Leia smiled she hoped to learn more them if she got the chance.

Finally it was time for the last showcase of the day.

The fashion house was abuzz with excitement as the latest collection of luxury jewelry was about to be unveiled.

But just as the show was about to begin, disaster struck. The star of the show, a one-of-a-kind diamond necklace worth millions, was discovered missing.

"Well it seems the star of the show has become shy.."

The hostess lips twitched as she eyed the manager, where the heck was the diamond.

The room was thrown into chaos, and the fashion house’s security team sprang into action, reviewing the footage and questioning the guests.

To everyone’s shock, the evidence pointed to Tang Xue Mei.

Tang Xue Mei shifted uncomfortably as she stared at the men in front of her. Her lips twisting down in displeasure.

The CCTV footage showed her in proximity to the display case where the necklace was kept but that was the only thing.

"Are you saying I’m the thief just because I stood close the display case?"

Tang Xue Mei watched as the room turned noisy, right now she was the number one suspect in the disappearance of the star diamond.

The news spread like wildfire, and soon the fashion world was abuzz with the scandal. Tang Xue Mei was accused of stealing the necklace, and her reputation was plummeting as the news spread on.

"You’re the only one you stood close to the diamond, you’re the one who stole it.."

The security man reached to grab Tang Xue Mei had but she slapped it away.

"Is your head in the gutter? What kind of stupid logic is that?"

The security man was embarrassed as he took a step back glancing at his superior.

"I expect you all to have some brains, seriously! Where the hell would I put it?"

The crowd murmured, it was a big diamond and it was no single place for her to hide it with the dress she was wearing.

"What about her designer? She has a purse!"

Leia was immediately thrown into the mix.

She was dragged and thrown to the Tang Xue Mei side.

"Why did you push her so violently? She’s not the thief! Neither am I.."

Leia purse was snatched away from her and all the contents were dumped into the floor.

"No..the perfume..."

The glass bottle fell to the ground and broke into tiny pieces.

"That perfume costs 10 thousand yuan please remember to pay it back when you’re done with this bullshit.."

The interrogation was growing pointless and now they were blalantly embarrassing Tang Xue Mei and Leia.

"Perhaps we should check them? Or have them take off their clothes.."

An Yu stepped out of the shadows dragging a waiter along with him.

He stood at the unnoticeable by the crowd as the drama continued.

"Take off your clothes, we need to do a thorough search..."

Tang Xue Mei chuckled as she crossed her arms.

"I’m growing tired of this, letting you interrogate me is one thing so don’t push it..."

The crowd couldn’t help but side with Tang Xue Mei, they all had places to be and homes to go to.

"That’s right she can’t be blamed, we all stood close to the diamond, heck we didn’t even know there was a diamond there. She shouldn’t be blamed just because she was the last person before the diamond disappeared.."

An Yu looked at his watched and walked out from the shadows, throwing the waiter in front of Tang Xue Mei and the security team.

"Since I have to do your jobs for you.."

The diamond rolled out the waiter’s waistcoat he landed on the ground.

The crowd gasped as they all stared at the waiter who struggled to his feet.

"Here’s your culprit, we want a formal apology and the payment for the perfume..."

Tang Xue Mei looked up and saw Ye Chen Ling walking towards them.

"I’m incredibly sorry, I never know the thief would be my own person. And my security team seem to be doing their jobs.."

Tang Xue Mei changed her mind if it was coming from this woman then she wasn’t sure it was safe.

"Please accept this perfume, it’s one of our items on display and I think it’s fair to give it to you..."

Leia accepted perfume with a bow and picked up the rest of things from the ground.

"Let’s go .."

Tang Xue Mei stared at Ye Chen Ling’s calm but brightly lit face and a sense of dread filled her.

In the car Leia wiped her sweat away anxiously as she patted her chest.

"Are you okay? You must have been scared to death...sorry.."

Leia shook her head she was just glad there wasn’t any strong evidence against them. She did not enjoy the feeling of being framed.

"An Yu how did you know how the thief was..."

An Yu turned back, his face mired with a frown.

"He was the last person standing next to the diamond but when the security footage came it only showed you standing there, whereas there had been many other people who walked by that place after you. I knew something was fishing, someone there was out to get you.."

Tang Xue Mei frowned, who could it be and they had done a very sloppy job as well.

Could it be Ju Jing? She didn’t set eyes on her in the event but she knew she was there.

Another person came to mind and her frowned deepened.

"That owner, she’s no ordinary person.."

Leia nodded but why would she want to hurt Tang Xue Mei? Can one develop hatred for someone just by seeing them?

"I asked Ken to check her records, she’s clean, that’s just how she is. People who were familiar with her all agreed that she tends to had weirdly happy or she becomes violent the next..."

It was best to stay away from such a person, it would be a terrible thing to be enemies with someone who had emotion imbalance.

Ju Jing settled onto her couch, sipping her drink and feeling the stress of the day melt away.

Her blood had been boiling when she saw Tang Xue Mei facing the time of her life at the event.

But now she was looking forward to a quiet night in and was grateful to have the house to herself.

But as she took another sip, Ju Jing started to feel a strange, creeping sensation in her head. It was like nothing she had ever experienced before - a mix of euphoria and disorientation that made her feel like she was floating above her body.

At first, she wrote it off as too much wine, but as the symptoms intensified, Ju Jing realized that something was very wrong. She looked around her living room, trying to focus on the familiar surroundings, but everything seemed to be shifting and blurring.

The furniture seemed to be melting, like wax in a furnace, and the colors on the walls were bleeding into each other. Ju Jing’s heart was racing, and she felt a sense of panic rising up inside her.

Ju Jing saw a petri dish next to the note with three pills in it.

There was another note on the lid.

"Once you take it in, you can’t stop.."

Ju Jing felt a sense of dread as she looked around the place.

How the hell had she gotten herself into this mess.
