Chapter 298: Flashback - 38

Silas’s POV

I want to die from embarrassment. How can I be glancing at them and get caught by them?

While sitting down, I had also grabbed Orian’s hand and made him sit down too, because I didn’t want them to see that both of us brothers were looking at them.

"What happened? Why are we hiding?" Orian asked.

"Damon looked up. I was scared in the heat of the moment. That’s why I pulled you down with me too. Sorry."

"Even if they caught you looking at them, why does it matter? It’s your room, you’re looking at them from your own room. It’s not like they’re going to blame you for looking at them."

Well, what Orian said also makes sense, but yes, why am I hiding when this is my own room, my own pack, and my own palace? I can look anywhere I want.

But are they going to leave for their pack or stay here? I didn’t ask them. I’m such an idiot. I should have asked them. Whatever, I don’t think it’s something to worry about. I am in my first relationship, my life’s first relationship. With such handsome alphas—not one, but four. And the four are very good-looking and gentlemanly.

After that, Orian and I talked about many things for hours, and then he wanted to meet Meyer. That’s why Orian and I also got ready, and we both left the room. As we were going out of the palace, I noticed the four of them were standing in the hall talking with Dad. I told Orian to wait, and I went there, hid behind the wall, and sneak-peeked at them.

As I did, Lysander suddenly noticed me. But as he was looking, dad also turned, but I hid myself very well. And when my father started talking with them again, I peeked again and signaled them to follow me and leave from there. Now, I have called them. It’s their choice to come behind me or not. If they follow me, it’s good. If they don’t follow, it’s their choice.

When Orian and I came out of the palace, we were about to sit in the carriage. But then we thought, why not take a walk from here to Meyer’s and we took the shortcut, which was through the forest. As we were going, guards were behind us, but my whole attention was behind me to see those four. I guess they didn’t understand my signal—that must be the case. Still, I was glancing back again and again.

"Silas, why are you looking back? Is someone following us?"

"Not really. I just signaled them to follow me. I thought they would. They’re not following us. Man, I’m feeling disappointed."

"Silas, then you can stay here and wait for them. I will go ahead and meet Meyer."

"You are joking, right, Orian? How can I leave you alone? Even if those four didn’t follow me, I will still go with you, don’t worry. As a brother, I am a very, very responsible person."

"Enough with the nonsense now, Silas."

We were both talking and walking as we reached the town. I didn’t glance back then. I had understood that they were not following me, so why would I glance back again and again? We were walking, walking, and by walking we had reached Meyer’s house, and it was locked. We understood that Meyer was still working. That’s why we both sat down on the chairs.

Two chairs were kept there. I think I am seeing things, because from far away, some people were coming here. I don’t know who they were, but I had a hunch that it must be them. But I didn’t get too excited until I saw it was really them. Man, they really did follow me. I thought they wouldn’t—they didn’t understand my signal. But yes, they are here. My heart was skipping very fast. I was just looking at them. They weren’t even close to me. They were too far away.

I was feeling excited in my stomach.

"Orian, they are here, look!"

"Yes, I can see that, Silas. Calm down. I can hear your heart rate, okay?"

As they came closer, I stood up from the chair, looking at them with a smiling face. The excitement was hovering over me.

"What are you doing here? Did you have any work here?" I’m trying to pretend like I didn’t call them here. That they came on their own and we met by chance.

"Yes, we had some work here, that’s why we came. Silas, what are you doing here? Is it a coincidence that we bumped into each other?" Kael said.

Oh man, Kael was also playing along with me. He didn’t say that yes, it was me who signaled them. I’m feeling so happy that I just want to smile and smile.

"But what are you doing here in the town? And whose house is this?" Damon asked while looking around and at the door too—of Meyer’s—because we were sitting in Meyer’s yard, of course he would ask.

I glanced at Orian, and Orian looked away. I thought he would say that it’s his boyfriend’s house, but he looked away like he’s not going to help me. And just then, Meyer arrived. Seeing him, I was very happy. As he came, his eyes directly fell on Orian.

After noticing him, he saw those four were also there, and I know he doesn’t know them. That’s why he was like, who are they? I could just tell from his facial expression and his eyes, which were judging them very harshly.

"Who are you? What are you doing in front of my house?" Without wasting any time, Orian stood up and went to Meyer and hugged his arm.

"I missed you so much." As Orian said that, I guess those four must have understood what the relationship was between Meyer and Orian, and why we were here, in front of Meyer’s house.

I also took a step toward them and stood between them. I leaned closer to Damon and, while hiding my mouth with my hand, I leaned closer to Damon’s ear because I wanted to whisper.

"That alpha is Orian’s boyfriend. I mean, they are not officially in a relationship yet, but yes, they both love each other."

"Oh, I see. That’s what’s going on here." He replied while looking at them.
