Chapter 168: Getting Married

"I am sorry I fell asleep."

Felix said and looked at Asher apologetically to which Asher frowned.

"What are you apologising for? Falling asleep is normal."

Asher said and slided off the bed, stretching his body.

Felix watched him silently and then he also slided off to the edge of the bed, sitting down.

Asher turned to him and suddenly smiled, then came closer, placing a gentle kiss on his head.

"I-"

Asher was going to say something when there was a knock on the door, making both of them turn there.

"I am sorry to disturb you. But, there is a carriage waiting outside that was sent by the prince Karl. The driver said both sir Felix and sir Asher had to come as soon as possible."

It was Bill who came to deliver a message. Asher and Felix looked at each other in confusion and Felix walked to meet Bill and ask for more details.

Asher sat down and waited for the duke to come back after talking to Bill. After some time, Asher saw him come back inside and close the door with an annoyed look on his face, yet not that offended.

"It’s...Karl. He wants to see us. Immediately, he said."

Felix said and Asher couldn’t help but chuckle.

Felix looked at him confused since he actually expected Asher to be surprised and taken aback for getting pushed to go somewhere like that.

"I am sure he is excited to be a grandfather."

Asher said and Felix stared at Asher who was now laughing.

’Asher is right. He is trying to play grandfather...again.’

Felix thought and felt not so tense since Asher looked honestly okay with whatever was happening.

Right...the planned tea time was also ruined because of him. That bastard will definitely say something about it too. Maybe he should hear it since he ruined a time they should have enjoyed together.

"So...do you want to go...but it has to be right now. He had told the driver not to come back unless with us. But I can do somet-"

"It’s alright. Let’s go. I want to show him now you are more occupied with me."

Asher said and quickly grabbed some clothes, rushing to the bathroom to change.

Felix was dumbfounded again. He didn’t understand since when Asher felt comfortable enough to...compete with Karl. Even when he was talking about the tea time plan, Asher was hesitant.

But now, Asher seemed kind of excited too.

It sounded like he and Karl were all good.

Felix also quickly changed his clothes after Asher and came out. Then, they both got on the carriage, leaving for the royal palace.

Asher was so in denial that he got excited.

He only realised he got excited once they were on the way.

Not soon after they arrived at their destination, Felix thanked the driver for his patience since that bastard had let this innocent driver suffer.

Felix and Asher then walked to the same room from before and knocked on it where Asher and Felix confusingly stared at each other as they were left stranded there for a few minutes.

For a moment, they were going to turn back and leave to ask someone if the prince was not there but then suddenly the door was opened in a hurry. And there stood Lucas, looking all flushed and looking angry.

Felix stepped inside first and he didn’t notice anything abnormal. But Asher did.

"... Your collar, sir."

Asher whispered to Sir Lucas whose clothes seemed quite crumpled and the collar not tidied up. And...Asher obviously saw the red bite mark.

Asher couldn’t help but immediately walk to catch up with Felix as he felt his face getting hot.

’So...sir Lucas...’

Asher, upset mindly, sat next to Felix, very close to him and then secretly looked at sir Lucas who was also now looking at him with an ashamed expression.

"Why does one side of your face look red? Like someone slapped you?"

Felix asked Karl who was sitting on the couch with a very normal annoying smile.

Lucas disturbed Karl but Karl smirked at Lucas, then turned to Felix and Asher.

Karl leaned in and said which made Asher finally believe he was indeed talking to him.

Asher looked at Felix who was giving an annoyed glare to Karl.

He seemed to have seen that but ignored it as he stared at Asher who then nodded his head, acknowledging him.

Karl then leaned back again, turning to Lucas who was still standing up.

"Sit down."

Karl said but Lucas didn’t sit at where Karl showed which was right next to him. Lucas sat next to Asher, glaring at Karl with an angry gaze.

Karl seemed to laugh at this and not feel so threatened by Lucas’s glare. Obviously...he was used to it. Lucas can’t scare him anymore.

"Sigh...so, how is it going? Lucas told me the news."

Karl turned to Asher and Lucas, finally coming to the topic.

"Did we even have enough time to find out how it is going? You brought us here this early."

Felix complained and Karl chuckled, then acting apologetic.

"But I was too impatient."

Karl shrugged and said to which Lucas scolded him.

"I told you to wait."

"How can I?"

"You can. You just don’t want to. Entitled bastard."

"Hmmph! You are calling me entitled?"

"Yeah...Aren’t you?"

"Well...I am."

"Shameless idiot."

Lucas and Karl argued in front of them and Asher honestly now didn’t even have any doubt. They were definitely together. Or...at least are closer than just friends...

Felix didn’t notice anything Asher noticed. He just watched Lucas angrily scream at Karl, not so loudly which he most of the time does, then Karl talking back while trying to anger Lucas more with his annoying grin...

"Ugh! Shut up and go back to the topic. I don’t want to talk to you."

Lucas said and tied his hands in front of his chest, then leaned back as he looked away.

Karl then scoffed, rolling his eyes.

He wasn’t scared by that at all.

Must be because he knew how to get Lucas to talk to him...

"So! When are you two getting married? I am excited!"

Karl joyfully asked and only then did Asher and Felix realised....

They didn’t think about getting married...
