Chapter 112: Episode 10.2 Divine Demon Spirit Lightning

Shen Yuan really took his sweet time to plant most of the chopsticks, seeing how they almost occupied Haichong’s arms.

"How disappointing, Haichong. For someone who took pleasure in claiming lives, you sure don’t value yours." Shen Yuan used two of the still unused chopsticks to pick up a piece of tofu on the table and shoved it into the panting beta.

"Here. Eat some. We aren’t done yet until you don’t tell me what I wanted to hear from you."

With his two arms completely incapacitated, Haichong was significantly too weak to resist, so he didn’t have a choice but to swallow the tofu.

"Bet you think that it’s best if you choke on the tofu, right? Pity, this white cube isn’t a choking hazard." Shen Yuan said. He grabbed a bottle of water and graciously poured Haichong a drink.

However, the beta really doesn’t know how to take a break, as after Shen Yuan puts the liquid in Haichong’s mouth, he spits all of it directly on the kind fox’s face.

"You fucking, dumb human being..." Shen Yuan said as his face was completely dark.

His eyes turned cold blue, and the mana around him became erratic, so the air seemed boiling.

Everyone who could feel this massive anomaly knows that Shen Yuan lost his cool.

Should I just kill this asshole? These thoughts filled his head like floating clouds, almost covering his logical side.

"Stay calm, Shen Yuan. That guy just wanted you to kill him. Remember the reason why you’re there," The voice of Bai Tingfeng suddenly sounded from the speaker inside the room.

This made the celestial fox spirit’s head, which was initially hot and angry, calm down.

He threw a look at the mirror where he knew Bai Tingfeng must be looking at him.

Knowing that Bai Tingfeng was there looking out for him acted like a charm that cleared his head.

He doesn’t know if Bai Tingfeng have a power to influence him like this. But it felt good and reassuring. He likes it.

Now calm and collected, Shen Yuan took a deep breath and looked at Haichong unkindly, "You just made your life more miserable."

This guy is really an asshole who took pride in being a strong awakener. Now he could finally see why, despite getting flamed by his Heavenly Foxfire, his sanity stayed intact.

He’s not just a small-time villain like Zhou Kai. He’s a festering menace.

And for a person like this, he needs to give some special care.

"I didn’t intend to use this fresh power from my arsenal, but it seems like you’re really eager for some serious pain."

Shen Yuan spread his white and fluffy fox tails. Then, all of the strands of his fur started showing some fine forks of golden lightning. Slowly but surely, it compressed into tiny golden orbs that started floating around Shen Yuan.

This is his celestial power that’s considered the baby of Heavenly Foxfire since it’s a delicate and complicated application of his foxfire.

It calls forth greater control from him, making it the reason why it came later than his Heavenly Foxfire.

"Be happy because you’re the first human to taste my Divine Demon Spirit Lightning."

Haichong didn’t have time to speak another bullshit, and the golden orbs landed on the tip of the stainless chopsticks.

It acted like a lightning rod that served as a bridge for the lightning to crawl underneath Haichong’s flesh. If chili sauce from Mapo Tofu stings, then this is absolutely cooking him from the inside.

"Arrgghhhhh!!! Don’t! Shen Yuaaaaan!" An even more intense wail broke from the villain.

"Shit...bleurgh," Gu Jinpeng couldn’t stop himself from puking as the nightmarish memories of getting electrocuted by Shen Yuan came back.

Now, he felt lucky that Shen Yuan used his skin to receive the electricity and not his flesh.

"Since you’re not appreciative of rest. We’ll spend every minute together having fun. Every thirty seconds, these lightning orbs will fall on one of your chopsticks, literally shocking you to the core. Then, once that passes, I’ll give you thirty seconds to speak and spit out your organization’s secrets. Don’t talk, then back to the first sequence— another thirty minutes of body shake. Understood?"

"Haaah! Haaaah!" Haichong could only gasping for air.

"Now, I’ll take that as a yes," Shen Yuan said and used his timer using his phone. He made sure that he placed it in front of the villain’s face.

Humans are visual beings. They wouldn’t feel any sense of urgency if they couldn’t see what they would be losing.

"Talk or don’t talk?" Shen Yuan asked ten seconds before Haichong ran out of time to confess.

But the guy still closed his mouth.

So, the cycle happened again.

Thirty seconds of getting his entire body and flesh electrocuted, and after that, confession time again.

Haichong remained adamant for at least more than fifteen minutes. Only screaming and writhing in pain.

If bloodshed was a concern earlier, then now. It wouldn’t be because the flesh around the impaled stainless steel chopsticks is dark and burned. Looking as if the metal was welded into the skin and flesh.

In fact, Chairman Mao and the others kind of admired this tenacity because despite being subjected to such horrible torture, he still gritted his teeth.

But this only lasted until Haichong finally understood that Shen Yuan would not stop until he finally said the reason why his organization hunts them.

At first, he just prayed that it would only last until Shen Yuan’s mana ran out, but he was wrong. Completely wrong.

Fifteen minutes into the stalemate, Shen Yuan didn’t show any signs of power fatigue, and Haichong, on the other hand, seemed like he was about to croak.

He’s got a bleak future if he keeps this up.

Forget about dying. The pain that is spreading makes him feel so alive that it makes him impossible to even think of killing himself.

"Arrghhh! Please! Please! Stop this!" Haichong screamed desperately.

It was thirty seconds of confession, so Shen Yuan gave him the time to talk.

"I’ll tell y-you what I know, Shen Yuan. So, please! Fucking stop!"

"Speak," Shen Yuan said. He used the floating orbs of golden lightning and let them hover before Haichong’s face.

Now, finally frightened, Haichong desperately blurted out the answer, "T-the Tailed Guardian! We are chasing a-after the descendants of the Tailed Guardian to summon him!"

"Tailed Guardian?" Shen Yuan asked with his brows perked up. He has no idea what this term points at, but strangely, he feels like it is oddly close to him.

"And why would you want to summon him?"

"Be-because we want our wish to be granted," Haichong said. He’s stuttering because of pain, but his eyes reflect mad fanaticism.

"We want this world to reset. We want the dungeons to merge with our world. That way, mana, and other foreign energy would become natural on our planet. Once that happens, we would become even stronger as an awakened."
