My Blacksmith System: Transforming my Weapons into Beautiful Maidens -
Chapter 50: I’d like to talk
Chapter 50: I’d like to talk
[Name: Daki, Balsamic Armour.
Current rank: Gold Soul, Queen position.
Rank after upgrade: Platinum.
Cost: 8 soul stones.]
[Would you like to proceed?]
Rashin replied, "Yes."
[8 soul stones have been deducted.]
[Daki has undergone her evolution.]
So the system says,
But when Rashin looked at Daki, he could not see any noticeable change. In fact, she was the same old Daki, carrying the same calm expression as always.
"Daki? Do you feel anything?" he asked.
Daki tilted her head to the side. "Am I supposed to?"
He wasn’t sure about that response, but before he could clarify—
[Daki has been upgraded to Platinum.]
[Daki now has full control over her personality.]
[Daki can now use White Cell Aura in combat. (Note: It is not as effective as yours; it is limited to maidens.)]
[Daki can now create a world within you as the Queen.]
Rashin looked at Daki once again. Her body was now swarming with magic energy.
At that moment, he realized Daki was now stronger than before. Her entire aura felt different, like she was someone else entirely.
"Amazing! Daki, did you see that? Your magic energy increased in folds! Ahhh, I’m so jealous!" Satella leaned closer to her.
Daki, still keeping her calm facade, closed her eyes. "I’d appreciate it if you’d move away from me. Only the master has the right to get that close."
Satella sighed. "So rude..."
"Relax, you’ll have your evolution now too," Rashin said as he swiped the screen, bringing out Satella’s profile.
[Name: Satella, Flame Sword.
Rank: Gold Soul Rank, Rook position.
Rank after upgrade: Platinum Soul Rank.
Cost: 7 soul stones.]
[Would you like to proceed?]
If it meant his maidens having a fighting chance against Hakias, Rashin could climb as many levels as needed just to make them stronger.
"Yes," he replied.
[7 soul stones have been deducted.]
[Satella has undergone her evolution.]
Using Daki’s upgrade as a lead, Rashin was patient to see if the same thing would happen to Satella, since she also didn’t show any noticeable change at first.
From the upgrade, Daki was now able to use White Cell Aura, a very latent power for beings like the Hakias.
Having two people who could use the same ability would completely change the tides of battle, even if only for a little while.
Soon after, just like Daki, Satella’s body began to glow, flames dancing around her.
[Satella has been upgraded to Platinum Soul Rank.]
[Satella now has full control over her personality.]
[Satella can now use White Cell Aura.]
[Satella now has authority over your weapons as the Rook.]
"Ouuuuuu! I have the same thing! Ahaha! Can you see this, Master?! Look how strong I’ve gotten!!!" Satella exclaimed excitedly as she roamed around.
Daki sighed. "Can you compose yourself for a brief moment? You’re not an animal."
"Uhnnnn?! You’re totally calling me an animal!" Satella stopped and pointed.
"If the shoe fits."
"Why are you talking about shoes all of a sudden?" Satella took a moment to look at her legs. "Are you talking about mine?"
"You really are an idiot," Daki shook her head.
Meanwhile, Rashin was still seated, his eyes focused on the screen.
After he had successfully upgraded both his maidens, the system decided to give him something.
[Loot Box. (Open in 23:34:09)]
It was the first time he had seen the system give him a loot box with a timer.
’Perhaps it’s something that needs to be opened tomorrow. Anyway, I should leave this place. I’m sure Eri is already looking for me.’
Rashin stood up and slowly began to walk away.
Daki and Satella, who were arguing at the back, wasted no time and followed him.
As the gate opened in his room, Rashin stepped out with his maidens.
And just like the last time, there she was—Eri, lying on the bed with her butt stuck out.
Except this time, she wasn’t sleeping. She seemed to be moving around excitedly while sniffing the bed sheets.
"Ahh~ it smells just like him, ohhh~~~, that’s the spot~~ right there~~"
She kept muttering to herself.
Satella immediately had a disgusted look on her face, while Daki was simply disappointed.
Rashin, on the other hand, was rather surprised. He could not fully tell what she was doing, but the fact that he could almost see her panties while she was on his bed was a bit weird to him.
"Eri?" he called out.
She dared not turn around.
Eri began to sweat, almost as if she were having a terrible nightmare.
"R...a...shin..." she called back, just to be sure, as she gently lowered her butt.
"Yes?"
"Ek!"
Slowly, Eri turned around to face him, her entire face red as she shook like a kid battling a cold.
"I... it’s n-not what you think?! I... I... I just c-came to call... you about the discussion you wanted to have with Seriphina. I wasn’t sniffing your blanket because it smelled like you or anything, I swear!!!" she panicked, waving her hand back and forth.
"Oh right, I totally forgot. I’ll go check up on her now. Although I don’t understand the sniffing part, I doubt anyone would do that, so you don’t need to worry."
’Eh? He bought it?’ Eri whispered in her mind with shock as she watched Rashin exit the room.
Daki was about to follow when she suddenly stopped in front of Eri and whispered,
"My master is quite gullible when it comes to matters like this. So I’ll speak for him—don’t be disgusting, go get a life," Daki said with the warmest smile before she too walked away.
Eri remained on the bed, tears hanging at the sides of her eyes.
"Yeah, get a life," Satella also said as she walked past.
"Ah... kill me..." Eri collapsed.
...
In the main room, Seriphina was seated on the chair with her maid right beside her.
Due to the recent loss of their first village, Seriphina was hoping she could get some funds from the Count to rebuild the entire place.
Getting to the Count wasn’t easy, but with the right connections, Seriphina was certain she could get it done.
Handing the papers to Fina, she uttered, "Give this to the Viscount. She should know what to do after reading these papers."
"All of it?" Fina took the papers.
"Ahm? You think it’s too small?"
Fina couldn’t help but chuckle a bit. "My lady, am I correct in assuming this contains only a message for the Viscount?"
"Of course not. I added budgets, landscape, population, and so much other information he would need to convince the Count. Why are you looking at me like I did some kind of cute mistake?!"
Fina settled her laughter. "It’s your first time sending a formal letter, so it wouldn’t be wise to expect much from you in that regard."
"Uhnnnnnn?! What do you mean by that?"
"Shall I help you compress the information so the Viscount doesn’t die before reading all of it?" Fina asked with a smile.
Feeling a tad bit embarrassed, Seriphina looked to the side. "Y-yeah, sure."
"Very well then. Please have some rest. You are still recovering."
Fina began to head towards the exit.
"That’s right. The traveler was supposed to be here in a bit. Have you seen him today?"
"No, I haven’t. If I do, I shall let him know you asked for him." Fina gripped the door handle.
"W-what?! Don’t do something so stupid, Fina!"
Fina opened the door, and standing there in front of her was Rashin, with Eri tailing behind.
Being so close to him, Fina could clearly see his eyes. They were bright and beautiful—more than enough to charm her.
Her heart skipped a couple of beats, her body almost acting on its own as if to kiss him on the lips.
Fina caught herself and shook her head. Her mistress was there. It was not only disrespectful but almost rude.
"Mistress, you have a visitor," Fina announced.
Years of experience made it easy for her to calm herself even in difficult situations.
Moving her body to the side, she allowed Rashin to walk into the room.
Upon spotting him, Seriphina instantly straightened up, using her hand to fix her hair.
"Rashin... You came..." she said.
"Sorry I’m late. I was busy with something and kinda lost track of time," Rashin replied as he sat down on the chair.
Right after, Fina left the room and closed the door.
Although Eri didn’t want to be in the room with them, as she planned on using her blessing to check how much time they had left before the countdown, she still couldn’t leave Rashin all alone in the room with Seriphina of all people.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" Seriphina asked, her eyes completely glued to Rashin.
"It wasn’t you specifically I wanted to ask."
"Sorry?"
"The Hakia, Yuki. I was hoping I could talk to her for a while."
’Ahhhhh, I got excited for nothing!!!’ Seriphina screamed in her mind.
