Mrs. and Mr. Smith -
Chapter 1594
Chapter 1594: Chapter 1594: Drexel Regaining His Strength Chapter 1594: Chapter 1594: Drexel Regaining His Strength Ethan Smith and Kendrick Burke couldn't help but approach the Bronze Coffin.
Within the coffin, the corpse lay motionless, utterly devoid of any semblance of life.
“Hahaha! Ethan Smith, leave this body to me!” Obadiah Heptinstall roared with ecstasy.
Kendrick Burke nonchalantly chimed in: “What do you think, this divine body will ultimately belong to me.”
Ethan Smith frowned, filled with confusion.
With Drexel's capabilities, he shouldn't have failed. Could there be something wrong with this body?
Just as the crowd was reveling in their excitement, the eyes of the corpse within the coffin snapped open!
Two intense beams of light shot out, piercing through the ceiling of the Mansion!
The sudden turn of events shocked everyone; they all hastily backed away!
Quickly, Drexel sat upright in the coffin.
A wicked grin graced his face, and his aura was terrifyingly powerful!
Looking down at his body, Drexel murmured, “Finally…I've finally recovered, I'm finally free, hahahaha!”
His maniacal laughter reverberated throughout the room, causing bits of debris to fall ceaselessly!
Ethan Smith was elated. He quickly approached Drexel and asked, “How do you feel?”
“Great, even better than before!” Drexel grinned, showing off his pearly white teeth.
His originally handsome face now seemed sinister under Drexel's devilish smile.
Ethan Smith finally breathed a sigh of relief. With Drexel's assistance, he no longer needed to beg Kendrick Burke for help.
So, Ethan Smith turned towards Kendrick Burke, stating, “I no longer need your assistance. Return the stuff I gave you.”
However, Kendrick Burke wouldn't let things end so easily. He sneered, “Return it to you? Are you dreaming? Once something falls into my hands, do you really think I would give it back?”
Ethan Smith's eyes narrowed, icyly querying, “Are you really not going to return it to me?”
“Absolutely not!” Determined, Kendrick Burke made the worst decision of his life.
The next instant, before Ethan Smith could utter a word, two of Drexel's fingers abruptly darted forward. With a 'pop', they plunged straight into Kendrick Burke's skull!
Kendrick Burke's eyes widened in disbelief at the scene unfolding before him.
Before he could regain his senses, Drexel had already withdrawn his fingers!
Drexel's two fingers held Kendrick Burke's primordial spirit. Then, opening his mouth, he swallowed it whole!
Kendrick Burke's body fell lifelessly, devoid of a hint of vitality.
“Been wanting to kill you for a while now, constantly yapping in front of me…” Satisfied, Drexel licked his lips.
“This body… it's even more comfortable than I imagined. Truly worthy of a divine body, effortlessly piercing through his flesh…” Drexel spoke, his face filled with malevolence.
Ethan Smith hadn't expected Drexel to suddenly kill Kendrick Burke. He couldn't help but furrow his brows.
According to Drexel himself, he used to be an assassin or a murderous lunatic.
Now that he has regained his body, Ethan Smith was somewhat concerned.
What if this Drexel reverts back to his old ways?
The claims of leaving a mark in his body were merely to scare Drexel. With Drexel's abilities and experiences, he was bound to figure it out eventually.
“Phew.” Ethan Smith breathed a sigh of relief. Now that the body was Drexel's, there was no point overthinking it.
He turned towards the dumbfounded steward, asking tersely, “Where are Kendrick Burke's treasures?”
The steward swallowed nervously, stuttering, “Responding…responding to Mr. Smith, some are in his Spatial Magic Artifact, while some are in the warehouse…”
Ethan Smith looked at Kendrick Burke and spotted a bracelet on his wrist.
This must be his Spatial Magic Artifact. Ethan Smith removed it, then attempted to release a trace of divine sense into it, wanting to extract the treasures stored within.
But unfortunately, Ethan Smith's divine sense couldn't probe into it.
Clearly, this Spatial Magic Artifact had already bound itself to Kendrick Burke.
“Damn it, I can't open the Spatial Magic Artifact.” Ethan Smith looked at Drexel.
Drexel turned his head away, appearing as if this matter had nothing to do with him.
“Seems like I can only keep this Spatial Magic Artifact for the time being.” Ethan Smith thought to himself.
Undeniably, Kendrick Burke's best treasures would definitely be stored within this Spatial Magic Artifact.
Then, Ethan Smith turned towards the steward and commanded, “Take me to the warehouse.”
“Yes, yes.”
Where would the steward dare to say more? He quickly led Ethan Smith and Drexel towards the warehouse.
All along the way, Drexel was familiarizing himself with his newly recovered body. To this body, he was immensely satisfied.
A divine body coupled with his powerful primordial spirit made Drexel incredibly confident.
Ethan Smith kept silent. He couldn't discern Drexel's thoughts at this moment and couldn't guarantee if Drexel would betray him.
The three of them arrived at Kendrick Burke's warehouse.
The instant the warehouse door opened, a bizarre fragrance wafted out.
The warehouse walls were lined with cabinets. These cabinets, made from special materials, could retain the natural essence of the treasures to the greatest extent.
At a glance, the entire warehouse was full of myriad treasures!
“This little bastard sure has quite a few treasures.” Drexel licked his lips, a hint of greed evident in his eyes.
Ethan Smith and Drexel opened the cabinets. Inside, they found not only herbs but also precious materials and fragments of magical artifacts, even top-tier cultivation skills and sacred articles for cultivation.
“Damn, this Kendrick Burke truly was a living treasure vault.” Ethan Smith couldn't help but exclaim.
He didn't hesitate at all and began stuffing these treasures into his own Spatial Magic Artifact.
Luckily, Ethan Smith's Spatial Magic Artifact was unique and had an extreme carrying capacity. Even though the warehouse was filled with countless treasures, he was able to easily store everything inside.
“If there are this many treasures even in the warehouse, there must be even more treasures in Kendrick Burke's Spatial Magic Artifact.” Ethan Smith thought to himself.
Just then, Drexel suddenly swung his palm out, instantly smashing the steward into a bloody pulp.
“This is the feeling, exactly what I wanted!” Drexel's eyes flared with greed.
Ethan Smith's brows knitted together. He looked at Drexel, demanding in a cold tone, “What are you doing?”
“Killing, why?” Drexel smirked.
“There was no need to kill him.” Ethan Smith replied sternly.
Drexel burst into laughter, “Since when did killing need a reason? I want to kill, is that not allowed?”
After speaking, Drexel swung his arm and smirkingly said, “Ethan Smith, do you remember what I am? I've told you before, killing is my hobby. I kill who I want, when I want.”
Ethan Smith's face was stone cold, and his eyes were filled with caution as he looked at Drexel.
As for Drexel, his gaze towards Ethan Smith was also rather peculiar. A cold smile played on his lips, and his body exuded an intense chill.
As their eyes locked, the atmosphere became bone-chillingly cold.
