Chapter 78: STERLING CORPORATION

Gavriel at that blinked his eyes innocently sgd shrugged, "But mamma! I never said I sound do that? Why would I? It was just a hypo- the-tical question!" He dragged the word, as it was a new word he had recently learnt.

And Gavriel blinked his eyes innocently. Well, if it were someone else, then maybe Gavi would... But this is his dear, dear, great grandpa! He would never!

Doved look at her son with a small frown when they all heard Senior Sterling start laughing. Dante and Dove both turned to looked at Senior Sterling who laughed and he put an arm around Little Gavriel bringing him closer and said, "Stop scolding my little grandson, Dove. He would never do something like that with it. Maybe with others but never with me."

Hearing this, Gavi turned towards Senior Sterling with a bright smile on his face, ahd he winked at him. Well, he did try to wink, but in the process closed both his eyes, and said, "Great Grandpa is the best! He understands Gavi the most!"

"Yes! Yes!" And Senior Sterling happily nodded.

Dove smiled at them, mildly shaking her head. Senior Sterling’s then eyes fell on Dante who was looking at Gavriel who just said something to his mother and was laughing at his own joke, and the old man’s eyes softened a little.

Little Gavriel’s words and energy made him reminded of when Dante was a little boy.

He then turned towards Dove and asked, "Dove, is everything ready? Are you ready?"

Dove nodded her head and said, "Yes, grandpa, I am."

He then turned to look at Dante, who was smiling looking at Gavriel and Dove and cleared his throat saying, "Bodyguard Dante, how about you?"

Dante who was still in his dreamy land, blinked his eyes, clearly not used to his new job or position, "Huh?" But soon he remembered and realised before standing at an attention position and, exclaimed, "Reporting on duty, sir!"

Senior Sterling also nodded his head firmly in the very character, and he asked, "Do you remember what ever I had told you to do?"

And Dante nodded his head very obidiently, "Yes, Sir!"

Dove looked at both of them almost smiling ear to ear, as she saw how her Grandfather was being in a character, and acted like some grumpy general in military to his grandson like Dante.

And how even Dante was keeping him entertained.

Well, all Dove thought that Senior Sterling was childishly chiding him about Dove’s security, which Dove knew Dante would do well or at least his security.

But what she did not know was that, it was much deeper than that.

And it was not just about Dove’s protection, Dante would have still done with with all his heart.

Then they left for the company. On the way to the company, Gavriel kept talking and talking telling everyone about his days back where the used to tell.

He told them, how he would go to his mother’s workplace with him, and be a good boy there.

Dante sat at the passenger seat in front, while the others say behind, they all heard Gavi speak with great interest. And when he said that Dove pressed her lips as she looked at her own son, judging what he just said.

It was true that he used to go to work with her everyday. After all, she just couldn’t bear to leave her little son at home all day, when most of the times, Lisa also wouldn’t be around.

And even if they were they would just come over to the company and mind their business, while she did her job.

But hearing him say all these with such passion, Lisa would really be having a heart attack, if she were to listen. Gavriel wasn’t really such a good little boy! He was a very naughty and mischievous one!!!

Anyhow, they reached the company, and everyone got ready to alight down the car. There ar the executive parking garage of Sterling Corporation, some of the executives and directors were present there to receive them. The chairman of the company and the soon to be, CEO of the company.

Dante was first to open the door and step out of the car.

And when he did, the other executives who were standing there, waiting for them, for a moment got dumbstruck.

W- Who is he?

Everyone for a moment did not know how to react, as they saw Dante step down, smartly pull his coat. They had all wife guessed but did not know who he was.

And then Dante walked to the other side, Nd pulled the door open, before stretching his hand forward to help Senior Sterling get down the car.

And Senior Sterling very readily put his hand on Dante’s and with his help stepped down.

The higher executives smiled on seeing him, and then when they continued looking at the opened door, expecting Dove to step down, two little legs jumped down the car.

Before a small person appeared in front of them, rendering everyone speechless for a moment. Uh- huh?

And before they could react, red stilettoes appeared in front of them and Dove appeared from the car. She was wearing a dark red skirt, that reached down her mind things, a white inner short and a blazer matching her skirt.

And for a moment, every man as well as woman there were in trance. She... She looked, ’Wow’.

And then they looked at the others waiting for them, before Dove who was the one smiled at them.

Noah, who just walked in there in a little hurried manner, stopped in his steps when he saw Dove. And he felt his breath get stuck in his throat once again.

Dove was always gorgeous, but four years back, she still has a more teenager girly look. She was just eighteen after all.

But so much changes has appeared in the four years. She was more womanly now. Pregnancy playing a vast role there.

He felt his breath shaking when he exaled, but he was soon to get back in his senses.

Looking at others who still did not react, looking at them who arrived, he mildly shook his head. And cleared his throat, making them come back to their senses.

He took a step forward towards them and greeted Senior Sterling first, "Good morning, grandpa!"

Senior Sterling nodded his head and said, "Very very good morning."

And then he turned towards Dove and called, "Good morning, CEO Dove."

Dove smiled at him and said, "Good morning."

He also saw Gavi, and was a little surprised, not really expecting that Dove would bring her son here. After all, Dove was taking over the company today. And the press were also present today.

"Good morning, Gavi."

"Good morning, Uncle." The little boy waved his hand and said.

Noah also noticed Dante, as though he was standing behind everyone, his presence was still undeniable.

And on seeing him, Noah felt that brooding feeling again in thinking that this man would always be around Dove now. And he did not like the feeling. But still out of courtesy, he nodded his head at him.

And then the others too came over greeting Senior Sterling and Dove, one by one.

Dove too mingled with them, answering their greetings back.

Most of the faces here were whom Dove knew already from four years back, and she had worked with them while she would assist her grandfather. And some of them were new.

"Welcome back to the company, Miss Dove. And this time, as the CEO." Ab elder woman said to Dove.

Dove knew this kind woman very well and she chuckled before nodding her head, "Thank you, Ms Wilson."

Then Noah said, "Senior Sterling, Miss Dove, everything is ready inside. The press is also here."

They nodded their heads and said, "Yes, yes."

And one of the men there said out, "And who is the little boy, Senior Sterling?" It was one of the major questions having something already in their minds, and they had been looking at Gavriel with curious gaze from the moment, they arrived.

"He is my son." It was Done who answered with a polite smile on her face looking at them.

And they blinked their eyes in surprise, so the rumour is true.

It was last evening, that the whole company got an urgent news, that the company would be getting their CEO, the very next day.

Well, they all knew that Dove, Senior Sterling’s grandaughter would be talking over the company once she returns after completing her studies. But yesterday came as a shock as they did not know that she would be joining just tomorrow.

But it seemed that the higher ups were all aware of it. Well, except a very few like Jacob and his son, whom Senior Sterling had himself refrained from knowing.

But only a couple hours from then, a rumour at the internal group circles of the company employees went around like a wild fire.
