"Are you ready?"

Asher laid on the cold metal table, his eyes examining the clear yet glowing bubble around them Lucas had created with magic. It was beautiful.

And yeah, obviously.

He was ready.

Asher then suddenly recalled Felix’s trembling hands that caressed his hair and his pale face that came close as he placed a kiss on his forehead.

’He seemed more nervous than me...’

Asher didn’t want to see him worry so much but since even he was worried he really didn’t have the energy to comfort Felix back then. But this all might end soon.

As their baby comes...

Asher looked forward to this.

Finally, it was the day.

They are going to have the baby...

Lucas laughed and pulled out a syringe, injecting it as he examined Asher whose eyes were still curiously staring at the bubble around them.

While Asher was busy thinking about Felix and about the outcome of this surgery, he still had the time to be impressed by Lucas as he stared at that big bubble though.

But then, as he stared at it, he realised his eyes were getting heavy, forcing him to close them which brought him into a deep sleep as Lucas successfully sedated him.

’Let’s do this.’

With the first step successful, the big step came up.

"I like it. I want to stay at brother Lucas’s house!"

Felix was confused first as to how to move forward after Asher gave birth. It wouldn’t be convenient to bring Asher back here when he is still recovering.

During this time, Felix really wanted to stay with Asher to support him. When shown concerns, Lucas suggested just come and live there which Felix had to put aside because of Anne.

Felix realised Lucas was right.

When Felix told Lucas the final decision, Lucas nodded in approval.

Felix was there before Asher went into the safe room Lucas had prepared for the surgery. Felix comforted Asher and stayed there till Asher was taken to the room for the surgery and then he left which Lucas knew as Felix already informed him about his plan in detail.

So, when the surgery ends, Felix would be at Lucas’s place with Anne to welcome Anne’s little sister and Asher.

"Right...So did you choose a name from the three you suggested to us before?"

Felix asked as they were on their way on the carriage.

After getting really excited and encouraged to choose a name for her sister, Anne spent days in the library finding something meaningful.

She didn’t complain to her father that he seemed to have not been that excited to name her with a more meaningful name. But she was worried her father would think it that way and feel upset so she did not always bother him with names but proceeded to find a best one by herself which she was given freedom and opportunity to do.

Thankfully, she had three names chosen which Felix and Asher liked on the first go when she told what she chose.

They still gave her the choice to choose the one she likes.

So, now that they are finally at the moment, Felix wished to know what she decided on.

"I am sorry father. I still can’t feel special about one."

"...Will you be when you see your sister?"

"I believe so."

Felix really wanted Anne to feel close to her incase Anne, just a child, would be feeling like an afterthought with this pregnancy. So he wanted to give this chance of naming the baby to Anne herself as she did great so far.

"Mm...It’s alright. Let’s wait till we meet your sister, okay?"

"Mm!"

Felix said to Anne and she smiled and nodded her head.

When Felix and Anne arrived at Lucas’s place, Lucas was still working so Felix and Anne stayed in the living room, not disturbing.

Usually, Lucas would have some helpers but in Asher’s case he couldn’t trust anyone. So he assigned himself to do everything alone.

Felix was more than grateful for Lucas’s hard work and he can’t even imagine what would have happened if he didn’t have Lucas by his side.

Things would have been a big mess.

’Haa...Maybe I wasn’t as unlucky as I always thought. I got good friends. I got a good partner. My life isn’t bad now. I don’t feel like dying anymore. I am just full of hope...’

Felix patiently waited, calming down Anne who was slowly getting inpatient as she hated sitting at the same place for long.

In the end, Felix brought Anne outside to find some bugs and kept her busy while Felix waited for Lucas to come out of the guarded room.

It took so long. For Felix, it felt like forever as his eyes turned to that door who knows how many times.

Hopefully, everything goes well.

Then, when Felix turned to look at the door once again, there stood Lucas, his eyes red, seemingly tearing yet a big smile visible on his face.

Felix ran in, almost forgetting Anne then coming back to grab her and make a run for it.

Felix looked at Lucas who was now laying on the sofa, breathing heavily while laughing.

"Congratulations!"

As Lucas’s word fell, Felix felt the goosebumps and the chill.

It’s done.

Finally!

Felix looked at the closed door, feeling anxious rather than happy.

Why?

He didn’t know.

He felt pressured.

His stomach was hot.

His body felt weird.

It was all tingly.

"You can go inside."

Lucas said and turned to Anne who was worryingly looking at Lucas as she had not seen him looking tired like that before.

"You have to wait a little here with me. Brother is tired. Can my little Anne help me feel good again?"

Lucas asked and Anne threw herself at Lucas who then hugged her.

"Your father has to first go and see your brother Ash, okay?"

"You mean father Ash?"

"Haha. Yeah, your father Ash."

"Okay. I will stay with you till then."

Anne said and looked up at Felix who was impatiently waiting for her to agree to stay there for a little while. Then, as soon as she agreed, he smiled at her with gratitude, entered the room as the door then closed.

"Brother Lucas."

"Mm?"

"Father said today my sister will come. So, did my sister finally come?"

"Yeah. I finally brought her here."

" Did she bother you?"

"Haha...No, she was obedient, just like you."

"Was she beautiful?"

"Yeah."

"Did she look like me?"

"Of course."

Lucas said and watched as Anne’s smile widened.

"So...do you love her?"

Lucas asked, feeling happy as he talked with Anne.

"Yeah, I love her. Isn’t that why I waited so long?"

"Mmmm."

Lucas mumbled and kept Anne busy talking till Felix came back, which definitely was going to be a lot late with the reunion.

As expected, Felix only came out a long time later when Lucas made sure to observe so he could keep in his mind how Felix looked after seeing Asher and his child after the birth.

He looked relieved.

That’s all Lucas could explain.

And, honestly, that’s what he guessed Felix to look like too.

After all this chaos, finally having both Asher and the baby safe must be the most relieving thing he had witnessed in a long time.

"Anne, let’s go. Asher and your sister are waiting for you."

Felix said and held Anne’s hand, then leading her inside.

As they entered the room and the door closed again, Anne looked up at Felix, then smiled.

"I can’t wait to see them too. Father Ash and...Bella."
