Chapter 179: Not Good...

While things seemed to be getting normal in Felix’s head, he felt quite reassured every single time he thought about how his life has become to look like.

It all feels really perfect.

Felix was feeling extra giddy during the last days and Asher obviously noticed it. So did Anne who couldn’t realise why he was looking glowy and somewhat more pleasant than ever.

"Yeah, I am happy."

Felix mumbled out when Asher asked if he was feeling good.

Asher was excited that Felix seemed to have gained more energy and positivity.

They then shifted to the topic of their upcoming family member and about more preparation.

And...that’s where Felix suddenly remembered something.

"Asher, what about marriage?"

Felix asked as he looked at Asher who was already staring at him curiously as Felix had been visibly and very obviously hesitating for sometime now.

"Marriage?"

Asher asked with a smile and a thoughtful tone as Felix finally expressed his curiosity.

"I realised we never talked about it."

Felix said.

"Can we get married?"

Asher asked thoughtfully, looking serious.

"Why...can’t we?"

Felix asked.

"Then, let’s do it."

Asher jumped up and said.

"...?"

"Why?"

Asher chuckled at Felix’s face and asked.

"No...I didn’t think it was that simple for you to decide."

Felix said while rubbing his cheek, suddenly behaving awkwardly.

"Well, it’s not about the marriage thing. It’s about you. If a marriage can tie you up to me forever, then obviously, I would want that."

Asher said while laughing, then getting on top of Felix.

"Well, if that’s what you want, marriage isn’t necessary at all. Because I would tie myself to you anyway."

Felix said and Asher grinned, placing his head on Felix’s chest.

"Yeah, I would too. So...I don’t think marriage is that important. At least at this time. Because we have bigger things to celebrate."

Asher said thoughtfully to which Felix agreed without hesitation.

A marriage...

It only sounds and feels complicated.

The way they are now, it’s the best and simplest way to enjoy their time together.

So...marriage wasn’t actually an important topic for both of them now.

"A name?"

As they were falling into silence, Asher brought back a conversation again. Finally, he got to talk about this one he had wanted to.

"Yeah, we have to think of a name. We had not thought about a name for her yet."

Asher said again as he gently rubbed Felix’s hand.

"So...you have one in mind?"

Asked Felix.

"No. I have no idea and I am afraid I would give some stupid suggestions."

"Well...let’s see if they are good. So you can tell me what you have thought of so far."

"No...I don’t know any names. But I do have an idea."

"...What?"

"Let’s invite Anne to suggest some names. She could feel more involved with the baby’s life too."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I am pretty sure she would have some good names."

"Then you can talk with her. I will leave it to you."

Felix said and Asher nodded.

"Ah, also...I guess Lucas will be here tomorrow. So, shall we go and meet the witch with him like we planned?"

"Ah! Yeah, let’s do it."

Asher and Felix tried covering everything they hadn’t had closure during their conversation and went to sleep feeling somewhat relaxed and satisfied. They were feeling really happy and excited..

But...little did they know that wouldn’t be the same when they woke up the next day.

The next morning, Asher woke up to extreme pain in his stomach. Confused and terrified, Asher was left helpless. He couldn’t even lift a finger as the pain was becoming unbearable.

Unfortunately, Felix had already gone to work and Asher was alone in the room. He couldn’t scream or...he didn’t want to do that and draw attention. He just wished Felix would be there soon.

However, it didn’t continue as he expected.

Finally feeling weak and lost, Asher closed his eyes and let out a few sobs, trying to calm his breath and reduce the pain.

He raised his body, yet falling back as the pain got worse with his movement.

But now, rather than the pain, he was scared and worried.

"My baby...Is something wrong with her?"

Asher mumbled as he hugged his stomach, pleading from whoever the god to protect his child. He was...in pain but he only wanted the relief for his daughter.

Till he finally passed out on the floor, he cried and wished he would not wake up to anything bad. He didn’t want to pass out at all. Because he was scared that getting weak like this would be affecting his daughter very badly.

However, he passed out.

And was found by Felix not soon after when he came to check on him.

Thankfully, by that time Lucas had also arrived there to see them. So, Felix rushed Lucas to check on Asher where Lucas was left confused as Asher seemed fine.

At first Felix even thought Asher had somehow fallen or climbed down to the floor and fell asleep. But then, seeing his pale complex and undried tears, he called Lucas to the room.

Feeling overwhelmed by Felix’s scared expression and Asher’s condition, Lucas was left frustrated too. Lucas couldn’t find anything wrong with Asher so he suggested they leave to the witch just then.

Lucas had a big faith in the witch. He had witnessed how a lot of sick people that come to him later get healed by the witch in their first visit. It’s something he can’t do with his skills or knowledge.

Well, that same witch still couldn’t help Felix though because she doesn’t get involved with anything that had been related to dark magic. But at least...she might be able to help Asher.

Lucas and Felix then immediately carried Asher to the carriage, departing off to the witch, where...nothing got better. but also worse.

Infact, they found out something they didn’t even imagine...

Which was somewhat a good thing as things would have gotten much worse without them even not knowing what was actually wrong with Asher.

But what they found out...

It was...not good.
