Chapter 2107

Chapter 2107: Chapter 21107: Alchemist Association Chapter 2107: Chapter 21107: Alchemist Association “Come take a walk with me,” Ethan Smith said.

“Sure,” Salena Carpenter nodded and accompanied Ethan Smith out of the inn.

This city, called Quiet Wind City, though its name suggested tranquility, was in fact bustling with life and activity, vibrant and lively.

At the center of the city was a large trading market, the most prosperous area here. Every day, countless merchants and adventurers engaged in the exchange of rare treasures and resources in this marketplace.

Ethan Smith and Salena Carpenter walked toward the trading market, weaving between the many stalls, searching for anything of value.

Suddenly, Ethan's gaze locked onto one of the stalls. He walked over and stared at a peculiar stone on display.

The stone was roughly the size of a fist, pale yellow in color, with strange, unique patterns on its surface.

“This is…” A flicker of surprise flashed through Ethan's eyes.

“This is a Soul Stone,” the vendor immediately explained as he noticed Ethan's interest, his eyes gleaming with enthusiasm. “This Soul Stone is extremely precious, capable of aiding in the restoration of one's primordial spirit. For cultivators like you, it's an excellent auxiliary tool.”

*Ethan's heart stirred; he happened to need such an item to aid in restoring his primordial spirit.*

“How much?” Ethan asked.

The vendor chuckled, a sly grin appearing on his face. “My young hero, this Soul Stone is a rarity. I'm asking for one hundred and sixty thousand dollars.”

Ethan frowned slightly; the price was clearly inflated. Just as he was about to haggle, Salena Carpenter had already impatiently taken out a magic coin and tossed it to the vendor.

“Here,” Salena said.

Ethan smiled wryly, knowing that Salena was worried about his well-being and had rushed to buy the stone for him without hesitation.

After paying, Ethan and Salena prepared to leave. However, at that moment, a voice suddenly interrupted them.

“Wait a minute, this price doesn't seem right.”

The voice belonged to a middle-aged man. He looked at the Soul Stone in Ethan's hand, a hint of something unusual flashing through his eyes.

“Brother, did you notice something?” Ethan turned to the man, his tone filled with curiosity.

The middle-aged man walked closer, carefully examining the Soul Stone in Ethan's hand before speaking slowly. “This Soul Stone is worth far more than one hundred and sixty thousand dollars.”

Ethan and Salena were both shocked to hear this. They hadn't expected the Soul Stone to be worth more than they initially thought.

“How do you know that?” Ethan asked.

The man smiled and pulled out an appraisal tool from his pocket. It was a special instrument capable of identifying rare treasures.

He placed the tool on the Soul Stone, carefully observing it for a moment before saying, “This is not just an ordinary Soul Stone; it is a Soul Source Stone containing incredibly potent spiritual power. Such a treasure could easily fetch at least five hundred thousand dollars on the market.”

Ethan and Salena were floored by the revelation. They couldn't believe they had purchased such a valuable treasure at a bargain price.

The vendor was equally stunned, clearly never imagining that the stone he thought only worth one hundred and sixty thousand dollars was, in fact, a Soul Source Stone valued at half a million.

Noticing the vendor's shocked expression, the middle-aged man chuckled and said to Ethan and Salena, “Congratulations, you've stumbled upon a real bargain here.”

Ethan frowned slightly as he studied the mysterious middle-aged man. In a low voice, he asked, “May I have the honor of knowing your name?”

The man responded calmly, “My name is Sami Massy, and I come from the Artifact Refining Guild.”

“As I suspected,” Ethan thought to himself.

The Artifact Refining Guild was a name Ethan had heard of before. It was a renowned organization on par with the Alchemist Association. However, gaining entry into the Artifact Refining Guild was extremely difficult. Ordinary people could only go as far as Divine Fortuity City; they didn't even have the qualifications to search for treasures at the guild.

“You must be Ethan Smith, the one who's been stirring up waves recently,” Sami Massy suddenly said.

Ethan's frown deepened, *his unease growing.*

“You're Ethan Smith? You're THE Ethan Smith?” The vendor, upon hearing this, became incredibly excited.

He rushed to Ethan's side, exclaiming enthusiastically, “Mr. Smith, you singlehandedly defeated the Saint of the Green family and walked away unscathed! You're truly a role model for all of us! I never thought I would meet the legendary Ethan Smith today!”

Ethan felt slightly embarrassed; he hadn't realized his reputation had grown to such heights.

As the vendor continued to chatter enthusiastically, Ethan couldn't help but cast a wary glance at Sami Massy.

“Mr. Smith, there's no need to worry. The affairs of the Monohorse Hall have nothing to do with someone like me,” Sami said with a faint smile, seemingly reading Ethan's thoughts.

Ethan stated solemnly, “Then may I ask what your purpose is in seeking me out, Senior?”

Placing his hands behind his back, Sami smiled. “I'm here to take you to meet someone.”

“Meet someone?”

Hearing this, both Ethan and Salena immediately tensed.

Salena even stepped forward, shielding Ethan protectively behind her.

“Mr. Smith, there's no need to worry. This person is someone you know–from the Alchemist Association,” Sami continued.

Ethan was taken aback.

The Alchemist Association? Could it be the Pavilion Master?

Ethan's excitement surged. The Lord of the Divine Alchemist Pavilion was his benefactor. However, Ethan had never had the opportunity to meet him since ordinary cultivators weren't qualified to step into the association.

But now, this middle-aged man claimed to be taking him to the Alchemist Association. How could he not be excited?

“Why should we trust you?!” Salena's sharp words brought Ethan back to his senses.

Ethan regained his composure and frowned at Sami. “She's right. Why should I trust you?”

“Hahaha!” Sami burst into hearty laughter. “Don't worry. The person is waiting nearby. We won't be going far. Of course, if you're unwilling, you're free to refuse.”

After saying this, Sami turned and began walking away.

Ethan hesitated for a moment before biting his lip and quickly following him.

“Ethan, I've got a bad feeling about that guy,” Salena whispered as she kept close by his side.

“No matter. Even if there's a trap, I can escape,” Ethan responded firmly.

“Besides, only a handful of people in the entire Holy Region are aware of my connection to the Alchemist Association. If they're setting a trap, they wouldn't need to use the association to lure me.”

With that, Ethan and Salena followed Sami Massy.

They walked for what felt like a long time before arriving at a tranquil private courtyard. Though small, its layout was intricately designed, exuding a serene atmosphere at every corner.

Sami led them deeper into the courtyard.
