Chapter 104: "Happiness Feels Good, But My Cheeks Hurt."

"No need for that duke. I am doing fine."

After waking up from their naps, Asher was offered help and more time to rest. But he was really doing fine and didn’t want to take advantage when it wasn’t necessary. The duke did try to convince him to rest more, seemingly guilty about having to exhaust Asher.

It’s becoming more and more attractive to Asher’s eyes.

It’s really appealing to see the duke honestly concerned. And..Mm...him pleading?

He is cute.

Yeah...no doubt.

The duke looked- timid? naive? Innocent? Overall, he was adorable.

So much so that now Asher felt like he is now liking the duke more than his miss.

That’s sad but he knows it.

This man is bending Asher toward him more and more by day.

Like magic...

’Haha...He is cute.’

Asher convinced the duke he was fine. Actually, now he feels like his body has gotten used to having sex. It’s not very exhausting after and he does have energy to do more things unlike before.

Could be some effect of sir Lucas’s medicines though.

’Right, I only took the pill just yesterday. I didn’t expect to get my heat that early. So, I didn’t take it before, but...it isn’t a problem, right?’

After he realised he didn’t take a pill before his heat since his heat unexpectedly came early , he decided he would consume the pill on the first day of every month from the next month. That way, he wouldn’t be making any mistakes.

"Duke is going to work?"

When the duke was done getting ready, Asher asked.

"Mm..."

The duke mumbled.

"Aren’t you tired? You are always working."

Asher asked with a groan.

"Well...I love working. Alas, it is my job anyway."

The duke chuckled and answered Asher who seemed more upset than him for having to go to work.

"I don’t understand. I thought being a duke was like just ordering around. I didn’t expect the duke to have a pile of papers piled on the table like that. Haha..."

Asher said as he slid to the edge of the bed, sitting up.

"I also wish to go and order around others to do things on my behalf. But unfortunately, I am in charge of a lot of things with this position."

The duke said as he watched Asher staring at him with a disappointed look on his face.

Honestly, Asher actually believed being a duke was not that hard. Turned out, the dukes and those nobles with higher positions are not just showing off. But doing endless work at an office.

"So it comes with responsibility... But, it must be exhausting. It feels like sitting in front of that table all day is harder than wiping floors in the whole mansion."

Asher said, groaning again as he felt annoyed for whatever the reason..

"Well...it is not hard, but time consuming. It is frustrating. So I am in a bad mood when I can’t finish a task within the time I planned. So, yeah, it’s annoying."

The duke said seriously, with a big frown. Because like he said, he did miss some work due to his heat today.

Seeing their talk starting to ruin the duke’s mood, Asher changed the subject as he didn’t want the duke to be feeling down even before he started working for the day.

Asher did not change the subject with words.

But...with his lips.

Asher leaned in, his lips touching the duke’s lips. Asher placed a very gentle kiss then withdrew himself without going further.

"You seem upset. Remember I promised?"

Asher said, feeling a sense of victory. The duke, who was surprised, relaxed his expression soon and smiled at Asher.

"But I am still upset."

He said.

"No you’re not. See, you are smiling."

Asher said as he pointed his finger at the duke.

"Smiling doesn’t mean I am not upset."

The duke shrugged his shoulders and reasoned with Asher.

"...You are fooling around duke. If you stop smiling, then I can confirm you are upset."

Asher said, teasingly.

The duke, quite amused, tried doing something but he was still smiling as Asher stared at him, glad to see the duke smiling.

"I can’t stop my smile."

The duke complained.

He didn’t really have a big smile. But his lips kept going upward, curving to a gentle smile.

"It’s because you are happy, duke."

"...Yeah..."

"So you do agree?"

Asher asked.

"Mm...Happiness feels good. But my cheeks hurt."

The duke said and Asher broke down laughing at his innocent expression and the comment.

"Haha!"

Asher was overjoyed and placed a kiss on the duke’s cheek, then looked at him with tender eyes...

"It won’t hurt anymore. Okay?"

Asher said teasingly.

"I am not a kid. Just to get better with one kiss..."

The duke complained in a low voice seeing Asher was making fun of him.

"You just want more, aren’t you duke? Then take it all."

Asher’s lips fiercely attacked the duke’s lips as he enjoyed the duke’s suddenly flustered finches with his actions. He was acting all brave before, but what now?

’He is so innocent I want to tease him so bad.’

The duke is always good with words to provoke Asher but as Asher goes into action, the duke, like a little puppy, shrink and become so small that Asher wantes to adore him.

He just deserves it!

How could this guy make Asher feel so happy and excited, caring and gentle? Everytime he see the duke looking dumb like this, Asher wants to squeese him and pamper him, tease him more till the duke would do fail attempts to stop him. It’s the most tempting thing to his eyes when it happenes.

He wants to mess with the duke even more in those times.

He wants to make this man blush, make him flustered, make him stutter...

Should Asher be concerned now?

His true colours are coming to the light now.

He is having weird wishes.

He is comparing the duke to a puppy.

And, calling this mighty man ’cute’.

What kind of crime is he committing?

’I am going crazy. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I expect more and more...and then...more. But I like it.’

Well...this didn’t come to his mind.

But isn’t he basically bullying the duke?
