Blackout Protocol. Level Seven. All subsidiaries. Immediate execution."
The man at the other end said nothing—just obeyed.
And across the globe, the machines began to sleep.

Neo-Tokyo – GenCore Biologics
CEO Araki was finalizing a funding proposal when his internal screen flashed crimson. His assistant rushed in.
"Sir—central command initiated full shutdown."
Seconds later, the direct call came through.
// This is command center, //said the cold voice.
// All systems must be shut down now. //
Araki’s mouth tightened. "We’ll lose years of trial data..." Thinking swiftly, he ordered, "Back up the systems and cut them from online sources, now!"
Swiftly, he took out a small control device that was securely connected with the local network. Yet, knowing the chances of vulnerability were high since the order came from the command center, he quickly keyed in the override manually.
"All servers, offline. Send the emergency evacuation to labs Alpha through D."

Berlin – Stratosync Networks
Inside the subterranean server hall, warning sirens blinked red.
Chief Systems Engineer Elira Myrvold stared at the mainframe.
A voice on her comm: "Initiate blackout. Shut down. Clean kill."
"What? Are you—?"
"Authority: Blac."
She inhaled sharply, then nodded to her staff. "Shut it down. All of it. Isolate every relay. We’ll sort out the mess later."
---
Dubai – Auracron Robotics
A drone assembly line ground to a halt. Sparks hissed. CEO Mateo Delgado watched the control feed vanish.
"What in the—?"
An urgent notice lit up his watch: Central Executive Override – Level 7
"No warning?" he muttered. Then the call buzzed in.
// Main command center orders, highest authority. Shut down the systems. //
Mateo didn’t argue. "We’ll be bleeding funds by the second... but it’s the head’s orders."
He gestured to his control chief. "Kill the grid—"
ERROR! ERROR! ERROR!
The firewalls and systems were breached.
Not only that, but the control that has just been taken by the command center seems to be slipped through their own hands.
The alert buzzed, as if the entire system’s control had been lost.
"What is happening!" he yelled, clearly taken aback, as the engineers and technicians moved swiftly. The IT team also began working on the computers, but the result was a single notification—a message written on the screen.
They had delayed in shutting down everything, and the result was a message:
{ I WILL KILL YOU CRUXIUS BLAC }
