Chapter 112: A DATE?

Hearing the waiter’s words, all the ladies felt their faces burn with embarrassment. Two women stood up, putting down their cutlery, and picked up their bags, and said, "Hump! All these embarrassment is enough for today!" And they stormed out of the restaurant. The other few women too looked at each other, before they pressed their lips together and nodded their heads before standing up and leave. And finally Cara did too.

But what no one knew was that the owner of the restaurant was no one other than Dante Lancaster. There was no way that these women would bully his woman and he would just stand by and do nothing. So after Dove was done confronting them all. He had secretly ordered the management to throw out these women out of here, after they left. And so it is now.

Meanwhile, neither Dove nor Dante spoke about anything that happened in the car. More specifically because Gavi was with them. Reaching back to the office, Dove had another quick online conference to attend to. And by the time she was done, Gavi had already fallen asleep. Gavi was still very young, so after having lunch in the after noon, he fell sleep while watching a cartoon show..

When she was done, she saw that Dante just carried Dove back to the longue area, to lay him on the bed.

Dove smiled a little before she stretched her body and getting up. She walked to the longue room, to see that Dante was carefully tucking him on the bed. He even caressed his head at last. And seeing that, Dove’s gaze softened before she looked at Dante’s back with something strange in her eyes.

And when Dante turned back, he was surprised to see Dove standing behind him. He was so focused on admiring his son’s sleeping face, that he did not even hear her walk in. "Miss Dove?" He blurted out.

Dove smiled at him softly, before saying, "Thank you for tucking Gavi to sleep." "You are welcome, Miss Dove." She then looked at the other food that was brought from the restaurant and she asked, him, "Then shall we eat?" Back there they did not get the time to eat, thanks to Cara. And Dove did not really want to eat in the car, as she already had a lot of things going on in her mind. Also, Dante was driving. And then coming back Dove had urgent work to do.

Dante nodded his head, and said, "Sure."

"Let me reheat the food." She said, but he then turned and said, "It’s alright Miss Dove, let me do it.." But before he could take another step, Dove called him out, "Mr Dante Lancaster." And Dante stopped in his tarck, and blinked his eyes once, and then twice, before he slowly turned around, a little dread in his heart. She has never called him by his full name!

And he found her stare at him with her lips pressed. Though there did not seem any evident anger on her face. And she said, "Mr Lancaster, whose office is this?"

"Yours.." He answered.

Dove nodded her head, and then said, "Yes, and here I am your Boss. So what I say will be happening. Now Please Mr Dante keep quiet and sit, while I reheat the food and bring." She turned away, but just when she took a step, Dove stopped and then turned back towards Dante and said, "Oh, wait. If you whish, you can set up the plates."

And she walked away, leaving Dante standing there blinking his eyes speechlessly.

"She..." Dante trailed before continued, "She might be the only woman whom I would ever let me Boss around around in this lifetime." And saying that he chuckled lightly. And if Dante was being honest, he actually did liked Dove Boss him around. Anyway, he went to set up the table and plates as per His Boss’ order.

As Dante finished putting up the plates, he quietly sat down waiting for Dove, looking at the empty chair in front of him. And just then did it drawn upon him. Oh wait!

His eyes suddenly shone as he seemed to realise something! Is this going to be their first date!!?! Dante’s mind was suddenly lit up with this thought. And a big smile doned his face, his eyes squinting in happiness.

This is the first time, they would ever have a meal together, only the two of them~ So what, if it is in the office and Dove had no idea about it. Dante had already made up in his mind that this is a date for them. And he happily put his arms on the table, and cupped his face with his hands. Soon, Dove came and he sat straight.

They served the food, and both started eating, and at first they did not talk much. Dante was actually happily, and he would occasionally sneak glances at Dove. She always looked so pretty.

Just then, Dove said all of a sudden, "Mr Lancaster, don’t you have something to ask me?"

Dante raised his head to look at her and blinked his eyes a couple of times. Did I way I was staring at her make her feel that I wanted to ask her something. And then Dove raised her head, her lips pressed into a somewhat awkward smile and she said, "About what ever Cara Davis said about me there?"

And she lowered her head again to her plate, and continued, "You have been around us for quite many days, and you never asked anything about it." Dante understood what she wanted to say. She was asking if he wanted to ask anything about Gavi’s father. And she only asked it because of whatever happened back there. But what was there to ask, he is Gavi’s father after all! He knew that!

But could he say that? No.

And Dante just smiled at her and shook his head, "Miss Dove, I don’t want to ask you anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. Because I believe that if you want me to know something you would just tell me."
