Dugu Qianye watched as Green Emperor Xiahou struggled to keep his composure, the veins on his forehead throbbing. She hadn’t expected him to have such patience, having thought he was just a big block of ice.

"Reserved," she concluded, thinking back on his endless talk about elixirs during the competition.

"Hmph," Zi Xiao glared at Dugu Qianye, huffing in disapproval.

"What’s wrong?" Dugu Qianye asked, seeing the sour expression on Zi Xiao’s face.

"Why did you make that kind of bet with Shayan?" Zi Xiao asked, his face stern and displeased.

"Eh, what’s wrong with it?" Dugu Qianye didn’t understand why Zi Xiao was pulling a face.

"Brother, can’t you see he’s angry?" Mo Feng looked disdainfully at Dugu Qianye.

Dugu Qianye looked at Mo Feng and then back at Zi Xiao, saying, "I can see that. But what’s there to be angry about? I’m confident about winning against him, why worry?"

The knocking on the door interrupted the warmth of the room, and Dugu Qianye suddenly snapped back to reality. Her arms, which had been embracing Zi Xiao, pushed against his chest as she said, "That, go open the door."

Zi Xiao’s face couldn’t get any darker. It was unforgivable to be interrupted at this moment! "I’ll see who it is."

"Mhm," Dugu Qianye nodded.

Seeing Dugu Qianye’s reaction, Zi Xiao kissed her again, the persistent knocking continuing from outside. He said, "What should we do? I don’t want to stop."

Dugu Qianye had already calmed her emotions and, hearing someone was looking for her, approached the door and asked, "Is something the matter?"

Seeing Dugu Qianye’s petite figure and her swollen lips, and then considering Zi Xiao’s darkened face, Tian Bo’s expression changed.
