Mrs. and Mr. Smith -
Chapter 1801
Chapter 1801: Chapter 1801: Gilded Rake Chapter 1801: Chapter 1801: Gilded Rake Upon seeing the automatically breaking stone skin, the people around widened their eyes in shock.
“There's a treasure? Holy shit, there really is a treasure?” someone around exclaimed.
If a treasure is revealed from such a massive stone, it's probably not going to be a simple one!
Salena Carpenter proudly said, “What do you think? That's what I call good luck!”
Ethan Smith also furrowed his brow.
When he used the desolate divine eye to peek just now, he didn't see anything at all.
“Strange,” Ethan Smith frowned.
His eyes also stared closely at the stone.
The stone skin fell off layer by layer. In the end, it shattered with a loud “bang!”
They saw an enormous divine weapon hidden inside. The weapon was pitch-black, making it difficult to see anything clearly, and no energy was circulating around it.
Ethan Smith whispered, “Could it be that the desolate divine eye can't see through it because it has no lustre?”
People around them could not help but discuss, “What is this thing? An iron stick?”
“An iron stick, my ass! It's obviously a plow!”
“Fuck you! That's a fork, a steel fork!”
Salena ignored their nonsense and ran over, grabbing it in her hand.
This divine weapon was enormous and looked like a colossal object in Salena's hand, even bigger than her body!
When she held it, the black surface started to fall off again!
For a moment, the “crackling” sound was incessant, shedding like rust.
Salena's palm shook violently, and the black substance wrapped around the divine weapon shattered instantly. Golden radiance burst forth, finally revealing its true appearance!
Upon seeing the true appearance of the divine weapon, the people around were astonished!
Ethan Smith couldn't help but scratch his head.
This thing turned out to be a rake! It looked exactly like Pigsy's (Zhu Bajie) rake from Journey to the West, only this rake was golden.
“It's a Glided Rake!” someone said.
“A Glided Rake? Is it called a Glided Rake?”
“No, I just thought it looked golden and made up the name.”
“Fuck you.”
“Glided Rake it is! I love the name!” Salena excitedly said.
It seemed that she liked this name a lot, swinging the huge Glided Rake, creating a gust of wind in her hand.
However, Salena's figure seemed highly mismatched for this gigantic Glided Rake.
A little girl holding a burly man's weapon was a ludicrous sight.
“Little girl, this Glided Rake doesn't suit you. With your small body, how can you use such a big rake? Why don't you name a price and sell it to me?” A burly man quickly walked over and said.
“Fuck off! You're small, your whole family is small! I love this Glided Rake, and I'm not selling it!” Salena cursed and muttered.
With a thought, she put the Glided Rake into her Spatial Magic Artifact.
“I really like this thing, and I won't sell it to anyone. Don't bother trying to persuade me.” Salena glared and said.
People around couldn't help but laugh, seemingly finding Salena quite adorable.
With Salena's discovery of the treasure, everyone started to make their moves.
Like her, they approached, occasionally patting the stones and choosing the largest ones.
“Let's go, hurry up. I've tried, and there's nothing good left inside.” Salena pulled Ethan Smith and whispered.
After leaving the stone shop, Ethan Smith said in astonishment, “You didn't just rely on luck?”
“Luck, my ass! Who has such good luck? If I hadn't mentioned luck, these people would've pestered me.” Salena rolled her eyes.
Ethan Smith frowned, “What kind of technique is this, then? How did you know there was a treasure inside?”
Salena smiled and said, “Experience. Just experience. Based on my eating experience, I can tell whether or not something's good.”
Ethan Smith was even more puzzled, and said with a bitter smile, “Do you mean you hide your food in stones?”
“You don't get it. Many fierce beasts were sealed in these stones. Their meat is truly firm and juicy. I'll let you try it later.” Salena said with an innocent expression.
Ethan was left speechless.
He never thought that cutting stones could be done in such an absurd way.
After returning to their residence, Salena took out the Glided Rake.
She continuously stroked the Glided Rake, as if she couldn't bear to put it down.
“I've never had a suitable weapon, and this Glided Rake seems perfect for me!” Salena said excitedly.
Ethan Smith stared at the Glided Rake and whispered, “If this thing really came from the Forbidden Zone, its power might be immeasurable.”
After all, it is a place where even True Saints fall, and nobody knows how many treasures are hidden inside.
“Who cares? Anyway, I love this thing.” Salena grabbed the Glided Rake and swung it generously.
For a moment, formidable power burst forth, and a purple radiance circulated above the Glided Rake, sweeping away everything around. In the distance, a high mountain peak was smashed to pieces!
That mountain peak was very far away from the two, but under the force of this rake, it turned into ruins, exhibiting terrifying power that astonished people!
Ethan Smith stared blankly at the scene, not knowing whether to praise Salena or the Glided Rake in her hand.
“This is amazing! I love the Glided Rake!” Salena hugged the Glided Rake, rubbing her face against it with excitement.
Ethan Smith scratched his head and muttered, “Is she the reincarnation of Pigsy…?”
“Pigsy? What Pigsy?” Salena asked, confused.
“Never mind.” Ethan Smith shook his head. “When we return to Thunder Courtyard, we might have a chance to ask the dean about the history of this thing.”
“Alright then.” Salena agreed.
The next day.
Ethan Smith and Salena came back to the teahouse, waiting for Evan Williams.
By midday, Evan Williams finally appeared at the entrance.
Ethan Smith walked over quickly and respectfully said, “Mr. Williams.”
Evan Williams returned the gesture, “Mr. Smith, sorry to keep you waiting.”
Ethan Smith shook his head repeatedly, “Just arrived. So, did you gather the people?”
Evan Williams said solemnly, “It hasn't been going smoothly. Some people refused to go to the Forbidden Zone, as they seem to be filled with fear.”
Ethan Smith's face changed slightly, and he hurriedly asked, “What about Lennon Hansen? Is he going?”
“He agreed, though.” Evan Williams said.
Upon hearing this, Ethan Smith finally breathed a sigh of relief.
“That's good, that's good.” Ethan Smith unconsciously said.
Evan Williams raised an eyebrow, “Mr. Smith, you seem to care quite a lot about Lennon Hansen. Do you know him?”
Ethan Smith's face changed slightly, and he suddenly realized his emotional outburst.
