They picked up Leia on the way before they headed to the house.

"Miss Tang we received an invitation from a fashion house, since you’re the new CEO of RLS they would like to know you more. They also brought gifts, luxury products their brands have to offer.."

Tang Xue Mei frowned who the heck sent out an invitation few hours before the events.

"Don’t worry about the gowns? I took the liberty to make them. I have them with me here..."

Tang Xue Mei bit her lips looks like Leia was more excited to go than her herself.

"Alright...."

Tang Xue Mei handed the card back to Leia and closed her eyes.

She needed some rest and maybe a nice meal. Her body was tired and she knew it wasn’t physically.

"We have three hours before the event, you can take a nap and get something to eat. I can take care of your hair and makeup in under one hour. We won’t be late.."

Tang Xue Mei nodded and checked her phone she hadn’t receive a call from Feng Shihan. She hoped he was okay.

Feng Shihan tied his hair tightly as he brought out a card showing it to the man at the booth.

"You’re Manbun?"

The man looked at the card and then at Feng Shihan. It was rare to see such a handsome man in such a place.

"Yeah what’s it too you?"

"Nothing...just head left.."

Feng Shihan lips twitched as he walked inside the base, who the he’ll had chosen this a.s of a name for him.

The base was a small set up in a large space but they had an advantage of trees and the waterfall to escape wherever they made an attack.

"This is going to take a while.."

Leia let Tang Xue Mei sleep for 2 hours while she worked on the dress, it hugged her figure but it was free enough not to tight her stomach.

She also gave her 3 inch heels so she couldn’t get tired of standing so early.

"Wake up sleepyhead..."

Leia poked Tang Xue Mei’s cheeks and placed the cup of ginger tea in the bed side table.

"What time is it?.." Tang Xue Mei opened her eyes begrudgingly and sat up, the little bit of sleep fleeing as she did so.

"5:25pm, I let you sleep a bit more..."

Tang Xue Mei drank the ginger tea feeling thirsty, she placed it back in the table and got up.

Walking to the bathroom—"You might want to take a shower while you’re at it..."

Tang Xue Mei nodded and grabbed her bathrobe and towel before walking inside the bathroom.

"Meow..."

Lotus stared at Leia as she sat on the ground.

"Cute kitty and you’re so fluffy.."

Leia smiled as she squatted patting Lotus to her heart’s content.

"Meow.."

Lotus walked away she ran to the window and sat there preparing for a nap.

This was her best place to nap, she made sure it had enough sunlight before her nap.

Leia stood up and checked the gown to see if there was anything the loose or out of place.

"I guess I’ll know after miss Tang wears it..."

Tang Xue Mei sat in the tub quietly, deep in thoughts.

They had done the investigation and her mother was the suspect?!

Why the heck would hee mother stage her father’s accident? What would be her gain in it?

"Fuck! It makes no sense..."

Tang Xue Mei splashed the water angrily feeling frustrated.

She sighed, she just needed a minute to herself to gather her thoughts.

"I won’t have second thoughts, I know my mother is innocent. Whosoever turned my father into a vegetable, I’ll find them and I’ll kill them..."

Standing up she grabbed her towel and stepped out of the bathroom.

Tang Xue Mei looked at the mirror, her expression was cold and filled with determination.

"Feng Shihan’s not here to protect me, so I must grow some balls and protect myself and my family. Whatsoever is happening, I won’t let it break me.."

Tang Xue Mei wiped her face before leaving the bathroom.

"Great we can begin.."

Leia stood up as she walked to the dress, raising it up for Tang Xue Mei to see.

"It’s beautiful but I have to put on some underwear first.."

"You won’t be needing a bra, just panties are fine..."

Tang Xue Mei blinked and stared at the dress and then at Leia.

"What kind..."

"Don’t worry it has in built paddings.."

Tang Xue Mei kept looking at Leia weirdly before walking to the closet to get some panties.

"It looks great on you, it accentuated hope curves and being pregnant you gained more weight. Your figure right now...is stunning..."

Tang Xue Mei looked at the gown, it was free around her stomach and tight around her waist.

It was quite exposing but Leia gave her a matching shawl so she had nothing to worry about.

"I’m using organic makeup products and also organic hair products. Wouldn’t want anything to happen to your babies."

Tang Xue Mei nodded she had changed her hair products after getting pregnant and it worked magic for her.

"The invitation says one and plus one but I have to bring An Yu along too..."

Leia nodded she guessed bodyguards were free too pass if their boss or whosoever hired them.

"I’m sure I can get him an invite or a pass in no time..."

"I saved him the trouble and got a suit for him. I asked him to change into it before coming here..."

Tang Xue Mei brows raised, Leia had everything under control...literally!

"I have nothing to say now..."

Tang Xue Mei chuckled, she wondered what made Leia so excited to go.

"I can’t remember if I’ve gone to any fashion event before but I just know I don’t want to miss this one.."

Tang Xue Mei smiled and nodded if Leia wanted to go she would not stop her.

It would be beneficial for her and the company.

"You look beautiful..."

Leia smiled after 20 minutes she took a step back.

Tang Xue Mei looked like a goddess that had stepped down from the god realm.

"You know your stuff Leia..."

Leia smiled and nodded as she gathered her things, she had rushed to and dress herself so they wouldn’t be too late.

20 minutes later, they both stepped downstairs looking dazzling.

An Yu eyes widened when he saw Tang Xue Mei.

His heart beat wildly as his eyes followed her, he eyes roamed everywhere and he had thoughts he shouldn’t be thinking about his employer.

"An Yu...you look sharp.."

An Yu face reddened as he turned his face away, Tang Xue Mei walked to the table and grabbed a bottle of water.

"Alright...shall we go?"

Tang Xue Mei clasped her hands together as she smiled at Leia.

As the sleek, black Maybach S-Class sedan glided through the crowded streets of the city.

Tang Xue Mei, resplendent in a luminary silver gown that showcased her toned figure, sat lazily and lethargic, her dark hair styled to perfection.

The city looked beautiful at dusk.

Beside her, Leia looked stunning in a delicate white dress that sparkled like diamonds in the dim light of the car.

At the front, An Yu, sat alert and attentive, his piercing gaze scanning the surroundings with a practiced air of caution.

For all he knew, there might be another ambush waiting for Tang Xue Mei .

Song Dae-Ju, expertly navigated the crowded streets, his eyes fixed on the road ahead.

Tang Xue Mei was a bit surprised that Song Dae-ju found the place so easily.

As the Maybach turned onto the prestigious Rue de la Paix, the women’s excitement grew palpable.

They were headed to the exclusive Hauteur Couture fashion house, Maison de la Rose, for an invitation-only event that would showcase the latest designs from the world’s most renowned fashion designers.
