My Cold-Hearted Husband Wants Me Back
Chapter 97: The Limit of Her Patience

Chapter 97: The Limit of Her Patience

Lunara blinked, water dripping from her lashes, her lips pressed into a thin line. She didn’t speak, probably didn’t see that coming. Raising her gaze, she spotted the security team outside, now rushing toward the door.

She immediately raised her hand, silently signaling them to stop.

"Woohoo, what now?" the woman sneered, turning slightly to glance at the security outside.

Lunara took a slow breath and straightened, brushing a few wet strands of hair away from her face. She looked at the woman, not with anger, but with the quiet, cold calm of someone used to being underestimated.

"You know," she said steadily, "I’ve been called worse things. But if you think you can throw water at me and walk away with just a laugh, you’ve clearly mistaken me for someone else."

Her voice didn’t rise, not even a little. It stayed soft, even, and strangely disarming.

"I tried to be kind, because I thought maybe you were just having a bad day. But now? Now I’m just making sure you remember mine."

The woman smirked, clearly pleased with the chaos she caused. She pulled out her phone with a dramatic flourish. "Let me take a video of your bad day," she sneered. "Who knows, maybe someone’s real wife will recognize her husband’s mistress."

That finally made Naomi snap. "Are you out of your damn mind?" she growled, stepping forward, but Lunara gently stopped her with one hand.

Lunara voice was calm, level, but ice-laced. "That’s enough."

The woman didn’t back down. "What? You don’t like being called out in public?"

Lunara met her eyes, sharp and steady. "No, I just don’t like giving people like you any more attention than they deserve."

With that, she turned away, casually reaching for a napkin from the table. She dabbed at her soaked cheek, still calm on the surface. "You’re lucky I’m not in the mood to yank someone’s hair today."

The woman let out a loud, mocking laugh. "Oh really? ’Cause I am."

Without warning, she lunged forward, her hand shooting out to grab Lunara’s hair.

But Lunara moved quickly.

She dodged the hand, grabbed the woman’s wrist mid-air, and in the same breath, twisted her around and yanked her hair back with a grip that left no room for questions.

The woman gasped in pain, her smug expression changing into pure shock.

Lunara leaned in close, her voice low and firm. "Now you listen. I might’ve tried to stay calm for my daughter’s sake, but don’t mistake my silence for weakness."

Naomi smirked from the side, arms folded. "Aaand there she is."

The woman screamed her lungs out, thrashing against Lunara’s grip. "How dare you?! Don’t you know who I am?!"

Lunara let go with a sharp flick of her wrist, stepping back as the woman stumbled, clutching her tangled hair.

She tilted her head slightly, her voice cold. "No. Who are you? A celebrity? An influencer?"

She casually rubbed her palms together, as if brushing off dust. "Didn’t think so."

The woman’s face flushed red, equal parts rage and humiliation. "You’ll regret this!" she snapped.

Lunara raised her eyebrows, offering a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. "I doubt it."

The woman huffed, yanking her phone from her handbag while shooting Lunara a final glare. She tapped furiously at the screen, then raised the phone to her ear.

She was quiet for a moment then snapped, her voice sharp with irritation, "Hello! I want to sue someone!"

Naomi blinked. "Here we go," she muttered under her breath.

The woman turned slightly, angling herself toward the remaining crowd, the few staff and customers who had been waiting with her earlier, still kept at a distance thanks to security. She spoke louder, clearly putting on a show.

"This is Sienna Vale," she announced, as if the name should spark applause. "Yes, the Sienna. The designer. My shoes went viral last month and everyone knows who I am. The pastel blue stilettos from that Cannes interview? That was me."

Lunara blinked slowly, unimpressed.

"I’m being harassed," Sienna continued dramatically. "Physically assaulted in public! I need legal action. Immediately."

Naomi leaned closer to Lunara and whispered, "You ever heard of her?"

Lunara tilted her head thoughtfully. "Nope. But I guess the shoes were more famous than the person who made them."

Naomi snorted.

Sienna, still clutching her phone, glanced back at them. "Enjoy your last moments of pretending to be someone," she snapped. "Some of us actually earned our place."

Naomi shook her head and leaned in to whisper in Lunara’s ear, "You should use your privilege, Ara. Calling Eryx here would be epic."

"NO...too much chaos if he knew about it." Lunara’s calm didn’t waver. She stepped forward just a little, arms still relaxed at her sides. "Then I hope, for your sake, your name lasts longer than your temper."

Sienna opened her mouth to respond, but the security finally stepped in, placing themselves between her and Lunara.

"We’re done here," Lunara said softly, brushing Mila’s curls back. "Let’s go."

Sienna sneered, raising her voice for everyone to hear. "Keep hiding behind that kid... maybe she’ll grow up thinking you were someone important, until she finds out her mother was just a glorified escort with bad taste in clothes."

That’s it.

Lunara’s steps halted instantly. That was the last straw, the very last ounce of patience slipping from her hands.

Without a word, she gently handed Mila to Naomi, her movements were calm. Then she turned, eyes locking with Sienna’s in a cold, unblinking stare.

"You can insult me all you want," Lunara said, her voice low but sharp. "But drag my daughter into your bitterness again, and I promise, you’ll find out just how low I can go."

Before Sienna could form a smug comeback, Lunara closed the distance and slapped her clean across the face.

A sharp gasp rippled through the onlookers. The sound echoed, crisp and satisfying.

Sienna reeled back, hand flying to her cheek in shock.

Lunara didn’t flinch. "You wanted attention?" she said coldly. "Congratulations. You just bought yourself the kind you won’t be able to design your way out of."
