"Let’s wait in your office for sir Lucas. I am pretty sure you do not want to wait in that room."

Asher said and Felix agreed, then both of them went to the duke’s office where Felix was reminded of his negligence toward his work too.

It sucks to even think about how much of a fool he was...

Felix was going to walk to his table to tidy up the unorganised documents on his table but Asher pulled him back and forced him to sit down on the couch and wait. Asher knew if the duke were to sit on that chair, he would not get up unless he finished whatever work he had left unattended.

Well...it was not like things hadn’t been done. Bill would always be doing the work while Felix is absent . So, he might not get stuck in a big pile of work thanks to Bill.

"I told you. Work is for later."

Asher sat next to the duke and waited for sir Lucas to come. It didn’t take much time for him to come though. Since he was also just as worried as Asher, when he was called there, he immediately came there.

Bill informed him to go to the office and not to the room like he did these past days.

When Lucas heard that, his first thought was that Felix had finally come outside. He was suddenly hopeful and he couldn’t explain the joy he felt when he saw that idiot actually sitting there.

It’s good to see this idiot even if he sometimes can be like a very misbehaving child that always annoys him...

When Asher and Felix saw Lucas, both of them got up in unison, looking at each other. Lucas had a wide smile on his face which then turned into a sarcastic one as he looked at Felix, up and down.

"Look who is here."

Asher, not so obviously, bumped the duke’s shoulder as if encouraging him. Felix understood the sign and bowed his head, sincerely apologising for the trouble he had caused.

Lucas suddenly seemed moved and when Felix saw that, he felt relieved that his apology could make up for the stress he had caused Lucas the past few days.

Was it...really that simple?

It wasn’t like that at all. Because Lucas was worried and curious why this frog suddenly jumped out of its well, he didn’t want to make the atmosphere tense and ruin the good atmosphere. But he will let Felix pay for everything he did. Literally...

Lucas asked as he sat down, making Felix look at him nervously.

Lucas said and unknowingly, Felix’s hand rubbed his face, recalling the punch Asher gave him. So he has offended everyone, hasn’t he? Even Asher was angry. So.. Lucas would obviously be angry.

Asher saw Felix covering his face and rubbing his nose which made him recall how he punched the duke too since Sir Lucas also said such a thing.

Both Asher and Felix suddenly became awkward which alerted Lucas as he then observed Asher who was looking away with a somewhat guilty expression, then Felix, rubbing his face.

"Hey, Did Asher punch you before I did?"

Lucas asked and Asher, feeling suddenly taken aback, stared at the duke.

Does sir Lucas have to be the one to punch the duke first if something occurs?

Asher suddenly felt bad but Lucas then started laughing, easing the tension.

"This bastard deserved that for making us all worry by being so stubborn if you really did punch him."

Lucas said and gave a glare to Felix who immediately looked down.

Honestly, Felix had no idea how much Lucas was stressed just because him. Lucas was sleepless for days as he searched for solutions to help Felix. Actually, he wanted to find something that was convincing enough to make Felix think he could change his fate, which could make him calm down and listen to what he has to say.

More than helping him, at that moment, Lucas first wanted to just bring him out of that room without forcing him too much since isolating himself like this would make whatever condition he has worsen as they can’t even observe him.

Alas, he knew how Felix always tends to overthink and go as far as to think killing himself is the best for everyone. That guy always thinks about others, not himself. Lucas had failed to change his mind set so far which he always felt disappointed about when situations like this came.
