MATED TO THE SECRET ALPHA -
Chapter 130: A Beautiful Monster
Chapter 130: A Beautiful Monster
The she-wolves’ eyes remained downcast, while some looked over at Gideon, afraid to meet their Alpha’s stare, their breathing shallow and rapid.
The masked man’s gaze seemed to bore into them, his eyes burning with an inner fire. He stopped in front of one of the she-wolves.
She was younger than the others, her appearance less messy, but her rogue smell irked him.
But he needed her.
"Look at me," he ordered and she obeyed.
His gaze seemed to hold hers, his eyes searching for something hidden deep within. And then, without warning, he reached out and grasped her chin, his fingers wrapping around it like a vice.
"You," he growled, his voice low and menacing. "What’s your name?"
The she-wolf’s eyes flickered up to his, a flash of fear crossing her face before she replied, "A-Astra, Alpha."
His gaze burned with an intensity that made Astra’s heart skip a beat. And then, without warning, he groaned, his body shuddering as the wave of heat washed over him once more.
Astra’s eyes widened in fear as the masked man’s grip on her chin tightened, his fingers digging into her skin. She felt a surge of pain, but she didn’t dare to cry out.
"To my chambers," he growled and turned on his heels.
Astra was stunned, frozen, and bewildered.
"Run after him, NOW!" Gideon yelled, his voice piercing the air like a whip.
Astra’s heart skipped a beat as she snapped out of her trance, her eyes darting to Gideon’s face. His expression was a mixture of concern and warning, his eyes flashing with a ’don’t-make-him-angry’ message.
Astra’s instincts kicked in, and she quickly followed the masked man, her feet pounding the ground as she tried to keep up with his long strides.
Seeing she couldn’t keep up, she chased after him, her heart racing with fear and uncertainty. What did the alpha want with her? And why was he taking her to his chambers?
The questions swirled in her mind, but she didn’t dare to ask. She knew better than to question the alpha’s orders.
As she followed him, Astra caught glimpses of the pack members watching from the shadows, their faces a mixture of curiosity and concern. Some of them whispered to each other, their voices barely audible, but Astra’s ears picked up snippets of conversation.
"What a pity. I had eyes for her."
"She’ll end up like the last she-wolf."
The whispers only added to Astra’s anxiety, her mind racing with worst-case scenarios. She had heard stories about the alpha’s temper, about what happened to those who crossed him. Astra’s heart sank, her legs trembling as she followed the masked man to his chambers.
Soon, they stopped at the largest tent in the furthest part of the forest. The masked man didn’t live among the others, for reasons best known to him.
As he lifted the flap of the tent, Astra’s eyes widened in surprise. The interior of the tent was unlike anything she had expected. It was luxurious, with plush carpets and soft, golden lighting that seemed to dance across the walls. The air was thick with the scent of weird incense.
But it smelt nice and relaxing, as she felt the tension in her bones relaxing.
"In," he growled, his voice low and menacing.
Astra swallowed hard, her heart racing as she stepped into the alpha’s ’chambers’. The flap closed behind her.
Before she could process what was happening, the masked man’s hand grasped her arm, spinning her around to face him. His eyes burned with an inner fire, his gaze piercing as he pulled her close.
Astra’s heart skipped a beat as she felt his warm breath on her skin, his face inches from hers. The air was thick with tension, the silence between them heavy with anticipation.
The masked man’s eyes seemed to bore into hers, his gaze searching for something hidden deep within. And then, without a word, he reached up and slowly began to remove his mask.
Astra’s eyes widened in surprise, her heart racing with curiosity and fear. What lay beneath the mask? Was it a face that would haunt her dreams, or one that would make her heart skip a beat?
The masked man’s movements were slow and deliberate, his eyes never leaving hers as he revealed his face. Astra’s breath caught in her throat as the mask came away, revealing a face that was both beautiful and terrifying.
The most beautiful, not handsome. Beautiful man she’d ever seen, or even existed.
The alpha’s features were chiseled, yet delicate, his skin smooth and unblemished - unmarred by any scars or imperfections. His eyes were piercing and cold and intense, housing dark blue eyes, like Ryder’s.
They were fringed with thick lashes that seemed to flutter as he blinked. His nose was small and straight, his lips full and inviting.
Astra’s gaze was drawn to his mouth, her heart skipping a beat as she wondered what it would be like to feel those lips on hers.
The alpha’s eyes seemed to burn with an inner fire, his gaze holding hers with an unyielding intensity.
As the mask came away, Astra felt a sense of wonder, a sense of awe at the beauty that lay before her. She had never seen a man so beautiful, so delicate, yet so powerful.
But she was given no time to process her thoughts, no time to marvel at the alpha’s beauty. As soon as the mask came away, the alpha’s face contorted in pain, his eyes squeezing shut as he let out a low, anguished groan.
Astra’s heart skipped a beat as she felt a surge of concern, her hands reaching out instinctively to help him. The alpha’s body began to shake, his muscles trembling with a force that seemed to radiate from within.
Astra’s eyes widened in alarm as she realized that something was terribly wrong. The alpha’s face was twisted in agony, his skin slick with sweat as he struggled to control the convulsions that wracked his body.
"A– Alpha, are you alright?"
The alpha’s eyes flew open, his gaze locking onto hers as he let out a low, guttural growl, like he’d locked eyes on the remedy to his problem, he pounced on Astra.
