MY Masochistic CEO -
Chapter 25
Chapter 25: Chapter 25
I grasped her chin, a smirk playing on my lips. "Then bark for me, remember, like a little dog!"
She shot me a seductive glance, her lower lip caught between her teeth. "Can I purr like a cat instead?"
"No, bark like a little dog!" I commanded, giving her a playful slap on her behind. She let out a surprised yelp, her mouth slightly agape, her gaze enticing!
"Didn’t you promise to obey my orders, no matter what they were? Are you refusing the first request?"
I watched her, my expression a mix of amusement and challenge. In that moment, her demeanor was one of timidity, yet I could discern the quickening of her breath, a surefire sign of her mounting anger.
"You seem to take pleasure in tormenting me," she accused.
With a huff of indignation, she commanded, "Enough! Stop the recording."
I complied, pressing pause. "As you wish."
She nodded, her cheeks ablaze with a rosy hue. Parting her lips, she began to emit soft barks. "Woof, woof!"
"Twice more!" I demanded.
"Woof, woof!"
"Not loud enough, project with more force!"
"Woof, woof!"
The woman who had once driven me to distraction was now barking like a dog in front of me. A sense of triumph and satisfaction coursed through me, causing every pore to tingle.
The sensation was exhilarating!
She drew a shaky breath, "Happy now? Master!"
Her words set off a firework of emotion within me.
No wonder mature women were so appealing; a simple gesture of approval and they knew precisely how to respond.
"I find that title rather fitting. Use it when we are alone, understood?"
"Go to hell! You think you can manipulate me with a mere project assistant position!" Mia retorted, swatting my hand away. "Only if you guarantee me two deals a month!"
"That will depend on your level of sincerity," I responded ambiguously.
Did she really think she could outmaneuver me with such a negotiation tactic?
"You wish to see my heart?" Mia challenged, beckoning with a finger.
"Very well, after work, come home with me and I’ll show you to your heart’s content!"
This woman was undoubtedly a master of manipulation.
I seized her abruptly. "A small down payment, if you will. I must take my leave."
With that, I made my exit. Lingering any longer would have been a test of my self-restraint.
Such women were enjoyable to flirt with, but if things escalated, they could easily ensnare you.
However, they were also simple to manipulate; all it took was giving them what they desired.
At present, I lacked that capacity. Descending to my workstation, I was consumed by a sense of illicit excitement.
I downed a glass of iced water in an attempt to douse the flames of desire.
Suddenly, my phone vibrated. A text message. Upon opening it, I was taken aback.
From the attire, it was clearly Mia. Fearful of leaving a trace, she had opted to send me provocative photos via text.
In this sweltering heat, she was inciting me to the brink of desperation. Was she courting disaster?
Instant regret washed over me, and I hastily typed a response.
William: [Are you still there?]
At times, men could be so easily swayed by their physical urges, reason be damned!
Her reply was swift.
Mia: [You have five minutes!]
William: [I’ll be right there!]
I felt every cell in my body pulsating with anticipation. The memory of Mia barking like a dog made me yearn to exact a fitting punishment.
But just as I rose and took a few steps, a chilling voice halted me, "Melody, I’d like a moment of your time!"
The voice was akin to a bucket of icy water dousing my ardor. "Melody, what can I do for you?"
"Do you think I would summon you without cause?" Melody’s face was a mask of frosty indifference. "The vice president wishes to see you upstairs."
Upstairs? The rooftop?
A wave of panic washed over me. Could she possibly know?
"What are you waiting for? The vice president is expecting you!"
The vice president?
So it wasn’t about Mia and me.
A sigh of relief escaped my lips as I hurriedly followed Melody. What could the vice president possibly want with me?
In the elevator, curiosity got the better of me. "Melody, do you know why the vice president wants to see me?"
"You’ll find out soon enough," she replied curtly.
Damn her aloofness.
An idea struck me. "Melody, is your back feeling better? Would you like me to massage it for you? I learned from a doctor back in my hometown!" I extended my hand towards her, catching a glimpse of fear flashing in her eyes. "William, what are you trying to do?" she questioned, her voice laced with panic.
"Remember, this is a professional environment," she warned sternly. "If you dare to cross any boundaries, I won’t hesitate to have you fired, even arrested."
"Alright," I replied, retracting my hand. "I can see the pain etched on your face with every step you take. Why put on a brave front? Once we meet the vice president, I’ll help you. I assure you, my intentions are pure. If I cross the line, you have my permission to fire me."
I pondered over my actions, realizing that winning her heart was going to be a slow process, requiring me to chip away at her defenses gradually.
"No means no, William!" she snapped. "If you dare to lay a hand on my waist, you’ll regret it!"
Ignoring her stern warning, I allowed the silence to engulf us. The elevator seemed to be taking longer than usual to reach the boss’s office, which was only two floors above. We both felt a sense of unease creeping in.
Suddenly, the elevator lights flickered and went out; the cool air blasting from the vents above stopped.
The power was out!
Melody gasped. "Oh no, I completely forgot! The power company sent a notice this morning about a scheduled power outage at one o’clock!"
She berated herself. "How could I forget something so crucial!"
In the pitch-black elevator, she began pounding on the walls, calling for help. "Someone, please! We’re trapped in the elevator!"
The elevator jolted violently, the metallic creaking sound making my heart skip a beat. "Stop banging, Melody! Do you want us to plummet to our deaths?" I warned her. With the power outage, the elevator shaft had ceased functioning. Any sudden movements could prove fatal.
She seemed to understand the gravity of the situation. "Alright, I’ll stop. But what do we do now?"
"Come here, don’t be scared. Stay close to me."
I reached out in the darkness, my hand finding hers. She didn’t resist. Her body was trembling, her voice shaky. She had once mentioned her fear of the dark and mild claustrophobia.
"Don’t worry, I’m here," I assured her, seizing the opportunity to hold her hand. Under normal circumstances, she would have slapped me, but in this moment of fear, she clung to me tightly.
"I didn’t bring my phone. Do you have yours?" she asked.
I did have my phone, but could I risk showing her the compromising photos with Mia? And how could I let go of such a golden opportunity? Ten Mias couldn’t compare to one Melody.
"No, I left in a hurry. My phone is on my desk," I lied.
"What do we do now? Everyone’s probably taking a nap at this hour,
