Chapter 79: IT WILL ALL BE FINE. DON’T WORRY

Last evening, as the company employees received an emergency news that the new CEO will be taking over the company, there was a chaos in the company groups and forums! Everyone was talking about it.

Though it was no surprise that Dove would be taking over the position, as it had been long decided and almost everyone knew about it.

But she would be taking over, and all of this would be happening at such short interval of time, no one did expect that.

But only a couple of hours from then, a rumour from some unknown source spread wildly and rendering everyone shocked. It was a scandal involving the to be new CEO Miss Dove.

It said that, Miss Dove was a very low value woman, with a son whom she had at an age of 18.

Everyone was shocked seeing that, and different people had different opinion and reaction to it. Some of them said that it was outright bullshit. After all, those working in the company for more than four years, some of them, they knew Dove. And she wasn’t that type of a woman.

Then some of the others believed the rumour. While most of them decided to the keep their silence about the rumour not letting anyone know what their thoughts about it was. After all, if something went wrong then they might even have the risk of losing their jobs and then couldn’t take that risk.

But now, looking at her and hearing her accept and introduce her son by her own mouth, they did not know how to react. And as far as she could remember, then she was not yet married, and she already had a son?

And she was so open about having a son?

Some of them even felt a lot worried about Dove now, after all, there were press and media people inside. And if they had too somehow got an idea about the rumour then it would be difficult for Dove.

But then there were also some people who were actually curious to know what would happen then.

Anyhow, they then proceeded to go in with different things going on in different people’s mind. It was then that a man older than Dove but younger than Senior Sterling, he looked over at the charismatic man who walked behind Dove and Gavriel and he could help but ask aloud, "And who is this young man, Senior Sterling? He is also someone we have never seen before as far as I remember."

The group slowed down their pace once again, and all the eyes suddenly turned towards Dante, making him blink, and Senior Sterling nodded before he said, "Yes, he is Dove’s personal bodyguard."

"...?!" They all went speechless for a moment.

Well, they weren’t shocked at the fact that Dove had a bodyguard, as it was normal at their position and status. But what made them even more shocked that, they did not for once, nobody associated him to be a bodyguard.

Yet, that face and the aura he was excluding, noone guessed him to be a bodyguard, even though he was standing behind them.

If only, they had guessed them that he must be some new executive or some shareholder of the company or some other important man.

But well, they did not expect that.

When they reached the huge hall of the Sterling Corporations, where all the important employees and executives of the company were present along with the Press and the media houses to get the recent business news, they all started to get inside one by one.

Meanwhile, Dove stayed behind and then squatted down in front of her son. She rubbed his face and ruffled his hairs, "Gavi, will you listen to something Momma say?"

Gavriel blinked his eyes before he nodded at once innocently and said, "Anything that you say momma!"

And Dove smiled at him before saying, "Baby, can you please go with this Grandpa, and sit over there, till momma finishes her work here?"

She said as she pointed at the room from outsiders the glass window.

Gavriel looked towards the glass room, before looking up at the grandfather who smiled at him kindly before nodding his head and said, "As you say, Momma." And he held the old man’s hand and walked to the room.

That old man was someone Dove trusted a lot and she sent Gavi with him. Because, she did not want her son to be present here. After all, she herself did not know what would she be asked about, and she did not want her son to be bothered by something her hears that shouldn’t have been heard at the first place.

She could have left Gavi with Dante here, nor just send Dante over there with Gavi, but Dante needed to be here. As Dante wouldn’t be entering the room, she told him, "Please along with keeping your eye on here, also continue looking over at Gavriel.

Though Mr Wilson is there with him, but still just in case."

Dante looked at Dove, who had concern in her eyes and smiled at her a little before nodding at her and telling her reassuringly, "Don’t worry, Miss Dove. I would have done that, even if you did not tell me too."

Dove looked back at him, before skiling at him in gratitude and turned back towards the entrance of the room.

Right now, Senior Sterling was assisted inside the hall by Noah, and everyone stood up in respect for him.

At this time, Dove felt her heartbeat slowly rising.

She is going to do something huge... But wait-! Why is her heart beating so fast?

And with each passing second, Dove felt a little palpitations in her body. And just when it was her turn to get in, she felt her body freeze.

Those words near her ears felt like it casted some magic upon her, and the very next second, they felt her palpitation going down. Turning her head sidewards, she saw Dante withdraw his head back and was looking at him with assuring eyes.

And understanding that, Dove smiled. But features softened and she nodded her head. He just told her what she needed to hear the most at this moment of time.

She looked at him thankfully, before taking a deep breathe and entered the hall with her full regained confidence.

Dante stayed behind looking at Dove, with a proud look on his face and he said sighed. Be it her feared face, or fierce face, every look of her was capable of pulling a tug in his heart.

This woman... This woman was going to be the reason he would live, and also be the reason of his death! And he already knew that.

But then, when he remembered the thankful and relieved expression that she just showed him now, his heart did a summersault.

Being in the security industry for all this years, Dante had already learnt and mastered body language of a person, and how he behaves.

And a little while earlier, when he had noticed Dove go stiff like a stone all of a sudden and look at nothing in particular, he at once understood that she got scared. And it was normal given the situation, and it would happen with almost everyone.

And there Dante whispered things in her ears which he knew that she would want and need to hear the most at the moment and what happened, happened.

He looked how everyone stood up again for Dove too before the conference was started.

One of the executive made a short speech, before Senior Sterling sitting on his place spoke a few words about the handing over the CEO’s position to Dove.

Just then, one of the reporters asked Senior Sterling, "Senior Master Sterling, we have heard that most of the employees did not even know that Miss Dove would be taking over the company today?" He asked with a light chuckle.

To which Senior Sterling nodded and said, "Yes, as they had nothing really to do about it. But everyone would need to know about it and do their works accordingly knew about it. All my other employees were already working hard. They did not need to get stressed over it.

They just need to know and they did."
