Chapter 2546 2546: 2546. Water Gardens

Different from the areas that Walker had seen before, the underwater central area had become divided now. The underwater stone wall was something that many would consider odd until they realized that the stones used were full of holes and more decorative and practical than actually being used as a wall.

The central area of the lake was used partially for gatherings but also not partially used for the larger garden. The rocks full of holes were also the bases of many plants that kept them from growing in to the general areas of the meeting place. It would allow them to be seen and observed while not allowing them to grow rampant and become a trouble for anyone who lived within the lake.

'Hollow stone

This is a type of tone that developed within moving waterfalls. Because of the high current it is always allowing the water mana to move through it which causes it to develop a strange shape. However, this also allows it to gather unique nutrients from water and almost act as a filter.

While because of all this, it is a terrible crafting material, it is immensely valuable when growing weaker underwater plants. It is able to act as the best anchor for their roots while also giving a unique home to some of the smallest monsters which would be eaten by predators without the plants and the rocks to hide within.

It gathers enough unique water mana to also feed the affinities of the plants that grow on it…'

Not the most amazing stone ever but ideal for what was going on here. The water elves must have specifically gone to harvest this from an area that had a decent waterfall which most likely had a lot of this stone. The constant flow of the water in an area like that would surely cause there to be plenty of unique hollow stone forming.

When the pair looked over the wall they saw the strange waving flow of the entire underwater garden. Each plant either moved with the currents that naturally existed within the lake from water flowing or movements of those living within. Or, they moved because of the ways that they released and absorbed the water manas around.

That wasn't to note that there were some that were absorbing other manas. The duals and even triple affinity plants here would be very unique when it came to the fact that they were all growing in unison and also sharing manas with one another once they have released those manas.

'Creeping water roots

This plant is one of those that most people would never see. It prefers to grow in the darkest parts of small streams and will often be buried in silt unless a flood has washed the first away. It is not poisonous but has the dark purple coloration of similar poisonous plants many would avoid naturally.

It is actually a valuable herb that can be used to help those who have been poisoned by absorbing too much water mana. It will allow the body to release additional water mana more easily without strain than what other herbs can…'

Just the little bit of the alla round appraisal that Walker read about the dark and water affinity plant nearby was interesting enough. But to counter that Onyx had pointed out a different herb capturing the air from the water but also reaching toward the sun.

'Bubble weed

This plant is absorbing the light from the sun that filters through the water and using it to absorb the air around it. This allows it to fill the small ends of its leaves with air to float closer to the light. By doing so, it can eventually break outside the water and allow for the bubbles to pop and the flowers to bloom for a week at least. The flowers will release water mana in to the air causing different monsters to be attracted which will feed on the flowers and allow for the seeds to be dropped elsewhere in the lake when the monsters land in the water…'

And here the plant that Onyx found was water, light, and wind affinity. A triple affinity plant that seemed to take the higher areas of the garden as the creeping water roots owned the ground. The pair spent the next half hour roaming the garden and swimming through currents of underwater plants. They saw a few of the caretakers planting seeds that would eventually bloom on to other unique underwater plants.

While the garden had herbal uses, the colors of the underwater plants growing here were very vibrant. Some areas even had rune formations to heat or cool the water and allow certain plants to thrive. The rune carvers who had managed this would easily be some of the top most talented. They had created some runes formations that could not only survive under the water without being ruined but also be able to absorb fire mana somehow to heat the water. It wasn't just that though, the rune formations clearly had been thought out since their placement caused a small current of hot and cold water to shift naturally.

This was all an amazing example of the quality people were capable of. Another peaceful place that the races here could take advantage of. Also, a place that inspired Walker to try and see if he could get some plants that would weaken elemental affinities in to the training for resistances he had been observing.

'Double skin water lily

This water lily is different than other water lilies, this is because it has a double skin that traps air and water in separate parts of its stem. This is how it allows itself to float and absorb the light mana it needs.

One skin is extremely water repellent and if accidentally ingested weakens the binds with water mana and damages the body if influenced by water mana. The other skin is resistant to air and can be used to repel high amounts of air mana, however, it is not toxic when ingested.

There was lore to the plant and to the poison that not was a known ingredient for. "We can use that to make poisons that would challenge anyone who tries to absorb water mana or even be in an area dense in it. I bet we can use it and plants to make poisons that cause elemental mana resistances to be weaker and weaker."

"If you have the soldiers, guards, and adventurers use that, they will need less time to train their resistances." Onyx understood that Walker would weaken everyone before their training to ensure that even if these people and grown tough resistance to whatever mana they trained, they would still face a tough training that would enhance that resistance.

"I was thinking about us and the rest of our party. All of us have trained our resistances to every mana and even physically to a very high level. We have to go to very elemental mana dense areas or even to the elemental planes to train our resistances at all now." Onyx blinked in response to what Walker was suggesting.

"So we would be poisoning ourselves?"

"Yes, poison ourselves and train magical resistances while also enhancing our poison resistances overall." He felt he was also saying something completely radical. Yet, Onyx showed understanding.

"We all have gotten stronger than any average strong soldier in the world. I understand Brother." Onyx was ready to commit right then and there. But Walker felt he would meet with Remey too so they could work on a progression that would be safe. Too strong of a poison to train right away would be a poor idea.

"What if we can already resist most poisons?" Walker wasn't sure what Onyx meant by this. "I have dark and light affinity, I naturally degrade poison with my darkness affinity mana."

"That's what more debuff skills will be for." The more that Walker applied the ideas that poisons could be created to also reduce someone's affinity or resistance to a mana as a whole the more his ideas for how to better train all affinities came together.

It was small events like this that allowed him more mental versatility when deciding how to improve and enhance Genesis along with himself.

"Then we can make plans for new resistance training alongside the mana dense rooms. Brother, we will have to follow this through." Having Onyx entirely committed to this now meant that all the serpents would be immediately starting these forms of training too.

Just knowing that meant there would be various others convinced that they needed to commit as well. It would not be a long time at all before a fully developed and concrete resistances to manas.
