The whole of the company was actually in shock at the unimaginable turn of events that happened in just a day. Just a day earlier, while most of them doubted her and even critisied her for ignoring the Davis’s, who were one of their biggest partners. And today, Dove suddenly owned ten percent of their shares. And that too, Dove has decided to put it under the company, adding much more to the company’s assets.

The executives who had doubted and questioned her last day, and were unhappy as they thought that it was a very stupid decision and manner to not only cancel the upcoming deals with the Davis Enterprise, but also try to cut out Davis Enterprise as a whole and almost blacklist them. But now, they were all dumbfolded. While, those handful of them who were on her side and had stuck to trust her, were now overjoyed. They went around saying, ’See! I told you to trust her. I was right.’

After all, why wouldn’t they. In one day, not only now they have ten percent of the shares added to the company, but also retrived that big project!

And currently if someone who was fuming with anger, then it would be Jacob and Noren! They had thought that maybe this will be what would turn out to be Dove’s self dug trap. But not only did nothing of that sort happen, instead, everything turned around to be exactly the complete opposite. Instead of a trap, it turned out to be a staircase to her success. While, Jacob was seething with anger, Noren glanced at his father pressing his lips together.

"Dad, I think instead of going against Dove, we should shake hands with her and be allies. Apparently the other side, isn’t working that profitable for us."

Jacob turned to look at his son with a sharp gaze, and said, "Noren! Have you lost your mind?! Do you want us to join hands with the first branch|? They don’t even want us in the company! Also, don’t forget, that we have long standing friendship with the Davis. Moreover, by joining hands with the first branch, do you want to come under and work for a woman?! Don’t you have any dignity left in you?! The first branch has no male heir to inherit the business, but they wouldn’t pass it down to the next rightful candidate, that is you. They want to be selfish from every other way!"

Noren did not say anything but kept his quiet not wanting to argue with his father. His father was rather the patriarchal kind, who would rather like to die than bow in front of a woman. And for that, he was ready to do anything. But Noren did not completely agree with his dad in everything. What he saw more important was power and profit.

And from what he could now see, that being with the Davis only wouldn’t help. After a moment, he spoke, in a calculated tone, "But Dad, the Davis, they couldn’t even control and safeguard their own interest, how would they help us to safeguard our interest. Moreover, now that the CEO has pulled out this, it will be even tougher for the second branch to take over. The company’s executives has always been very loyal to the first branch."

And though, Noren would not say it out loud, but he knew in his heart that Dove did have much more connection and cunningness to run this company. She was trained by Senior Sterling himself after all. Noren ran after money and power, but he also liked to be very conscious about the potential dangers, and harm. He did not like to take up risk, and would rather save him self and his interest first if something wrong came up.

Therefore, in his interest, he found it better for now that they shake his hands with Dove, who was already potentially generating a lot of profit for the company. And being on her side, he would also maybe increase in ranks and get a better position with more power. Because, looking at the current scenario, him being the CEO looks highly impossible. Maybe, something would happen in the future, but now it was difficult.

But all this, Noren feared he couldn’t share with his father. He looked at his father, who was deep in thought for a moment, before his lips lifted up in a cunning smirk and he said, "Don’t worry, Noren. I am not going to let the CEO leave today with all the good credits. She will have to face some thoughness that will question her company management." Noren stared at his father who had something cooking up in his mind.

Something that was against what his plan was. But he did not say anything even remotely close to stop him. Because, both ways was a win win for him. If what his father was thinking actually worked then, it was the best. They would possibly get what they were aiming for. And if not, he always had the option to shake hands with the first branch. And Noren nodded at his father, who smile with a pleased expression.

Meanwhile, back in the CEO’s office, Grace just left the office with a smile. She was one of the most happy people around after knowing what happened. Dove giving her these kinds of surprises are one of her favourites things. She put an arm under her cheeks, reading a file that Grace had just given her, before she left telling her about the meeting that they had in fifteen minutes.

Dante on the other hand sat on the couch, with the laptop opened in front of him, while he looked at Dove and studied her expression. Why does she feel like she was off about something? Sure, she was busy today and he could see that very well. But there was something in her activity that told him that it did not look as simple.
