Master Bai! This Celestial Fox Spirit Is Asking For Divorce
Chapter 135: Episode 12.2 Getting Equipment!

Chapter 135: Episode 12.2 Getting Equipment!

Tomorrow was the day when Shen Yuan would start his work in the Hunter Association.

According to what Xia Jinhai briefed him, Chairman Mao decided to put him in the entry-level position, the dungeon marshal job, because his first protection target was an active B-Class Hunter and a popular streamer. The old chairman said that it would enable him to move freely and undetected. Besides, considering his background, which is totally not in line with hunters, let alone agents, it’s only reasonable for him to start somewhere he can start learning the basics.

The celestial fox spirit is not someone challenging to reason with, especially when the explanation makes sense. Thus, he accepted it without raising a fuss.

However, he discovered at the very last minute that he was painfully unprepared to enter the dungeon. He missed something that is essential to all hunters and agents alike.

He’s missing his equipment and weapons!

Bai Tingfeng has had a vast collection of swords and armor since he was a swordsman. But the problem is that none of these fit Shen Yuan in any way. The armor and battle robes are relatively bigger on the shoulder area, making him look like he is wearing a poncho, and the swords are really not meant for him because each piece of it weighs more or less a hundred pounds.

"Holy— is this Thor’s freaking hammer?! How the hell are you swinging it around?!"

That is Shen Yuan’s genuine reaction when he tried to wield it. He initially intended to show off his prowess in holding long and sharp swords, but unfortunately for him, if he goes further from swinging it once, then he’s afraid that he will be unable to use his hand for other important and productive things— like handjobs.

In the end, he found his family of three boarding their car and driving to what Bai Tingfeng said was a suitable workshop that creates quality hunting equipment.

He really wanted to excuse himself from all the trouble because, in the first place, he’s overpowered in this world, so there’s not much of a need for him to equip himself with big weapons and all those unnecessary things that will only slow him down.

But will Bai Tingfeng let him be vulnerable when they have all the money to spend? Absolutely not. He even called his dad and father to convince him to shop.

Their car stopped in front of a massive circular building that was covered with intimidating white concrete pillars and reflective glass doors. Perched on top of the building, just directly above the revolving doors, Shen Yuan noticed a distinguishing logo of red, heated anvil with a blooming red rose on top of its flat surface.

Crimson Anvil says the word on top of the logo. It’s written in strong and energetic strokes, so it’s very impactful to anyone who sees it.

"This is a freaking workshop?" Shen Yuan asked his husband, mouth agape. This scale is comparable to a mall!

"With the wide array of types of hunters and their varying strengths, it’s only natural that workshops that cater to the needs are this big," Bai Tingfeng responded.

"Let’s go," Bai Tingfeng took the initiative to ready their son.

Yanyan, as well-behaved as he is, didn’t make a fuss and latched himself on his papa’s neck.

"We’re entering through the front entrance? Not in the car park entrance?" Shen Yuan asked confusedly. Stores of this scale usually have a car parking area on the side where there’s another entrance.

"Well, they do have a parking space on the right, but there’s only one accessible entrance and exit in this mall," Bai Tingfeng explained as he put a mini-face mask on Yanyan. It has cute drawings of the Bengal Tiger

"Comfortable?"

"Yes, Papa. It’s comfortable," Yanyan bobbed his head up and down.

Shen Yuan smilingly rubbed his son’s hair and commented to Bai Tingfeng. "That’s weird and doesn’t sound so safe to me."

"It’s for the sake of safekeeping, that’s why."

The family of three exited the car and left their car’s parking to Gu Jinpeng, who serves as today’s driver. Assistant Su didn’t come with them since Bai Tingfeng needed his assistant to do something for him.

Shen Yuan saw that there were a few people who were holding cameras in front of the mall. He doesn’t need to think hard to know what they’re doing. These people are paparazzi.

Now, he realized that aside from keeping their products safe from theft, this workshop is also profiting from the hype generated from popular clients that enter their establishments.

What a genius.

Shen Yuan made a simple hand wave to them in the spirit of goodwill and professionalism.

Their cameras flashed wildly as they scored multiple candid pictures of Shen Yuan. Of course, Bai Tingfeng is included. The only one that’s been hidden from the camera is Yanyan.

Shen Yuan and Bai Tingfeng remained firm in keeping their son’s face away from the public. Yanyan is too young to understand the consequences of having parents who are both public figures, and aside from that, this is also a precaution against their enemies.

Bai Tingfeng immediately guided him to the Magic Section located on the upper ground floor of the building. This was supposedly the place where magical types of equipment were stored and sold.

Everything in this part immediately caught the attention of Shen Yuan because he could feel the abundant mana in the air. He looked around in wonder, checking out the items that were mostly placed inside the crystal-like glass boxes.

The majority of what he sees are long, flowy wizard robes that have shiny mana stones placed in the center of the bosom. It comes with all sorts of designs and colors. Some have distinct styles, like the first robe he saw that’s embroidered to make it look like a peacock’s fan.

There are also some who are very simple and yet stylish.

"Wow! So beautiful!" Yanyan exclaimed, his eyes shining.

The celestial fox spirit was also in awe, seeing all these magical clothes that were supposedly real only in his imagination. But what impressed him significantly was that aside from being fashionable, they were guaranteed to offer a certain level of defense against the monsters!

Not that he needed the protection. His sights were more fixated on mana stones because he could slowly absorb them.

Even though he didn’t intend to, Shen Yuan couldn’t help but feel excited.

"I know. This is the first time Daddy saw something this beautiful and useful," Shen Yuan looked at his son. "Do you think Daddy will look good if I put these on?"

He pointed at the peacock robe.

Without thinking twice, Yanyan religiously expressed his support. "Yes, Daddy! You will certainly attract other people’s attention like a honey to the bees!"

Shen Yuan laughed heartily, "You have a way with your words, huh? That’s good!"

They went deeper into the Magic Section, where, this time, he saw some wands, staff, crystal balls, and other magical equipment that contained mana coming from the mana stone installed.

"Huh?!" Shen Yuan’s eyes instantly turned into hearts. These things are perfect if he needed to conserve his mana!

Bai Tingfeng saw the ecstatic face of his husband and dotingly smiled.

"Yuan, don’t set your eyes on certain equipment yet. There’s more you could choose from once we reach the private lounge."

Shen Yuan raised both of his brows and wondered, "Private lounge? Is it the same as private fittings?"

He could not ask that question because a tall, beautiful woman approached them with an amicable smile.

"Good morning, Mister Shen, Mister Bai, and the little master. I’m Luo Yi, your shop assistant. Your lounge is ready. Will you come with me, please?"

Shen Yuan doesn’t really want to act coy, but the shy smile on his face is simply uncontrollable. He experienced this VIP treatment before when his dad-in-law dragged them around to shop.

But he really can’t help himself but be flattered! Damn, having money is indeed the best!

Shen Yuan and his little family promptly followed.

The private lounge looked like a standard receiving area. But the notable thing that he noticed is that there’s a considerable space between the seats and the coffee table.

But nonetheless, It looks cozy with its beige color motif, and the subtle white light illuminated the room perfectly.

Bai Tingfeng and Shen Yuan sat on the long rectangular sofa side by side.

From his Papa, Yanyan crawled his way to his Daddy. Shen Yuan let the child settle on his thigh.

Meanwhile, Luo Yi pulled out some complimentary snacks and drinks for them.

Shen Yuan helped himself to a piece of croissant. That was when the door opened, and huge carts paraded in front of him. The items are quite a lot, so the celestial fox spirit couldn’t help but look at Bai Tingfeng.

"Isn’t this a little over the top?" He thought. Shen Yuan didn’t voice out that question because the original Shen Yuan was surely exposed to this kind of privilege.

"Mister Shen, here is the collection mage’s robe and other—" Shen Yuan’s shop assistant immediately worked hard and explained the items.

However, before she continued her job, the door flung open.

"Wait! I heard Shen Yuan is here. Where is he? I’ve been waiting for him since forever!"
