Chapter 39: Letting them know

Chapter 39: Letting them know

Sara returned home and took a quick bath before leaving for the Snow residence. Reaching there. She was immediately taken to where they had been waiting for her.

Lively chatter could be heard as Sara approached the room. Sandra and aanne could be heard making fun of each other, and she could imagine Jessa shaking her had at them and calling them children.

"Thank you for bringing me here," Sara said to the housekeeper who had happily shown her the way.

"I am happy you be help," the woman replied with a trained smile and a simple nod of the head.

Sara smiled back at her before opening the door and entering inside while the housekeeper returned to her duties.

Inside, no one even noticed her presence yet. Sandra an Anne were engaged in a pillow fight while Jessa tried to stop them but whenever she holds one, the other throw the pillow causing Jessa to move back and forth in an attempt to catch at least one of the pillows but proved futile.

"I see you’re all having a good time," Sara said, catching their attention. And bringing to a stop. She leaned against the door frame and folded her arms across her chest, and a brow raised.

"Sara..."

"you’re here..."

Anne and Sandra said at the same time and quickly discarded the pillows. They went to her, hugging even when there was no reaction from her.

"Took you long enough," Jessa said but smiled upon seeing her.

"Have you been waiting long?" Sara asked as she finally managed to break free from the two. Together, they went and sat down with Sara, trying to clean off some features from the seats gave up and just sat on them.

"Yes," their reply was in sync, and Sara shook her head.

She did tell them that they would meet in the evening. It was their fault for coming earlier.

"But don’t worry, we kept ourselves entertained," Sandra said while offering a drink k to Sara, who took it and muttered a soundless ’thank you’ to her.

"And besides, our anonymous friend’s post kept occupied. I wish we knew who they are then we would have invited them to dinner to thank them properly for teaching the manwhore a lesson," Anne uttered with a pout.

Sars laughed while Jessa raised a brow with a hand placed on her hip.

"Anyway, why did you want to meet?" Jessa asked knowing Sara wouldn’t request a meet up like this without a reason although her choice of a meeting place surprised her. A bar, restaurant or even a Cafe would have been better. Those where the kind of setting they usually meet.

"Yeah, I am curiosity too. Had I not seen you message before the viral post, I would have thought you wanted to discuss that," Anne said as she and Sandra drew closer to Sara.

"Why at her place though, mine is way better," Sandra complained only to receive a glare from Anne.

"Because she like mine better. It’s as simple as that " Anne replied on behalf of Sara and right after that, they both started arguing about whose place was better leaving Sara and Jessa to massage their temples.

"There is no specific reason, guys," Sara interrupted them ans the turned to look at her. "I am serious. It just came to me whole I was thinking of where and so... here we are."

"Just tell us what’s up," Jessa said. Spending an entire afternoon with them and hearing their bickering from the smallest thing was now starting wear on her.

Sara took a deep breath as she thought I’d how to begin. Seeing her expression turn serious, they all knew it had to be something important and they also wore serious expressions.

"Before I start, I want to ask you, have anyone approached recently asking about me? Or maybe felt lefties someone is watching you? Stalking you?" Sara asked and they all frowned and exchanged puzzled glances with each other.

"No," Anne said.

"Yes... I think i fee eyes on me but o get that quite often," Sandra said, tapping on her chin thoughtfully.

"Whay happened?" Jessa asked knowing either something big had happened or was about to.

"Someone is looking for me," Sara said and their frowns deppend. "I am afraid you gilrs would get in between as my friends so I wanted to warn you, before thay happens," Sara said looking at Sandra apologetically.

"Someone is after you....?" Jessa reiterated.

"...and he is not like... chasing you...?" Anne added.

"...You are telling us this because he is maybe... dangerous?"Sandra said and all Sara did was nod to all three of their statements while wondering the think he is chasing her.

"WHO?" They all asked.

"The Goldmans from Easton," Sara replied and they became even lore puzzled.

"WHY?!" The asked again at the sane time.

They all knew who the Goldmans were, and they knew that their had no business with them, neither has she crossed path with to offend them, so why were they after her.

"Okay, this is a long story, but I’ll make as short as possible," Sara said, and they nodded their heads. "Appearantly, Trevor Goldman is my father.

"HUH?!" the all said together again and Sara sighed.

"I am serious, you know?"

"Hold on. Just hold on," Jessa said and adjusted her sitting position, coming closer to the edge. "You are saying you are a Goldman? And your father just suddenly realized that you are his daughter and he is coming for you?" She asked as if it wasn’t clear before.

Sara nodded, "Yes."

"So why did you sound so grim before? Isn’t it a good thing?" Sandra blurted out befir3 she realized what she had missed. "Oh... I am sorry."

"You don’t want to acknowledge him, do you?" Anne asked as understanding dawned on them.

"That’s not the reason why I am telling you this," Sara said and sighed again. "Yes, I don’t acknowledge him but there is a problem much bigger than that. While Trevor wants me back, his wife and family members don’t."

"...."

Everyone was silent after her words.

"You get it now?" They all nodded finally grasping the situation.

"We will be careful and so should you," Sandra said, bow growing wary of the pair if eyes she felt following her everywhere.
