The wind whipped across the deck of the ship, causing the metal hull to creak. On the starboard side, three figures hung precariously over the ocean, their bodies swaying with each movement of the vessel.

Feng Shiyan’s wrists, bound with coarse rope, hurt from the constant strain. To his left, Tang Can struggled to stay calm, her eyes shut tight. Her pregnant belly seemed like a cruel irony given their situation.

Between them, Su Huiying hung limply, her strength waning.

"Hold on, Mum," Tang Can called out. "You have to endure before Xue Mei and Feng Shihan will come to get us."

Feng Shiyan looked up, searching for their captor. Ye Chen Ling appeared at the railing, gazing down at them with a cold detached smiled.

"How touching," she said, her voice carrying over the wind. "Such faith in your family. I wonder, will it be rewarded? Or will you become nothing more than fish food at the bottom of this sea?"

"Ye Chen Ling you bastard! How dare you do this? You do you think you are, you obsessive ingrate!"

Feng Shiyan cursed fiercely when he saw Ye Chen Ling, he thought she had finally disappeared from his brother’s life after all the hurt she caused him but this monster still roamed free.

Tang Can’s eyes fluttered open, her gaze fixed on Ye Chen Ling. "You’re making a mistake," she said, her voice steady despite the fear that threatened to overwhelm her. "Feng Shihan will find us. And when he does, you’ll pay for what you’ve done."

Ye Chen Ling laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "I’m not afraid of Feng Shihan," she said. "He’s no match for me, I want him to come to me, ive been waiting for a long time and now he’ll finally be mine.."

"You sick fuck, Shihan will never be yours, you’ve already tried to ruin his life once, do you think he’ll give you the second chance to do it again. He doesn’t give a fuck about you.."

Ye Chen Ling’s eyes darkened "Impossible! Feng Shihan will love only ME! ME! Or no one else, I’ll ruin Tang Xue Mei, I’ll take those kids, if it’s not me, then there will be no one!"

They all drew a sharp breath at Ye Chen Ling’s words.

Feng Shiyan gritted his teeth, he knew she was crazy but this woman had gone completely insane.

Su Huiying stirred, her eyes fixed on Ye Chen Ling. "You’re a monster," she whispered, her voice barely audible.

Ye Chen Ling’s smile grew wider. "Perhaps," she said. "But I’m a monster who has the upper hand. And soon, I’ll have everything I want."

Feng Shiyan’s anger boiled over, and he struggled against his bonds. "You’ll never get away with this.."

he snarled.

Ye Chen Ling’s smile faltered for a moment, and then she turned and disappeared from view.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the ropes that bound them to the ship’s railing were released, and the three prisoners were pulled back onto the deck. They collapsed onto the wooden planks, exhausted and shaken.

Feng Shiyan lay on his back, his wrists and ankles throbbing in pain. He closed his eyes, grateful to be free from the constant strain of hanging over the side of the ship.

Tang Can rolled onto her side, her pregnant belly aching from the ordeal. She clutched her stomach, feeling a wave of nausea wash over her.

Su Huiying struggled to sit up, her frail body trembling with exhaustion. She looked around at her daughter and Feng Shiyan, her eyes filled with concern.

"Are you both alright. Can how’s your stomach?" she asked, her voice weak but she needed to know if Tang Can was okay.

Feng Shiyan nodded, still lying on his back. "I think so," he said. "Just...just exhausted."

Tang Can nodded, her eyes fixed on her mother. "I’m fine, Mum," she said. "Just...just worried about the baby."

Su Huiying’s face fell, and she reached out to touch her daughter’s belly. "We’ll get through this, Can, try to sit up it would be a big help if we could get some water.."

Feng Shiyan sat up, his eyes scanning the deck. Ye Chen Ling was nowhere to be seen, but he knew she would return soon. They had to come up with a plan, and fast

Du! Du! Du!

Tang Xue Mei quickly picked her phone as she answered "Beicheng any news?"

There was a bit of silence at the other end of the phone before Ming Beicheng answered "It’s bad news I’m afraid....the restaurant as been burnt to ashes and the the companies stocks are plummeting exponentially, not only yours but your family’s as well.."

Feng Shihan raised his head, when he heard the loud crash, he eyes widened when he saw Xue Mei’s condition.

"Are you okay? Xue Mei are you hurt anywhere?"

Tang Xue Mei looked at Feng Shihan was tears rolled out of her eyes, everything was gone, whosoever was doing this wanted her to lose everything.

"The restaurant...I’ve lost Yu Long palace...it’s burnt down to ashes, the stocks, my dad’s company, my mum, Can...am I going to lose everything?"

Feng Shihan bit his lips, he had to leave but he was worried about Tang Xue Mei’s condition.

She looked like she was about to lose it.

"Can you promise me you’ll calm down and be patient. I’ll take care of everything now.."

Feng Shihan stood up, if he didn’t appear before Ye Chen Ling right now, Xue Mei could really lose everything.

"Calm down for my sake, for yours and for our babies. I need you to be strong Xue Mei, so I can focus, seeing you like this makes me worry Xue Mei.."

Tang Xue Mei tears slowly down falling, realizing she was putting Feng Shihan in a tight position.

"I’m sorry, I’ll be calm...you go and do what you have to do. I’ll wait for you.."

"Ken do you have any news, good ones...that’s all I want to hear right now.."

Feng Shihan sighed as he answered the call.

"Fortunately boss it’s good news, I’ve found their location, their in a ship heading towards the Yooshin ocean.."

Feng Shihan eyes widened as his hands tightened "Get the choppers ready if they get to Yooshin ocean we’ll won’t be able to find them..."

Clack!

Feng Shihan ended the call and turned to Tang Xue Mei.

"Be good and don’t cry anymore..."

Dun! Dun!

"Young master...the madam, young missy, old master and the second young madam are all here. They’re waiting to see you and the young madam.."

Tang Xue Mei quickly wiped her tears and stood up.

"They’re waiting for us, let’s go...I won’t cry anymore, i was just a bit shock but I won’t cry or worry anymore. I know you’ll definitely get them back.."

Feng Shihan nodded and stood up giving Tang Xue Mei a soft kiss on the lips and held her hands gently.

"Alright let’s head down, I’m starving...have breakfast with me before I go.."

As Feng Shihan and Tang Xue Mei made their way down to meet with the rest of the family, they were greeted with a mix of worried and relieved expressions.

Xia Yuya, was the first to speak up, her eyes scanning her daughter-in-law’s face. "Xue Mei, dear, what happened? What’s going on?"

Tang Xue Mei took a deep breath and explained the situation, trying to keep her emotions in check. "They burned down Yu Long Palace, and the stocks are plummeting. My dad’s company is in shambles, and I’m afraid we’re going to lose everything. But I’m not even worried about that, I just want my mum and and sister back, Shiyan too.."

Feng Zhenghui hissed as he tapped his walking stick harshly on the tiled floor.

"Just who the hell thinks they can mess with our Feng family. How dare they mess with our people!"
