In the dark, cold underground room groans of agony could he heard echoing through the hallways, a testament of the torment and torture that was happening within the walls.

As another cry broke out, Max’s harsh tone resounded through the dark reverberating on the walls. "Be quiet. What a noise maker," he said his eyes staring at the man who was bleeding from every visible part of his body.

His accomplices have also been tired just like and before them, Alex sat with dagger in hand. Blood dripped from its edge adding to the ome already splattered on the floor but his eyes were expressionless and his face devoid of emotion.

That only had saved him the trouble of having talk much. Now, he could just focus on making these bastards cry out in pain until they could no linger.

"It won’t happen again, Mr Legend. We didn’t know the woman was yours," the one whoever tirn was next began pleading but his wirds didn’t reach the ears he wished them to. "Let us go this time sir. You will never see us again."

Alex lips twitched into the faintest smile that they had ever seen. It came so fast and disappearing even faster that they were unable to properly register it.

"You don’t have to worry. After tonight, I won’t ever see you again," Alex said almost in a sing song voice. His sound calm but the frost in his eyes said otherwise.

His eyes started turning hollow and his skin paled with every second that ticked by. Once his breath ceased, and his body went limp against the straps that held him bound, Alex cast a glance at the bodyguards who didn’t need to be told what to as they came and carried the body to the corner not disposing it just yet.

He then turned his attention to the others who knew that their deaths has come andnut was going to be a pain-filled one.

"Alex wait," the voice made everything pause and all eyws darted towards the entrance and found the newcomer. He was breathing heavily as if had run all the way there which they all knew was not possible.

Alex didn’t look at him. He didn’t need to. The voice was already enough to announce the man’s presence.

"Why don’t you leave the rest to us," he strutted in and placed a hand on Alex’ shoulder but the man still didn’t react. This was what he was afraid of. He knew that the possibility of him losing his rationality was Hugh because if who this was centered on, Sara Ambrose. Everything about her had always taken him to the extreme.

He didny like it if she was ever hurt by anyone. Not even while he was away. He kept track of everything around her, made sure she was safe and sound every minute of the day. Although he had been hurt when he learnt she had forgotten about him and the history together, or when he learned of her past relationships, he did nothiing thinking she was happy but also made sure whoever hurt her suffered for it. His possessiveness was beyond comprehension and these fools were learning that the hard way. The Goldmans would also learn this hard truth as well.

"Sara might need you at home. Leave this to us. I promise to do a clean job," he negotiated. He saw as Alex body stiffened at the mention of Sara and that was a good sign. At least he was able to reach him.

Alex looked over his shoulder and Kai nodded his head in reassurance.

"You don’t have personally vent your anger like this. This is why we have people Max. The car do the dirty work," he said in a playful tone. Recieving a glare from Maxwell but he ignored it as if he didn’t notice it and continued. "She wouldn’t be happy seeing you like this. Covered in blood. You know what will happen if she does."

"All right," Alex said. He stood up and gave the dagger to Kai who was more willing to take it from him but immediately passed it to Max. "I’ll leave this to you. I don’t want to see tomorrow," he said and Kai nodded his head before he left the cells.

On the other side of the Amberfell, Adam returned home right after the family had just finished having dinner and he was in no mood at all to talk or entertain anyone. But that didn’t mean others weren’t in the mood to talk.

"Where have you been, Adam?" Dominic asked. They had left the dining room.and now in the drawing room.

Lily walked in and stopped at the door sensing the tension between father and son. Looking at her son now, she was beyond mad at his behavior. If she was willing to give a blind eye to it in the past, then thay was then. Now it was different. His foolishness has cost the family a great deal. Her patience snapped when he replied to Dominic.

"I went to talk to Malerie," Adak replied and before he knew it, a slap resounded across the room and his face was forceful turned to one side. The shock was evident in his eyes almost on unable to believe that his mother slapped him. "Mum...?" the disbelief in histone was clear. But when he saw the fire in Lily’s eyed, he didn’t doubt it. She had slapped him.

Dominic was no different. He was equally as shocked to see that but then again, Adam deserved that. No child was too old for a mother to discipline.

"After everything, that she had caused, you still went to see tha woman?" Lily couldn’t believe her ears. It was as Williams had so rightly said, the had failed as parents. It was the only logical explanation for this. Adam was not at all remorseful about his actions. Rather trying to fix the problems at home first, he went after a woma who would only lead him to his ruin. "Did I ever wrong you, Adam? Did I wrong you?"

Tears streamed down her cheeks as she stared at her son. What did she do to deserve this?

"Mum, I..." Adam began felling an ache in his chest seeing his mother cry like that but she rudely cut him off.

"Don’t you dare, Adam. Don’t," She said between sobs and Dominic had to go to her side to try to calm her but nothing was working.
