While these two, Senior Sterling looked at them, and only looking at them increased his blood pressure. During that time, when his family, him, Dove and the rest of them were grieving of his son’s loss, and were going through a thought time. They had their own crazy and greedy ideas in their heads. Despite being families, and standing beside them, and helping them in their hard times, they were mad over the idea that how did Dove become the heir of the family business. And why had his son given all of his shares to his only daughter.

It was because according to them, they deserved to get the position that Simon’s son had. The place that he had worked so hard for the last twenty two years to bring the company to that heights. And even if that was the case, Senior Sterling would never allow that to happen. He wouldn’t just allow his son’s hard work to just go to anyone. And that was the reason that he had started to train Dove, even before she graduated from her high school.

While, this two, despite knowing everything, instead of helping him at that difficult times, they instead were busy creating troubles for him. Troubles, in such ways, that it would do irreversible damage to the company if he hadn’t handled it in right ways.

Maybe, by some means, me or my family must have done something that must have deeply hurt you. And I, today, apologise for it from the very deep corner of my heart. But I guess, now as a family, we must not keep this saltiness and bitterness among families any longer, isn’t it?"

Jacob smiled as a gentleman. And even Noren who looked at his father doned the same look and nodded his head. "Yes. Senior Sterling. Father is right. You are not in a very good health. And at times like this, only family comes to heed."

Senior Sterling listened to them speak big words, and felt like he was listening a serial killer preach about non violence. Blasphemy! He stared at them, and spoke, "Oh is it?" Though he said that very sarcastically, but the sudden pain that he felt though his whole body, made this expressions contoured. And this ended up looking to them that their words actually ended up touching him. Jacob’s smile widened and he pushed his boundaries and limits, not being able to hold on his greed any longer.

He said, " Of course, Uncle Simon." Leaning forward a little, he said, his voice now more coaxing and soft, "Grandpa, we are your own family left now. So it is obvious that we are going to take care of you and everything you have. It is no bog surprise. After all, what are families there for, isn’t it? Now see, Dove, she has binded herself in such a mess that she cannot come back. But do not worry, Senior Sterling. We, the second branch, we are still alive for you, to look after you." His face was almost beaming.

And that beam that he and his son was giving off was repulsing to the other three people in the room.

And what followed the words that he uttered, was a pin drop silence, which the father and son duo, very naturally thought that everyone was silent, because they all finally realised their worth. And it the point.

But unlike what Jacob and Noren were thinking, the pin did indeed hit the point, but oh- so wrong point. The image in front of this people that just fallen even more deeper into the pits of hell for them. Until now, they were just viewing these people as money and power hungry clowns, but now they were irredeemable. And the one mistake that they made was to make a comment about Dove.

Dove, someone who possessed a soft spot in the heart of this three men there. Senior Sterling would naturally not want to hear anything about his only granddaughter, specially from them. Even the butler did not like how they just passed comment about the young miss of this house, whom he has seen grow up.

Now, Noren and Jacob, they were unaware about they doom of hatred that was going to fall upon them. Because they don’t exactly have an idea of the gravity of the words that they just uttered.

Well, the outside world, be it in the company, neighbours, relatives or even the other branches of the family. They all knew that Dove got pregnant and she decided to keep the baby. And that her decision had led Senior Sterling to sent her abroad.

Well, but no one knew the exact version of it. After all, like the saying goes, the more mouths, the more stories. That was exactly what happened. Everyone knew that Senior Sterling had shunned his granddaughter abroad due to shame.

And Jacob and his family naturally thought that he is still angry over her since he had never allowed to come back, while making her face everything alone. And while she is not coming, he would use the anger Senior Sterling had in his heart, and the situation to their benefit. Dove could stay their handling the international branch, and pay for her mistakes, while he would butter Senior Sterling in the right way, before taking over the main company.

Simon Sterling’s tired eyes sharpened and he exerted effort to sit straight. Jacob who was in his happy bubble, opened his mouth and was about to speak again when Senior Sterling spoke, "And who said that I consider you all as my family?"

"Huh?" His sudden straight question wiped off that smile that the father and son had on their faces.

And Senior Sterling scoffed and said, "And also if I really had no one in my life to be called family, except you people breath, I would still have people by my side. This Simon Sterling has not built his life just like that." And by this comment, frowns came back on their forehads.

"Also, no need to give yourselves so much air, alright. I don’t even understand why you are here. My granddaughter is still there by my side if I need something. And now I have a very cute great grandchild too. I don’t lack family to care about me or my belongings. Dove is more than enough to care of her grandfather and the company."

They frowned, and Noren before he realised, he blurted out his thoughts, "But it isn’t like she is here."

To which, Senior Sterling looked at his way, and harumphed, "And which little birdie conveyed you the news that she is not coming back. She is coming back today, to take all that’s hers.
