My Favorite Game Followed Me! -
Chapter 462
Anton and Anna prepared themselves to leave, and even Anna had a flinty expression on her face. He wasn’t sure that Anna would receive some sort of questioning and possibly bullying regarding him and he didn’t want Anna’s first experience in an academy becoming marred with something as petty as that.
He knew that he might have been blowing up the situation for no reason, but Piamon’s behavior toward them had not been good from the start. At first, Anton believed that the archmage was just sporting a strict behavior as part of his role as someone who manages students. Just like McGonagall in the Harry Potter books, but then Anton felt the disrespect when he reiterated that he wouldn’t be joining their school.
Piamon didn’t stop them since he had already dismissed them, but Anton and Anna would probably need to talk to each other regarding the decision if she would continue enrolling in the Magical Academy of Evocation Wizards.
Oscar followed them, and since the mage was still there with them, Anton asked the man to guide them to the nearest inn where they could stay for the night. The inn that Oscar led them to was called the Lion Inn and it looked like an inn that could only be afforded by the rich but Oscar told them that most inn in the kingdom was just like The Lion Inn.
Anton smiled briefly when he heard the inn’s name. It was such a common inn name in fantasy novels that he couldn’t help but reminisce on the time when the only habit he had was reading fantasy web novels.
They rented a room each, but they stayed in the common room to eat dinner with Oscar, who invited himself to join them.
“I hoped that you would return tomorrow to the academy. It’s a good school and your sister will truly shine there,” Oscar said while the three of them were eating.
Anton then knew that Oscar would probably receive some sort of commission, monetary or otherwise, if Anna entered the school. She was a genius wizard, and any academy would be lucky to have her. He didn’t even care if Oscar would receive some form of referral commission.
“I’m just worried that Anna will be bullied by Piamon because of me not joining that school,” Anton told Oscar.
“You don’t need to worry about Piamon. Since none of the wizards there had seen you, they will be basing their acceptance of Anna on her talents, and once a specific Supreme Wizard accepts Anna as his or her student, no one will be able to touch her.”
“Supreme Wizard?” Anna asked.
“Of course! Since you’ve already reached rank five even though you’re only thirteen years old, no one below Supreme rank would be worthy to be your teacher,” Oscar said.
“Let’s just go ahead and go through the enrollment process in that school tomorrow since that school seemed like the best one that could teach you how to fight,” Anton said to his sister but to be honest, the main reason why he was partial to the Magical Academy of Evocation Wizards was the look of their school which was truly reminiscent of Hogwarts.
Anna agreed with Anton and said that she would follow his decision, but she told him that for the next part, he would only need to go with her until they reached the door, and he could leave her there. Anna wanted to handle the decision by herself.
Anton agreed, but he told Anna that he would be staying in this inn until he received a message from her tiny raven regarding her situation, and his sister complied.
After dinner, they said goodbye to Oscar, who looked relieved regarding their decision to stick with the academy instead of finding a different school.
They rested early that night because Anna wanted to be prepared for anything that could happen in the academy, which they thought would mostly be some form of tests, either written or practical.
The next day, they ate breakfast at the inn, and Anton paid for another night in his room. Anton then gave Anna all of the enchanted items that he had made that were left in his inventory so she could sell them if she needed funds. It wasn’t a lot, just around thirty. He also gave Anna most of his gold coins, totaling five thousand gold coins. He kept the remaining one thousand gold coins for his daily expenses. Anna kept all the things that Anton gave her. Anton knew that his sister didn’t worry about Anton when it came to coins since the family knew that whenever Anton needed the funds, he could easily get them using his abilities as an item enchanter.
Then they headed to the academy. When they reached the gate, a sorceress was already waiting for them there, and the sorcerer’s eye went straight to Anna.
The sorceress looked beautiful with long blonde hair and a tall stature. She looked like she was I her late twenties but she could be hundreds of years old.
“Good morning, Archmage Anton, Wizard Anna. My name is the Supreme Munetta. I heard that there is a talented thirteen-year-old girl who needed a teacher, and I wanted to be the one who would test her. If she fit my requirements, I could be her teacher,” The lady mage said.
“Good morning, Supreme Munetta. I will be leaving my sister here since she told me that she wanted to handle the decision-making for these next steps. I will be waiting for news from her, though, so I’ll be staying in a nearby inn for the rest of the day,” Anton said to the wizard straightforwardly, and the Supreme Wizard just nodded and ushered Anna inside.
Anton was left by the gate, and with nothing to do there, he returned to the inn. It would have been better if he could use the time waiting for news from Anna by exploring the kingdom, but since he needed to wait for the tiny raven, he needed to stay at the inn.
He headed directly to his room the moment he arrived at the inn and kept the windows open in case the raven arrived. He then spent the rest of the day leveling up his Assassin Ladder character.
At around noon, he stopped leveling and planned to enchant the remaining sculptures in his possession. There were a few of them left, and when he counted them, there were about twenty-five of them. He enchanted each one with all of the known enchantments that he could do, like the Frozen Orb Air Conditioner, the Fire Bolt light, the Ice Bolt water provider, and the Inferno heater slash stove. Since he was extremely familiar with all of his enchantment process, each item could be enchanted within fifteen minutes, so by six in the evening, he had completed around eighteen sculptures.
The expected raven finally arrived, and the letter that Anna sent informed him that the Supreme Wizard Munetta would be her magic teacher. Anna wrote that she would start with the basics, even though she’s already rank five, because of her age, but that was only for the general knowledge a wizard should learn, but since she showed everyone the amount and variety of spells that she already memorized, the Supreme Munetta would be the one handling her spell casting training.
Apparently, because of the haphazard way she learned spells, she would need to unlearn most of them so she could develop a specific spell-casting system that would amplify her spell power. She was beginning to be satisfied with their decision of her choosing this school to attend, but the sad part was, she could only meet him and Anders after the three terms for the first year of her stay in the school, which would be around nine to ten months. She could still communicate with them through the tiny raven, and she could even find other magical tools to use to communicate with them once she was used to the school.
