My Curse? A Different Yandere in Every Reincarnation -
Chapter 115: Training Method
Chapter 115: Training Method
Yesheon starts walking, leading me up the mountain path. The other cultivators have flown back, but Yesheon seems to prefer just walking. I really wish I could be taken there quickly.
"Shizune, Yesheon seems like a really good person! She is very kind to everyone and tries her best to avoid hurting or taking other lives," Yui tells me while perched on my shoulder.
This makes me feel more at ease. If Yui says so, it’s reliable, even though I already judged Yesheon to be good without Yui saying anything, so I was already going to trust her briefly to protect me.
"Could you introduce yourself? I don’t know your name, I only know the titles and names that people call you, but I’m not sure if that’s your real name," Yesheon says without looking back.
I bet those aren’t good titles or good names since I’m generally hated by the cultivators.
"...I’m Shizune, Miss Yesheon," I say politely and respectfully. It’s better to be on the good side of this girl the calm ones are always the scariest when angry.
"...You’re quite well-mannered, Shizune, much more so than I’ve heard. I expected something completely different, I guess that’s why you shouldn’t trust rumors," Yesheon says, stopping and looking at me. The atmosphere becomes strange as she stares at me.
"Shizune, why are you with the Celestial Demon?" She asks curiously, but she’s obviously planning to achieve something with this question. For now, I’ll go along with the game.
’There’s no way I can say she just saw a girl on the street, picked her up, and then decided she loved her and kept her around...’ I think about the answer I should give Yesheon.
"I... was just saved by her, so we became sect sisters, and soon after she became my master and I her disciple in the present, since she is the leader of the sect I’m in and I’m just a slightly prestigious disciple, but without much talent."
Yesheon seems to ponder for a moment what I’ve said. I don’t know if she believes what I said or thinks I’m just trying to deceive her.
"Quite an unusual humility for someone who is the personal strategist of the demonic sect," she says in a strange tone that suggests something more. I remain attentive to what she will say next.
"...Your aura isn’t as bad as I thought it would be, given what I’ve heard about you. Could you explain that to me, Shizune? I expected something much worse, not something so ordinary."
"I’ll explain it to you. I can see people’s auras and know when they are or are not evil. You are undoubtedly not a good person, but you’re not evil either. Your aura is like that of a somewhat selfish and tarnished, but still human, ordinary person."
"For reference, the Celestial Demon has a completely tarnished aura, full of pure darkness and malice, without a hint of humanity, and most members of the demonic sect as well."
"So why are you, who have so many bad rumors, have the aura of an ordinary person? Why, surrounded by people with terrible auras, are you so ordinary? That would only make sense if, deep down, you weren’t as bad as they say."
’This is going in a bad direction.’ I don’t think it’s good for her to discover this, but I’m not sure, so I’ll just try to change the subject.
"Who knows? Could we continue on? I believe it will take at least 1 to 3 months for you to heal me, right?" Since she doesn’t have quick healing techniques, it will take a while, but it may just be a lie.
"Shizune, are you a fake strategist?" She ignores my attempt to change the subject, throwing in my face that she knows I’m not the one making the malicious and clever plans of the demonic sect.
"..." I remain silent. There’s no way to deny it when she seems to have this ability to look at the truth about me, which is really terrible for the present.
"I thought so. You are simply used while the credits for the true strategist are given to you. I deduce that the Celestial Demon herself is the one who makes those horrible strategies," Yesheon quickly blames Yeom, showing her personal grudge.
"I wonder why she passes the credits to you when she is someone so bad... Know that I only accepted trying to heal you because of your aura, but I want you to be honest. Are you willing to try to change?"
"I’m willing to give you a chance, because I think everyone who hasn’t completely abandoned their humanity deserves a second chance. I know life isn’t fair and we don’t always control our own path."
"Are you willing to deviate from this path of evil to a new path that is truly beneficial for you and all around you?"
"..." So this is the reason for this conversation. She’s trying to convert me into a good person, just like in my memories she really is a very nice person. It seems the rumors about her were true.
"I..." I was going to deny it because of Yeom, who is a dangerous Yandere, but I decide to look at it from another perspective.
’Wait... this could be a good thing...’ She has as much strength as Yeom, plus she’s a good person. I can try to learn cultivation techniques from her during the time I’ll be here.
"Would you accept me as a disciple?" I ask. It doesn’t do any good to train in the orthodox sect if it’s not with Yesheon, who is the only one who won’t have disgust or anger towards me. She’s the only one who would teach me correctly.
She seems surprised that I’m asking if she would accept me as one of her disciples. She appears to think for a moment about what to say about this.
"Miss Yesheon, I really want to be a cultivator. As you can see, my power is very low. I can’t train in the demonic sect... even if I left it or something like that, I wouldn’t be able to survive without any cultivation."
"Could you please be my master and train me? I know your sect hates me and wouldn’t want to train me, but I trust that your heart is fair and that you would train me properly."
"Of course, if you wish to follow a true path of justice, I am the one who will guide you with a smile on my face. I know it will be difficult, but as long as you don’t give up on me, I will take care of you," she says with a gentle smile. She really is a very nice person.
’There’s no way Yeom can see or know about these things...’ I put my hands in a position of respect and bow to her, who will be my master for now. I’m going to love learning to cultivate properly.
"Then I humbly accept your offer... master. But please don’t tell the Celestial Demon, or retaliation will be a guaranteed consequence, and I fear for my life and the lives of those involved." Later, when she fails to heal me, I’ll just go back to Yeom.
The reason I want to learn to cultivate is that there may be something in that knowledge that can help me. I was also undecided about what to choose to learn in this life, and learning martial arts can be very useful.
"Okay, I won’t say anything while I try to heal you. After the time of the agreement with the Celestial Demon is over, I will personally speak to her about this. Welcome," Yesheon says with a happy and cheerful smile.
’She seems like a really nice person, and that’s great.’ She will be able to teach me to fight, among other things that will help me in future worlds. I think the risk is worth it.
"First, I’ll see what you know. How do you normally cultivate, Shizune? Know that this is ingrained in you, and although you are weak, your body currently seems to have a lot of cultivation experience, and trying another technique won’t be possible."
"So I’ll help you with what your body already knows."
When she says that, everything becomes complicated, way too complicated.
"...Ah... can’t it be changed?" I ask, not wanting to have to use the same cultivation technique I use with Yeom. I don’t know any other, just that one, but it’s not something I want to try.
"No, it won’t be possible. Your body is too weak, and all the paths for your training are uniquely directed to the technique you’ve practiced for years. I don’t know why you’re so weak even after cultivating for so long."
"But currently you are too weak to switch cultivation methods, and trying something else could destroy... well..." I shudder because I know what she’s talking about. If that part is destroyed, I’ll never be able to cultivate again.
"Okay, I’ll tell you how I’ve been cultivating all this time and why I’m weak."
I make Yui go away because this will be too embarrassing for me to bear her hearing.
"Go ahead, I’m sure it’s not that bad," Yesheon says as she waits patiently.
"The reason for my low cultivation is that the Celestial Demon steals it all the time..." Yesheon is shocked, and her silvery aura appears momentarily, indicating her anger.
"That treacherous viper! How dare she steal the cultivation of a disciple and still have the audacity to call herself a master!" Yesheon is clearly very angry.
"Tell me, Shizune, how do you normally cultivate? I’ll make sure to help you recover all the time you’ve wasted with that treacherous Celestial Demon," Yesheon says, but I’m sure she’ll be embarrassed.
"...Dual cultivation..." I murmur with a bit of shame, as it’s something so intimate.
"...What do you mean?"
"Sex, we had sex every time I went to train." Yesheon’s expression of shock and embarrassment is amusing.
