Chapter 74: MAYBE IT IS MY FAULT

The dinner started, and everyone had a happy dinner. The most excited one on the table was Gavriel. He kept asking the Butler or the helpers to keep serving him almost every dish.

And by the end of the meal, his tummy had turned into a little balloon.

He leaned back on the chair, rubbing his filled stomach in circles and said, "It was so yummy. But I can hardly move now. I had so much."

Dove pressed her lips in a straight line, looking at her son before she chided him gently, "Why do you have to eat so much, if now it is hurting?"

To to his mother’s question, Gavi just stuck his little tongue out and said, "But mamma, it was all so yummy. I couldn’t control myself!"

Dove shook her head mildly looking at her naughty son and said, "Sometimes seeing you eat so much makes me wonder if I am starving you."

Hearing her, Gavi laughed and still rubbing his little tummy, like it was something he was very proud of, he said, "If Aunty Lisa was here, then she would have definitely called me a ’glutton’ Hahaha!" And then saying that, he himself started laughing.

Meanwhile, the elders looked at the little kid with a small smile, seeing the boy laugh as if being called a glutton was a very big achievement and shook their heads. Whatever it was, he was a bundle of cuteness.

Dante looked at the interaction between his son and Dove, and he literally felt his heart mellow in sweetness. He was just patiently waiting for the day, he would be able to be a part of this sweetness.

But then when he turned his head a little, his face turned dark as he saw the way Noah was staring at Dove. Though out the dinner, he had numerous times caught this man looking at his woman.

A little while later, as Noah was about to leave, and the rest where about to retire for the night, he and the rest came to know when Senior Sterling announced that Dante would be staying in the mansion for the next six months.

And the rest did not even have a lot of problem with it. After all, the Sterling Mansion already had a lot of rooms and not many people to use it.

Also, Dante was Dove’s personal bodyguard now, so he had to be around her as soon as possible.

And moreover, even apart from being Dove’s bodyguard, Dante was also Senior Sterling’s special guest, so it was only right for him to stay in the mansion.

Calix would stay over tonight, before he would go to the branch of Fort Groups they had here. After all, since Dante was here doing his new found ’duty’, he had to look after the world of the company.

And when Noah heard this, for the first time in four years, did he regret moving out of the mansion. But for now he had no option but to go back to his own house.

Gavi, now that he was feeling very much better with his tummy, he was as excited as ever, cheerfully said, "Yay~ Alright everyone, good night! I am going back to my ocean room!" And then he spread his arms wide again, before he ’flew’ to his room.

Dove smiled as she looked at her son so happy and said, "Back there we were only two of us most of the time. Though Lisa would be there with us, but most of the time she had to come here for her shoot.

I also had a lot of things in my own plate and most of the time, i used to think that maybe my son feels very alone.

But he seems to be very happy here."

Senior Sterling looked at the direction where his great grandson went with a smile. Even his own house that had been silent for so many years, only now did it feel full and homely.

People are right when they say that children a bearer of happiness in a house.

Meanwhile, Dante too looked at the direction his son’s room was, before he slightly lowered his head.

Hearing Dove say that now, Dante felt a little pang of guilt. Dove just said about Gavi, but he also knew how much Dove herself had been enduring, and how lonely she must have felt.

His woman and son had to endure so much.

Maybe...? Dante thought to himself, ’Mabye they wouldn’t have to endure so much on their own, if he had been present in their lives. Maybe if he could just have done what he did just a little earlier?

But the universe knew the truth how much Dante thrieved to do things in the last four years.

When they all retired to their rooms for the night,

Dante and Calix were currently in Dante’s room. Dante was walking to and fro in the room, deep in his thoughts, with a small frown on his forehead.

Meanwhile, Calix was lying on the bed, solving a Rubik’s cube, while he would occassionally raise his head to glance at his Boss who looked distressed about something.

Calix decided to not comm eg about anything and let the man at first decide on his own what was actually bothering him.

After a while more, when Dante continued to do that, Calix gig a little impatient and even dizzy watching his Boss walk around the room without any sense and he asked, "Boss, why do you look like this? Should you be happy today?"

Dante stopped and glanced over at Calix to hear him say, "Almost everything today went according to your advantage. Senior Sterling approved of you. You became Miss Dove’s personal bodyguard, capable of being around her 24X7. Also now you will be able to live in this mansion for the next six months. But instead of being happy, you look the opposite." He said out his mind.
