My Dear Duke(BL)
Chapter 106: The Other Father

Chapter 106: The Other Father

We are going to pick our clothes today."

After a few more days, Felix informed Asher. Instead of coming to Anne, he informed Asher since the message would be passed to her anyway. Alas, Asher would be going with them too.

Asher passed the message to Anne and ever since then, she was very excited and impatiently waited till the evening came as it would be the only time Felix would be free to go.

So, when finally the time came, they came to the town, that same shop and was greeted by lady Anna, the owner again.

After some more talk, they went to the room they went to before where this time, the mess was a little better.

The lady seemed to have anticipated their visit and had been prepared.

Anne, excited, tried on her dress and was very happy with the outcome.

But, Felix was quite taken aback as the dress had a lot of black colour than pink or yellow she usually wore. Well, tastes could be changed, so...

Felix also tried on his suit to see if there was anything to fix. Thankfully, there was no problem so unlike that day, they got to leave the shop soon after paying for the service.

While walking back to their carriage, Asher who walked side by side to miss Anne, bumped into someone and was quite hurt that he even left out a groan.

As if he wasn’t in enough pain, the man who he bumped into turned around and started yelling at him, making Asher panic.

"Watch where you’re going! Are you blind?! Idiot!"

Asher was so shocked that he started to slightly tremble as the man screamed at him. And, people were watching them with interest. Asher was terrified. Seeing the situation, Felix came front to confront the man and held Asher behind him as Anne held Asher’s hand, glaring at the man, her eyes piercing through him.

The man who had been yelling at Asher took a few steps back, seeing the two people seemingly very threatening. Even the child looked scary. Maybe realising he should just slip away, he ignored the duke’s fierce glare and tried to walk away but Felix grabbed his arm and held the man.

"Where are you going? Apologise."

The man who was actually quite scared before, now scoffed at Felix’s ’request’. Felix wasn’t really threatening because he always tried to solve things calmly. If it doesn work, then it wouldn’t be too good for anyone that is involved in the situation. He can be really bad when he gets angry.

"Apologise for what?" That bastard doesn’t know where he walks! Low life!"

Even though the man screamed again which would definitely lead to a fight or something serious, now people who should be watching them with more interest, slowly walked away as they knew who this man was offending right now. They didn’t want to even witness anything.

The man also seemed to notice as he suddenly went silent, looking nervous after he screamed at Felix’s face. But he wasn’t ready to apologise no matter what.

"If you don’t want to apologise, you shouldn’t have even thought about yelling at him. Apologise or you will regret it."

Felix, seemingly really calm, said with indifference which seemed to have suddenly made the man feel more threatened. Usually, the people who are calm during heated moments are the most dangerous people. They know how to control themselves and attack at the right time which makes them monstrous.

"I am sorry."

The man mumbled out an apology. Even though it wasn’t very sincere and was just out of fear, Felix let go of him as Asher didn’t seem to stay there anymore. He definitely wouldn’t have wanted an apology but Felix wanted it to be delivered. Even though...he knew apologies never can reverse the pain. But he did it anyway. He didn’t know why he asked for an apology when he should have done more.

Observing this guy, Felix realised this man must be someone new here. He had never seen him before which obviously confirms that since Felix had seen a lot of people and remembered almost all of them. That guy looked around in his 20’s, maybe even the same age as them and from the way he was dressing, he was definitely a noble class person. That must be also why he acted so arrogant. And, calling the other a ’low life’.

Only those people who believe they are higher than everyone else will call that to someone else. Hypocrites...

Dumb and arrogant nobles.

As if they would never want help from those so called ’low lives’.

Those low lives are the ones that basically keep them active and giving them what they are earning right now.

Stupid bastards...

Felix let go of the man with a disgusted expression on his face and walked away with Asher and Anne, but not before glaring down at the man to remember him since there was a chance he might see him again.

As Felix left with Asher close to him, Anne also walked away with them, but from quite behind as she slowed down on purpose.

She stared at the man who had a pained expression and shame on his face and holding his arm that had been squeezed really hard by Felix.

’I know he is too easy going. But it should have been his neck.’

Anne thought and stepped past the man, then her lips suddenly drawing a smirk.

’It’s alright. I still have to show my displeasure.’

Anne fasted her steps, walking side by side with his F-father who seemed angry.

’It’s been a long time since I have seen him angry like this. So...brother Ash can mess with his self control, huh?’

Anne knew...If this same thing happened to himself, he would have just ignored it. He would only stop and intervene like that, only for the people he cares and cherishes.

Before he would have done it only for Anne...

Now...he pauses for her brother Ash too...

She knew it!

Brother Ash will be introduced as his other father very soon!
