Master Bai! This Celestial Fox Spirit Is Asking For Divorce -
Chapter 113: Episode 10.3 Ballistic
Chapter 113: Episode 10.3 Ballistic
If there’s someone who knows well that the presence of mana guarantees the strengthening of one’s power, then it should be the one and only celestial fox spirit.
Shen Yuan must admit that although this world has lesser mana and spiritual energy than the spirit realm, it is denser and more abundant than the one he experienced in his previous world.
It is more than enough for him to strengthen his body and powers because he can cultivate and absorb mana at will—a perk of being a fox spirit.
But for humans, this was obviously impossible, given their apparent limitations. They are born to absorb minimal amounts of energy.
And it didn’t even help that mana in the atmosphere was too thin for them.
If they only rely on this, then it’s impossible for them to become stronger.
That’s why exposure treatments such as entering dungeons where the energy is dense enough to absorb mana and taking mana-enhancing supplements are popular with hunters and aspiring hunters worldwide.
This is their human way of absorbing mana.
"But what if the world "resets" just like what you hope for and becomes dense with mana? What would be the implications of merging the dungeons and this world aside from your theory that humans will have a qualitative leap in terms of power?" Shen Yuan said after taking a deep breath.
He didn’t ask because he doesn’t know. He’s asking to know how deep this asshole understands the consequences of their so-called dream. Because obviously, everyone with this asshole is playing god.
Honestly, it is quite an eyesore for a celestial being and demon spirit like him.
Haichong laughed through his labored breath, "Chaos and destruction are needed to constitute change. We need to flip the world’s order upside down if we want to create a better and stronger world."
"And me and my son are the key to making that happen?"
"A-as far as I know, yes."
"What a very lofty ambition."
Shen Yuan looked at Haichong coldly. He couldn’t see a suffering victim of torture when his eyes landed on this beta. All he could think of was that it was a pity he couldn’t kill him for now.
Destroying the world’s natural order? And using them as a material for catastrophe? Hell, if he would have let that happen.
He’s got a family he needs to protect now.
"Then this Tailed Guardian, how will you summon him using us? And what kind of promising being is he?"
Haichong was in a daze for a moment until he recited some kind of passage in a dazed state. He listened without putting much thought into it at first, but as Haichong went on, a clear, familiar image started to form in his mind.
"A being that is one with the gods and the sacred beings but not like them. He who sits in heaven on velvety clouds of wisdom and time could bend the rules of the world at the expense of his transcendence. The Hu—urk!"
"You fucking dare!" Grabbing the man by the throat, Shen Yuan’s roar thundered inside the room.
It was so powerful that it created a wave of vibration on the ground and wall of the interrogation room.
"Shen Yuan? What is going on?" Chairman Mao spoke through the microphone. Even they felt this sudden burst.
Bai Tingfeng looked at his husband, a dreadful feeling crawling in his chest.
Just a while ago, Shen Yuan was still calm and collected. But that is only until Gao Qiang finished describing this Tailed Guardian.
Why?
Bai Tingfeng saw the black pupil in the middle of Shen Yuan’s cold blue irises turned into vertical slits. The same look Shen Yuan had when he beat Haichong for the first time for trying to harm their child.
"Chairman Mao. I’m going in. If I don’t, Haichong, I mean Gao Qiang, will end up in the mortuary five minutes from now," Bai Tingfeng said.
On the other hand, Shen Yuan is filled with uncontrollable rage.
It didn’t take a genius to get the complete picture of what Haichong, the son of a bitch beta, described the Tailed Guardian to be.
A being that ranks with the gods and sacred beings but is fundamentally different from them is a demon spirit who ascended to the heavens.
And the cottony clouds of wisdom and time are just a metaphor for his precious nine-tails!
"I see, so it was all your fucking work, huh!" Shen Yuan growled as his grip over the beta’s neck tightened.
"I don’t under- urk! I can’t hear you—" Because of the lack of oxygen, Haichong’s ears are ringing so badly that it felt like his head was bursting.
The villain’s face is a bit black and blue due to asphyxia, but Shen Yuan doesn’t show mercy.
This asshole and his beloved band of terrorists is probably the reason why he was here!
If he were to base what this man said and the things that he knows as fox spirit, then it isn’t hard to conclude that these people killed the original Shen Yuan just so he could summon him— the celestial fox spirit, or should he say Haichong’s Tailed Guardian—and make him occupy Shen Yuan’s vessel.
And once they thought they had failed, they carelessly set their sights on a child to unalive and be a perfect vessel for a celestial fox spirit like him!
"And for what? So that they could alter this world to their preference? What kind of fucked up logic is that?" Shen Yuan thought, and like a fire that’s very easy to spread, his anger seeped into his system.
Even the most evil kind of fox spirit never possessed a child’s body.
He really wants to know what kind of mojo they did to summon him in this world.
"But it was your mistake to mess with the wrong fox spirit. You think just calling a heavenly fox spirit would automatically make your dreams come true? You guys are bound to a bloodbath," Shen Yuan thought.
"Argh! Stop! I can’t breathe!" Haichong desperately tried to speak his way out of Shen Yuan’s death choke.
But Shen Yuan didn’t dare to be kind, especially now that he knew that Haichong and his merry group of terrorists didn’t think twice about harming a child like his son, Yanyan.
"You can’t breathe? Well, that’s because I meant to kill you, asshole," Shen Yuan said. He manipulated his power and simultaneously created a pure white orb of Heavenly Foxfire and his Divine Demon Spirit Lightning.
They swirled teasingly around the two of them, ready to be utilized as weapons.
Gao Qiang, or as Shen Yuan kindly calls him, Haichong, is internally panicking. He tried to get out of that excessive hold but to no avail.
"It was nice talking to you, but I’m sorry. You’ll never get to see the world you’re envisioning with your twisted friends," Shen Yuan said, and he was about to throw some of the lethal orbs at Haichong when, suddenly, he felt someone holding him in the waist.
The hand was big, hard, and very familiar to his touch.
"Yuan, breathe for a moment. You’re losing yourself to the anger. Yanyan wouldn’t like it if you would have trouble because of it," Bai Tingfeng’s masculine voice whispered in his ear.
It acted like a charm or a magic spell. Shen Yuan’s angry and vertical pupils have returned to their natural round eyes.
Finally, he calmed down.
"Let him go, Yuan. Chairman Mao has been looking at you since earlier, so it must mean he is evaluating you. You lose your control. You would lose your chance in the future to interrogate those masterminds behind this mess."
Bai Tingfeng’s voice was laced with thick and obvious concern.
"Fuck!" Shen Yuan cursed and threw Haichong like a doll.
Multiple puncture wounds on both arms, was strangled and left with purple-blue marks on his neck, and now thrown to the ground unconscious. That is the final ending of Haichong after his lengthy, painful interrogation.
Shen Yuan doesn’t seem to mind the sorry state of the man since his expression tells that he’s got a more significant and more complicated concern.
Xia Jinhai was quick to his feet and already sent the guards to take Gao Qiang. And as for Mo Zhu, he had already stood up from the corner he had thrown himself in. Chairman Mao instructed him to treat the wounds of their detainee so he would accomplish this task dutifully.
For now, he made sure not to let his eyes stray to Shen Yuan.
His impression of this fellow omega changed drastically.
The same goes for everyone in this room. Everything that happened inside the corners of this room was a testament that they should never provoke Shen Yuan.
"Did you get hurt?" Bai Tingfeng asked, but he was already checking Shen Yuan’s hands covered with gloves.
Oddly this time, Yuan’s head is completely clear now, "No, I’m okay, Tingfeng. And thank you for knocking some sense in me back there."
"Well, you should really be thankful, Yuan." Chairman Mao suddenly interrupted.
"Would you care to explain what happened back there? It’s going well. Why did you suddenly go ballistic?"
