Chapter 66: Degenerate Alpha Julius

Chapter 66: Degenerate Alpha Julius

"I know my way around. Unless you’re passing a hint that your pack is not safe for me," Reana said, her tone neutral.

Alpha Julius’s gaze narrowed slightly, his jaw clenched in a subtle display of Alpha pride, before he relaxed into a charming smile. "My pack is always safe, Luna Reana. Especially for a honored guest such as yourself."

Reana’s head bobbed gently, "Then, I shall take my—" but before she could finish, he suddenly took her hand and placed it on his groin.

Reana’s eyes widened as she felt the hard bulge in his trousers. She quickly tried to snatch her hand back, but before she could, he suddenly hugged her!

His heartbeat was rapid, pounding against her chest like a drum, and for a moment, she genuinely thought he was experiencing a heart problem.

To hell with that!

’Smack!’ She pushed him away and landed a powerful slap across his face. Reana’s palm stung and her wrist popped from the heavy-handed hit.

Alpha Julius’s head turned from the impact as he stumbled back, a deafening buzz rang in his ear for a moment as he felt dazed and disoriented.

How dare he do that? What did he take her for? Even though she was as horny as hell, it didn’t mean she’d open her legs for just any one!

Reana was raging, but somehow, she remained calm. Too calm for anyone’s good.

Alpha Julius’s eyes flashed with surprise. He didn’t expect her to be so strong. He thought as she was in her heat cycle, he could take advantage of that to speed up his advances. Unfortunately, he’d ruined his chances.

It took him almost a minute to regain his composure. "You packed quite a punch, Luna Reana," Alpha Julius said, smiling as he rubbed his cheek, the red handprint still visible.

Reana’s expression remained serene and unruffled. Even though she was furious and wanted nothing but to slice off that hand of his, she couldn’t storm out of here.

She’s failed to secure help from the West Wood Pack, and couldn’t leave the Silver Ridge Pack empty handed now. The other packs in the region were too far and their relationship wasn’t decent enough to help them without demanding more than her Black Moon Pack could afford.

So, Reana needed Alpha Julius’s help. But she wouldn’t grovel nor forgive his disrespect. She would make sure to remember this sexual assault.

"I didn’t expect you to be like this, Alpha Julius."

"Why are you pretending not to sense it, Reana? We both want it." Alpha Julius asked, his low, husky tone dripping with intimacy.

Reana’s eyes flashed, her hand balled in a tight fist. "I don’t know what you’re talking about," she said, her voice steady.

Alpha Julius’s gaze bore into hers, his eyes burning with an unspoken intensity. "Don’t lie to me, Luna," he leaned forward and whispered, "You have to satiate it before it gets worse," he whispered, his breath caressing her face.

The spark within Reana flared to life, fueled by the Alpha’s provocative words, the whisper of his breath, and the intoxicating closeness of their bodies. Her eyes narrowed, a warning glinting in their depths.

"Do you wish to forfeit your honor and become a degenerate, Alpha Julius?" Reana’s voice was laced with a subtle venom, her words dripping with disdain as she met his gaze, her expression growing colder. "That would likely put you in the same category as the rogues - lawless and beneath the lowest of lows."

Alpha Julius pulled back, a wry smile twisting his lips. "The goddess forbid I sink so low," he said, his voice laced with irony.

Reana’s gaze never wavered. "You’re walking the path, Alpha Julius."

The air was heavy with tension as Alpha Julius fell silent, his eyes cast downward. Finally, he spoke, his voice tinged with remorse. "I have transgressed against you, Luna Reana. Do forgive me."

He bowed his head slightly, awaiting her response. But Reana remained still, her eyes fixed intently on him, her expression unreadable.

After a while of not hearing her speak, he straightened his back and began, "I like you, Luna Reana. I’ve always liked you. Reginald, your oldest brother, knew that well," Alpha Julius said, his voice low and introspective, a hint of a smile playing on his lips. "He often teased me about my... fascination with the little sister of the Black Wood Pack."

"What do you hope to achieve by revealing this, Alpha Julius?" she asked finally.

"I want you to be my Luna," Alpha Julius said. He took a step closer to Reana as he continued, "To stand by my side, to rule with me, and to bear my pups."

"Is this proposal conditional, Alpha Julius?" Reana’s voice was laced with a subtle accusation. "Am I to understand that if I refuse, you’ll withhold your aid from my pack?" Her eyes narrowed, her gaze piercing his with a sharp intensity.

"Of course not. That’s not my intention," he snapped, his eyes locking onto Reana’s. "I would never use my pack’s resources as leverage against you. My proposal is genuine, Reana. I want you by my side, not because of politics or obligation, but because I believe we could be great together."

"But that’s not my belief, Alpha Julius," Reana said, her voice firm and resolute, a hint of steel beneath her words. "And I fear our union would be built on shaky ground, at best."

"Why do you feel that way?" Alpha Julius asked, searching eyes for any hidden vulnerability. But all he saw was a thick wall of ice.

"I don’t feel the same way," Reana said, her voice soft but unwavering, her eyes meeting Alpha Julius’s with a quiet resolve. "And I don’t think it’s fair to either of us to pretend otherwise."

"Perhaps," Alpha Julius suggested, his voice smooth as silk, "you’d want to think about it some more before you reject me outright. Consider the benefits our union could bring to both our packs."

Reana nodded calmly, "Indeed, the benefit would be substantial." She continued, "However, it’s not a matter that can be decided solely on benefits and advantages," Reana said, her voice measured and deliberate. "There are other factors at play, factors that I must carefully consider before making a decision."

"Such as?" Alpha Julius asked, his brow arched in inquiry.

Reana took a deep breath, her shoulders squaring. "Alpha Julius, I came here to seek your help, not to enter into a binding agreement that would compromise my pack’s autonomy or my own freedom."

Alpha Julius’s expression turned inscrutable, his eyes narrowing as he regarded Reana. The air was thick with tension as he weighed his options.

"Will you render us your help or should I seek assistance elsewhere?" Reana pressed, her voice unwavering, her gaze holding Alpha Julius’s with an unflinching intensity.
