Chapter 94: MY GREAT GRANDPA IS NOT WELL

When Dove’s car pulled in the premises of the mansion, Gavi was the first one to jump out of the car. And he had a beautiful bouquet of different colours of daisies in his hand.

While Dante was driving, he found a flower stall, where they were selling beautiful bouquets, and when he saw the daisies, he took a one for Senior Sterling. After all, the old man was a big admirier of flowers.

And because of that the Sterling Mansion’s garden had a beautiful flower bed. And daisies were one of Senior Sterling’s most favourite flowers.

And then Dante had handed the flowers to Gavi and asked him to give those flowers to his great grandfather, which Gavi very overjoyedly agreed to.

Dove and Dante tol alighted the car, and Gavi looked at them excitedly and said, "I am going to Great Grandpa!"

And Gavi sprinted away from their even before Dove could nod properly.

Looking at his excited figure running into the house, Dove chuckled and she said, "He is excited to give those flowers to Grandpa."

Dove then turned her heads towards Dante, who was already staring at her. She blinked her eyes, and Dante said, "Miss Dove, I have something to talk to you about."

"Huh?" Dove nodded her head and said, "Yes, Mr Lancaster? What is it about?"

And a small frown settled on Dante’s face, which casued Dove a little tension too. And she asked, "Is there something wrong, Mr Lancaster?"

To which Dante nodded and said, "If said in that way, then their is indeed something wrong, Miss Dove."

"Gavi told me something about Grandpa Sterling." He then said. And when Dove heard him mention Gavi and Senior Sterling, Dove’s heart skipped a beat in the sudden surge of anxiety and she said at once, "What is it about?"

*** Flashback to the restaurant***

"What is going on in your mind, Gavi? You must trust us elders and tell us." Dante coaxed little Gavi.

Gavriel who had lowered his head, raised his head to look at Dante, only for Dante to find that the little boy had teary eyes.

And looking at that Dante felt a sudden surge of panic and he asked, "What’s wrong child?"

"U- uncle Dante," His voice was small, about to cry. It was so heart clenching that Dante himself felt bad, "my great grandpa is not well at all."

And though, Dante knew that Senior Sterling’s health was not doing well, he was curious to know what made the little boy come to tears. And on asking, Gavi recounted.

When he and Senior Sterling were at the room, Senior Sterling suddenly started coughing a lot. And naturally Gavi was very worried, and he walked up to his great grandpa.

"Great grandpa, do you need something?" He asked in a small voice, when he saw him coughing so much while covering his mouth.

And Senior Sterling’s wasn’t even in a position to answer properly. So with worry swirling in his eyes, he was about to go and call for his mother or Uncle Dante.

"Wait, grandpa, I will call momma."

And just when he wa about to reach the door l, Senior Sterling called for him in a weary voice m, "G- Gavi!"

Gavriel turned back towards Senior Sterling before rushing to him and waited for him to speak.

"Yes, grandpa? Do you need something?"

Senior Sterling coughed a little and then said, "Please pour a glass of water for me, bring it to me. I forgot to have my medicine, i will just have it and it will be alright. Let’s not disturb your momma, alright? Today is her first day at work here, and she already has to deal with a lot, isn’t it?"

Gavi looked at his great grandpa with great concern, before he asked, "You are going to be okay, after having medicine?"

And Senior Sterling nodded his head again and said, "Yes, dear. Perfectly fine."

And then the little boy also nodded his head rapidly and said, "Alright! Let me bring you water."

And he rushed to the water purifier, that was on the other side of the room, with a glass in his hand.

And while he was pouring water, Senior Sterling started coughing very much again, and Gavi sadly looked back at him. And when he did, his eyes widened in horror.

Because, he with no mistake saw that some blood came out of his great grandpa’s mouth and nose. Which the old man tried to clean fast with his shaky hands.

And Gavriel the other second turned his head back, as if he saw nothing. His heart was racing so fast! He just saw blood come out of his great grandpa’s mouth! It was so scary. He was so sick!

His eyes filled with tears, but he blinked them back.

And then he took the glass of water to the old man and said, "Grandpa, here’s your water."

Till then, Senior Sterling had already cleaned is face and had hidden away the handkerchief.

Gavi looked at the old man and he asked in a sma innocent voice, "Grandpa, are you very sick?"

Senior Sterling who just gulped down a tablet looked at h

The little boy before smiling mildly and shook his head, "No, Gavi dear. I am perfectly fine. It is just that I am getting old, so I am having a lot of coughs. You do not need to worry, alright dear?"

And Gavi nodded his head. And he did not say anything, as Senior Sterling also did not say it. And he had mentally thought to telling about it to his momma.

But then he again remembered his great grandpa’s words. His momma was very busy today, as it was her first day at work. He had seen her work so much and make prepration for the last few days.

So if he told her today, then will she be more upset and she will get more tired? Gavi knew he must say his momma but at the same time he was worried.
