"Flora, explain yourself now," I say angrily to Flora. It’s obvious that she is not under my control.

I don’t know how she kept her brain alive, but her body is still a corpse. If I deactivate my magic, she should stop moving... I think.

"Mistress, don’t do this," Flora says, looking straight at me with a strange look.

"Flora, it’s an order. Tell me the truth now or I’ll stop keeping you reanimated." I have no reason to trust her. The Shizune of this world trusts no one but the dead.

But she trusts the dead because she has control over them. Now that this control has become uncertain, her trust shatters like glass.

"Mistress, are you sure you want to go down this path?" Flora asks as her gaze darkens.

I deactivate my magic, and the magical connection that binds me to the dead is severed.

"TRANSFORM!" I transform into a magical girl at an extreme speed and charge at her with a large black lance. The lance has a 1.7-meter shaft and a head larger than my own, making it a giant lance with a mace-sized tip.

I aim for her heart and try to hit her, charging in a straight line. Just like me, she transforms and tries to hold the lance with two daggers, the collision pushing her back against the walls of the base.

Her weapon is the type that generates fast and precise attacks, while mine is a weapon of pure brute force and high penetration power. The blow flings her against the base’s walls.

"H-Haha, as expected of my mistress, you really tried to finish me off with that attack, huh? You even summoned your weapon," she says with a chuckle.

Normally, a magical girl doesn’t summon her weapon, as it costs a lot of magic just to conjure it, although maintaining it doesn’t consume any.

"Mistress, may I ask why you tried to kill me? I thought you didn’t like to kill," Flora says as she recovers, taking a fighting stance.

"You’re just a corpse, you’re already dead," I really don’t want to kill, but there’s one thing I’ll definitely do: eliminate any threat to my life.

I didn’t do anything to Angelica because she doesn’t seem the type to try and kill me as long as I’m "good." However, Flora has a darker and more deadly look. And her plans for mass murder make it clear what kind of person she is.

"H-How cold, I’m just a corpse? Know that I’m very much alive, more so than you could ever imagine," she soon disappears completely.

"!!!" I fly upwards, using the memories and muscle memory I have. Flying seems so natural.

"SOLDIERS, BLOW THAT BITCH UP!" The 24 dead I still have under control appear in their combat gear and start shooting randomly into the sky.

"Mistress, do you think those tin cans can defeat me? I’m disappointed that you... Kahag," she groans in pain as I land a punch, and I soon see a building collapsing, deducing that’s where she fell.

"BLOW UP THAT BUILDING!" The soldiers focus all their fire and explosions on the building where I deduce she fell.

The sound of explosions spreads as I start flying as far away as I can. My base will be exposed, my plans have gone down the drain, and the magical girls will soon arrive.

Everything started to go wrong. I accelerate while my troops follow me.

"A-Ah" I’m grabbed by the throat by Flora, who appears in front of me.

"Mistress, I’m very angry," she says, looking at me with obvious irritation, a vein appearing on her forehead.

"I could have been blown to pieces, you know?" That equipment is clearly made to be used on magical girls, and it’s obvious it would have hurt a lot.

"I loved you so much these past years, did everything you wanted, comforted you, listened to your complaints, gave you motivating words and treated your wounds. So why would you choose that damned cow who only hurt you?"

"If you want pleasure so much, maybe I should start treating her like a prostitute," she says disdainfully.

"Why did I choose her?" I can’t really say, but even if I could, I’d still choose Angelica, who at least has a bit of morality.

"Hahaha, I chose her because she’s not a corpse." The vein on Flora’s forehead stands out more, her gaze filled with hatred as she throws me against a building.

"CORPSE?! IS THAT WHAT I AM TO YOU? A MERE DEAD PUPPET? YOU’LL PAY DEARLY FOR INSULTING ME LIKE THAT, SHIZUNE!" Her facade completely vanishes.

I start flying into the sky, increasing the distance between us. I can use the powers perfectly, as if I’ve been using them for a long time, which helps.

’Will I need to use resurrection?’ I’m going to kill Flora. She’s a threat to my life, and that’s obvious. I can’t satisfy two Yanderes.

My "resurrection" is the strongest ability I have. By committing "suicide" and piercing my heart with my lance, I’m automatically reanimated in a new form.

She easily evades the lance, redirecting it to the left with her daggers. Unfortunately, my soldiers don’t accompany us.

"SHIZUNE, I’LL MAKE YOUR LIFE A NIGHTMARE FOR DOING THIS!!!" She says with hatred in her voice as she accelerates, the cold air becoming more noticeable as we climb.

I stop flying and plummet at high speed, surprising her. I kick her hard in the face with a double flying kick, pushing her down at high speed.

"!!!" She grabs my leg and spins me, throwing me down with great force. The ground soon approaches, and I fly to the left, narrowly avoiding a collision with the ground.

"Return!" I summon my lance, which soon flies back to my hand at a high speed. Flora strikes down from above, and I hold the lance’s shaft with both hands, defending the attack with the shaft.

This is more difficult than expected. I’ve never been in a fight like this before, it’s so strange.

"KYAAAA!!!" Flora disappeared from my field of vision as I scream in pain and look down. I see Flora crouching, looking up to meet my face. She has a maniacal smile as she stabs knives into my thighs.

She drove the two knives so deep into each thigh that they’re almost piercing through the bone, from one side to the other.

The pain is terrible and clouds my judgment. I try to move the lance to hit her, doing my best to ignore the pain, but she disappears again and is now behind me.

"HYAAA!!!" I scream in pain as the two knives are driven between the bones of my arm, lodging in the opening between the two bones.

"Hahaha, what cute screams, Shizune," she smiles as she whispers in my ear. I don’t know how she was so fast, but the pain doesn’t let me try to figure it out.

I fall to my knees as she pulls out the knives and steps back, laughing at me for crying.

"Come on, Shizune, show how good of a villain you are," she says mockingly. I try to stand up, even though my arms are trembling a lot from the pain.

I raise the lance, even as my arms shake. She walks up until she’s a few meters in front of me.

"Still going to fight? What persistence, Shizune. Why don’t you surrender? I promise I’ll hurt you less if you do," she says, as if she’s being very benevolent.

"HEY, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? DROP THAT LANCE!" She says, too late, as I impale my chest with the lance.

"I’ll show you how much of a villain I can be," I say, spitting blood. Soon, a black glow covers my body. My lance dissolves, becoming part of my uniform, which now resembles light black plate armor.

My new weapon is a pair of small twin scythes, and my new magic is to decompose what the blades touch.

"HAHAHAHAHA" Flora laughs when she sees that I’ve healed and become stronger. Her laughter is full of madness and a certain relief.

"I thought you were going to kill yourself. Who would have thought you had a hidden trick like that? Well then, let’s continue this beautiful dance, Shizune," she says as she prepares to charge.

Once again, my power is linked to Sayuri. My new magic is based on decomposing things, and my weapon has a name that also symbolizes death.
