"Alicia, can you come into my office for a while?"

Leia waved dresses in a white shirt and black pencil skirt with a pair of matching heels.

"What do you need me for?"

Alicia smiled politely dressed in a matching outfit as Leia but her’s has a different designs.

"Follow me in please.."

The afternoon sun filtered through the large windows of Leia’s spacious office, illuminating the busy space.

Drawings and fabric samples were spread out across every available surface. In the center of this creative chaos stood a large table, covered with more designs and clothing samples.

"Looks like you’ve been busy.."

Alicia chuckled seeing the creative mess of a office Leia had. She always remembers to tidy up her designs so she they wouldn’t get in the way.

"Haha...I just get swallowed up in the designs when I start..."

Alicia smiled and started picking up the drafts and samples on the ground.

"Let’s tidy up first, things so missing when a place is messy.."

Leia agreed and bent down to join Alicia as they cleaned up the place.

It took them 20 minutes but the office was finally looking neat and tidy.

"Thank you Alicia, do you want something to drink"

Leia walked to the fridge and grabbed a can of coke and placing it in front of Alicia.

"I can’t...I have to stay away from "happy fat water" this month but I’d like some water.."

Leia chuckled and took the coke while handing a bottle of water to Leia.

"So the boss wants to hosts a fashion show for the start of spring next week..."

Leia stood tall near her desk, her long blonde hair catching the light as she examined a drawing before passing it to Alicia.

"This are some of the designs I’ve been working on lately, I got the the idea throughout my stay with the boss..."

"You live with the CEO?!"

Leia nodded, living with Tang Xue Mei meant she didn’t have to spend much so she could save most of the money she earned.

"Wow, you’re lucky!"

Alicia looked at Leia’s designs and her eyes widened, they were so good it made her looks inferior.

"Do you also have some drafts, I believe the drafts i have shoukd he enough for 3 models, so do you have enough drafts for three models?"

Alicia gulped she had some drafts but there was no way they could match up to Leia’s.

Leia noticed the change in Alicia expression and sighed.

"Tell Alicia, why did you choose to become a fashion designer?"

Alicia smiled her mother wanted to be a model so she could wear all the latest and trending clothes but due to their circumstances she couldn’t.

"My mum is my main inspiration.."

Leia smiled and nodded she had learnt something when she met other designers at the fashion event. And that was there would always be a design better than yours but there will always be people would love your designs.

"Your works are beautiful you just need to keep working hard and you’ll get to the level you want to be. At the fashion event I also released there are other designers better than myself which makes me want to improve myself more."

Alicia smiled feeling a bit of hope hearing Leia’s words.

"We need to select the pieces for the runway," Leia said calmly, tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her ear. "Something that will showcase our new spring collection effectively with both our designs."

Alicia nodded, her eyes already scanning the designs on the table. "Agreed. But how do we blend your minimalist aesthetic with my more vibrant style?" She offered a small smile as she said this.

For a moment, they both stood in contemplation. Then, almost simultaneously, they began to work.

Leia approached the task methodically, selecting her pieces with care. She chose light colors and clean lines, occasionally pausing to brush her blonde hair from her eyes. Alicia was more dynamic, gravitating towards bright hues and bold patterns.

Initially, they worked independently. But as time passed, a shift began to occur. Leia found herself drawn to one of Alicia’s colorful patterns, envisioning how it might complement her understated jacket. Alicia realized that Leia’s minimalist pieces could serve as the perfect canvas for her statement accessories.

Gradually, they began to collaborate and their ideas flowed freely and excitement built as they watched their vision take shape.

"What if we start with softer tones?" Leia suggested, arranging her pieces in a gradient from light to dark, her blonde hair shimmering in the fading sunlight, "And then progress to more vibrant hues?"

Alicia nodded enthusiastically, reaching for her bolder designs. "Brilliant! And we could culminate with this..." She presented Leia with a sketch of an avant-garde gown.

Leia studied it, then picked up a pencil. She made a few alterations to the design, seamlessly blending her minimalist approach with Alicia’s dramatic flair. Alicia’s face lit up as she saw how well their styles complemented each other.

"This is... actually quite impressive.."

Leia crossed her arms as she stared at the 10 design draft on the table.

6 of the 10 were 3 each of their personal draft and the remaining 4 were designs created from their collaboration.

"I’m also surprised we could pull this off in under 3 hours.."

Leia looked at the clock as she sat down feeling a wave of satisfaction wash over her.

"The results came out better than I expected!"

Alicia smiled she had even impressed herself, thanks to Leia she was able to improve her previous designs.

"I’ll show this is Liu Liu, she’s our only model at the moment, we’ll need to invite more if we want the fashion show to last more than 30 minutes.."

Leia nodded she would ask Tang Xue Mei later how they were going to get these models.

"I’m sure miss Tang knows what to do..."

Alicia nodded and picked 3 drafts out of the designs to show Liu Liu and left the office.
