Tang Xue Mei stared at the brunette haired woman who wore a navy blue women’s suit.

"Say, this is the newly hired manager?"

Tang Xue Mei muttered as she stared at the file and then at the smiling woman’s face.

Ming Beicheng eyes narrowed, was there anything off about that woman. If Tang Xue Mei didn’t like her then she was definitely bad news.

"Is there anything in my record that’s not to you liking?"

Tang Xue Mei smiled and shook her head, there was something fishy going on her she was sure of it now.

"Sure your time here..."

Tang Xue Mei glanced at Ming Beicheng slowly before smiling and leaving the office.

"You can head back now.."

Ming Beicheng ordered as he rushed after Tang Xue Mei.

The woman’s smile slowly disappeared as she looked around the office before leaving.

"Boss..."

"Beicheng...where did you find that woman?"

Tang Xue Mei stopped seeing as they were the only ones there.

"She was among the one with the best CV’s..."

"Keep an eye on her because I don’t trust her..."

Ming Beicheng eyes narrowed he would now to have dig into her profile now.

"Noted. I’ll take care of it."

"Don’t fire her...lets see what she wants to do.."

Ming Beicheng nodded as he walked down the stairs with Tang Xue Mei.

"So...how did your checkup go?"

"I miss Shihan...I’m happy and sad at the same time.."

Ming Beicheng commended Tang Xue Mei most women who have broken down in tears by now with the shit that was happening or maybe she was still strong enough to hold back those tears.

He wanted to see how long she would last before she cracked.

"I would have said I’m always here if you need a beer or two but....."

Tang Xue Mei chuckled she would have taken a bottle or two if she wasn’t pregnant.

An Yu stood beside the wall staring at the Tang Xue Mei with a stiff expression.

He got news...but he wasn’t sure if he should tell Tang Xue Mei.

"An Yu?"

Tang Xue Mei muttered not expecting to see him there. She frowned exactly when she saw his expression.

She could actually see his anxiousness or was it worry.

"A message from Ken but you might not like it..."

Tang Xue Mei quickly rushed to An Yu, news about her father’s accident why the hell wouldn’t she want to hear it.

"Tell me..."

She pressed as An Yu sighed, scratching his head.

"After the investigation it rounded up to one person...your mother.."

Ming Beicheng lips twitched that was certainly an unpleasant twist of events.

"Let’s talk about this behind close doors..."

Tang Xue Mei muttered as a shadow slowly disappeared from the behind wall.

She smiled, knowing her work was close to finish.

"Ken says he’ll do more investigation, she had nothing on her but somehow everything leads to her. We can’t involve the police or she might..."

"I understand...I never intended to involve the police.." she cut An Yu off and bit her lips in annoyance.

"Let’s head home ...I need ginger tea.."

Tang Xue Mei sighed this was getting a little too much for her so she had to end it quickly.

"Say, how many of these are you planning on giving out?"

A dark haired man wearing a lab coat, tapped the glass bottles as he checked the box on the note pad as he talked to the woman in the shadows.

"Enough to have time under my control, I have three woman in mind, one is already in action but I have much more bigger plans for the remaining 2.."

The black haired man kept checking off his notepad as the woman in the dark kept muttering gibberish he couldn’t understand.

"Those pills....Chen Ling, it does more harm that good and you even modified them. How are you sure it’s not going to kill them instantly...?"

The man had his doubts, he could see what these pills had done to do her. She wasn’t even in the right mind to be a villain.

"Mhm...I had that thought, so I decided to test it on myself. I’ve never felt to high...haha I could smell the clouds..."

A low, menacing chuckle erupted from Chen Ling’s bruised lips, sending goosebumps down the man’s spine.

The laugh grew louder, more maniacal. Her lips curled into a twisted grin, and her laughter reached a fever pitch, echoing off the walls like a chorus of the damned.

"I’ve lost my grip on reality and I’m loving every minute of it." She cackled and paused for a second, darting her eyes at the man. She smiled happily.

"Say, are the liquids ready? Help me inject them...I can’t smell the clouds anymore..."

The man gulped as he stared at the clear liquid. She had already taken a dose yesterday, he couldn’t afford to let her get an overdose.

"No..." he muttered slowly.

The woman’s knuckles whitened as she stared at the man with a dark glared.

"No? Did you just say no?"

The man nodded she would die from overdove if they weren’t careful.

"Overdose, you’ll die from it if you’re not careful..."

"My body will adapt to it, do you think it’s my first time taking an overdose? Just fucking shut up and give me the damn drug...I..I..want to smell the clouds, I need to go back to my room, you’re trapping me here if you don’t give me that drug."

Ye Chen Ling’s eyes darted back and forth, her pupils constricting as she scanned the decaying hospital room with a desperate intensity.

The peeling wallpaper seemed to close in on her, the rusty hospital equipment looming like specters in the dim light. Dr. Dai watched in horror as Ye Chen Ling’s face contorted, her features twisted into a mask of anguish.

The air was heavy with the stench of rot and decay, the silence between them thickening like a toxic fog. Ye Chen Ling’s chest heaved, her breathing rapid and shallow, as if she was suffocating under the weight of her own cravings.

Her skin was slick with sweat, her eyes sunken and dark, like two empty pits.

"Where is it?" Ye Chen Ling’s voice was a low, menacing growl, her words laced with a venomous intensity. "I need it, Dr. Dai. I need it, I need it now!!."

Dr. Dai stood firm, his eyes locked on Ye Chen Ling’s face, his heart heavy with a mix of pity and resolve.

"I’m not going to give it to you..." he said, his voice firm but gentle. "You know you’ve been taking too much, and I won’t be a party to your overdose. It’s an LSD drug for crying out loud Chen Ling!."

Ye Chen Ling’s face turned red, her eyes blazing with a feral intensity. "You’re lying!!" she spat, her voice rising to a shrill scream. "You’re always lying to me. You don’t care about me, you don’t care about my pain!!."

Ye Chen Ling twitched as she suddenly calmed down.

"Dr. Dai why do you hate me so much...why does the world hate me so much....just give me, just a little bit..."

Ye Chen Ling cried as she gripped her head tightly, her whimpering continued for a while before she returned back to her rampage.

"Help me, if I die that’s on me okay...I’ve been living just fine with it...the nightmares they’ll come back if you don’t give me. Just give me, just give me...just give me the damn LSD drug!!!"

Dr. Dai sighed and nodded bringing out the injection, Ye Chen Ling’s sparkled when she saw the injection.

She would finally be relieved.

The syringe, contained a potent sedative designed to render a person unconscious in mere seconds.

Dr. Dai sighed he never intended to give her the LSD drug in the first place.

With a swift motion, Dr. Dai injected the sedative into Ye Chen Ling’s arm. At first, she didn’t seem to notice, her anger and frustration still boiling over. But then, her eyes began to glaze over, her body relaxing as the drug took effect.

"You. You lied to me..."

Dr. Dai caught Ye Chen Ling as she fell, gently lowering her to the ground. He looked down at her, a mix of emotions swirling inside him.

"You don’t want to die, I can’t let you die. I need time to fix you, I can’t fix you if you’re dead..."

Dr. Dai placed her on the bed and tied her arms and legs to the rails before leaving the room.

"I hope to fix your condition Chen Ling but only if you’ll let me.."

Dr. Dai closed the door slightly and walked to another room. He grabbed a scalpel and disinfected it brfore leaving the room.
