My CEO Boss Is A Masked Internet Sensation -
Chapter 70: Caysir
Chapter 70: Caysir
(Arata)
Returning to my room, I closed the door and pushed myself against it with my hand on my rapidly beating heart.
What was wrong with me?
Why did I feel jealous when Karsten said if I had been his girlfriend, he would have kissed me senseless and made me forget the world.
The carelessness had cost me and now Karsten knew the real colour of my hair was not black but red. I trusted him not to reveal it to anyone, but my cover could be blown, and he could recognise me.
Well, I had his secret too, and I was sure he wouldn’t want his family to know, especially his mother. I could visualise her face if she was ever to find out what he wore.
A satisfied smile planted itself on my lips.
Slipping into bed I was left extremely frustrated, sexually frustrated. That kiss we had shared was etched into my very being and my mind couldn’t help but waver back to that.
How gentle his rough hands were as if I was truly precious to him.
Jerking my head, I freed myself of the useless thoughts. He is only my boss, and no matter how handsome and attractive he appeared, even in strawberry shorts, there was a line I couldn’t cross with him.
This was just acting and pretence, not real as he had constantly reminded me.
Closing my eyes, I tried to sleep, but it took me a while to get him out of my mind and fall into the valley of oblivion.
Incessant knocking on the door woke me up and I tumbled out of bed. The morning light was filtering through the small space between my drawn curtains.
Rubbing my eyes, I glanced at the clock to check what time it was.
It was around 8 am.
"Arata?" Karsten’s deep voice came through the door.
Grunting I slipped out of bed and proceeded to open the door while wrapping my shawl around my shoulders. There was no point hiding my hair now, he had already seen them.
Opening my door a fraction, I peered outside and found him standing there fully dressed in a properly ironed suit. His dark ebony hair was pushed back and we’re not falling in his eyes.
"Come, have breakfast, Olphi brought you some." He pointed to the table where several take-out boxes lay along with a travel coffee mug and a thermal one.
I blinked and then stared at him in confusion. Hardly sleeping at night was a bad idea, and I wasn’t fully awake; I would need several sweet coffee cups to fully charge myself.
"Breakfast, Arata. Freshen up, you will feel better after eating something." He clearly understood that my mind was still sleepy.
"Just give me a minute," I requested in a dull voice.
He nodded, moving away to pick up his cup of coffee which Olphi must have brought.
Closing the door, I ran to the bathroom to freshen up and get ready. Once I was suited up for the day and had my wig and glasses on, I exited my room to grab some of the breakfast.
Karsten had already finished his coffee and an empty cardboard box of his cookies lay on the table while he sat comfortably on my lounger, checking out his phone.
A few other boxes contained scones, doughnuts and croissants. There were even fresh fruits, especially strawberries.
A smile spread on my lips seeing the fresh red fruit, so inviting and I wondered if he had taken off my shorts.
Settling down I picked up a chocolate glazed doughnut and took a small sip of sugary coffee, letting my senses be awakened.
"Feeling better or still murderous like a strawberry from some haunted book?" He teased, keeping his eyes focused on the screen of his phone as he casually typed on it. His thumbs moved effortlessly on the touch screen. The side of his lips twitched up.
He was comparing me to a strawberry, teasing me due to my real hair colour and probably due to the argument we had.
"Yeah, much better now that I have sugary stuff." I took another delightful bite out of the soft doughnut, the chocolate wetting my lips. Flipping my tongue out, I licked them clean.
My eyes flicked towards Karsten and he was calmly watching me with his dark but intrigued eyes. The events of the last night flashed in my brain and I knew Karsten had been relatively patient with me last night, or he wouldn’t have endured everything I had said to him from anyone else.
Maybe he gave me space knowing how disturbed I was.
"Good, we will head out once you are done." He paused and shifted uncomfortably before furthering. "I have sent that note for analysis, once we learn anything, I will let you know."
Grabbing a tissue, I wiped my lips of any lingering crumbs. Standing up, I began to clear the table. I didn’t want to think about that note anymore and wanted to put it at the back of my mind for now.
"I understand, thank you."
Once I had put away everything, I grabbed my bag and was ready to head out with him.
Karsten stood up and straightened his charcoal-shaded shirt.
"Let’s go." We left my apartment together, Olphi was waiting for us downstairs with Karsten’s car.
He opened the door for me and I knew it was futile to even say I would take my own car.
The ride was silent with Karsten busy on his phone while I checked his schedule.
We arrived in the parking lot and headed up in the elevator. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath so the ride would end as quickly as was possible.
"You don’t like elevators," Karsten commented and my eyes opened and found him. He was calmly watching me.
"No, I hate them."
Thankfully, the elevator dinged, and the glass door opened. Before I could head towards my office, Karsten said.
"Follow me to my office."
Reaching the office, Karsten walked inside and a man was already waiting for us inside. Seeing us, he stood up and held a soft smile.
Karsten casually made the introduction.
"Arata, meet Caysir He will be responsible for taking you home and bringing you to the office until we resolve the issue. Anywhere you need to go, just call him."
I glanced at the man, Caysir and he didn’t appear anything like Olphi or Karsten. He was very lean and his height was almost the same as mine. His light brown hair was held back by a small hair bun while his intense sea-green eyes shone with extreme excitement.
"Hello!" He gave me a small wave of his hand and a big bright smile that made the side of his eyes crinkle.
"Hi!" I automatically returned his smile, it was difficult not to. There was an ease he held.
"Miss Arata, can I have thee car keys? I will go with Olphi and bring thee car," he respectfully said and I peeked a glance at Karsten. He nodded from his seat, and I handed Caysir my car keys, and thus began my days of having a chauffeur again.
