Chapter 339: 339 You Call That Studying?

At Kamar-Taj, Kagura’s top priority was to train Stephen Strange under the Ancient One’s instructions, helping that arrogant neurosurgeon quickly master dimensional mysticism and eventually succeed the mantle of Sorcerer Supreme.

According to Kamar-Taj’s daily routine, the morning was reserved for meditation and theoretical Q&A.

In other words, if Kagura wanted to beat up Stephen Strange again, she’d have to wait until the afternoon’s practical magic training.

But honestly, that was just fine with her.

It gave her some free time to dive deeper into the study of dimensional mysticism—laying the foundation for the future she envisioned.

That’s right.

The world may never be perfect.

But I can make it perfect. I can shape it into what I want it to be.

Kamar-Taj – Dormitory

’Thud!’

Kagura dropped a heavy stack of books onto the desk in her room, then activated the communication line to New York.

"Cortana, you there? Wakey-wakey! Time to work!"

A slightly annoyed voice answered almost instantly from the comms, "Master, I don’t sleep in. I’m always on standby. Unlike you, who’s always oversleeping."

"Ehehe~!" Kagura threw in a practiced cutesy voice.

"Cortana, I’ve got a pile of theory books on dimensional mysticism here. Think we can use remote data transmission and have the quantum computer VEDA break them down?"

"Command acknowledged, Master," Cortana replied. "Connecting to VEDA. Language parsing engine activated. I’ll link to the human internet for real-time translation and content analysis."

Reading can be enjoyable.

But truth be told, it’s an incredibly inefficient way to absorb information.

Among all the ways humans acquire knowledge, reading is far from the most effective.

Add in the brain’s tendency to forget things over time, and it’s easy to see the flaws.

Stephen Strange stood out in this area only because of his photographic memory.

He could absorb knowledge at an astonishing pace, mastering dimensional theory rapidly.

But for Kagura, who didn’t have that kind of gift, she had to find another way—one that was way more efficient.

"Master, all textual data has been successfully parsed. The files have been uploaded to the Rhodes Island Industries cloud server," Cortana reported shortly after.

"Shall I initiate the data transfer now?"

"Yep. Reading might be fun, but we’re on a schedule," Kagura muttered to herself. "Activating ’White Moon’ combat suit. Memory sync mode—online. Begin data transfer!"

Her research into her own body had paid off.

Though the results confirmed that her automaton body was light-years—maybe even ten thousand years—ahead of current Earth technology, she’d still managed to discover a few critical features worth exploiting.

One of them was the Neural Memory Interface.

Just like how the ’White Moon’ suit could recharge her core energy, she had adapted similar tech to work with her neural systems—eventually syncing it with her core’s infinite-concept skill architecture.

In short, Kagura could now directly inject data into her brain—bypassing conventional methods like basic electronic hacking skills.

And because this was direct transmission, any data fed into her brain could be immediately translated into real knowledge and skills—not just meaningless junk code taking up space.

’That’s right!’

Kagura had achieved the dream of every student on the planet—

Direct Brain Sync and Data Transfer!

With this gloriously brute-force approach, plus VEDA’s quantum computing analysis.

She could now master even the most complex or obscure knowledge at an efficiency no ordinary human could ever hope to reach.

[External Data Transfer Complete]

[Core Energy Recalibrated]

[Knowledge and Skill Sync Complete]

Lines of data flickered across the holographic UI in her vision.

Kagura immediately felt her grasp of dimensional mysticism deepen exponentially.

The massive stack of books she borrowed from Wong just ten minutes ago?

Now completely internalized.

And this wasn’t just surface-level understanding—this was precision-level data comprehension, without any risk of forgetting.

True mastery, stored directly in her mind.

"All right, next up..."

Kagura glanced at the clock on her wall.

Only 8:00 a.m....

’At this rate, I can probably make seven or eight more trips before noon.’

Perfect!

Time to empty out the sorcerers’ library!

Operation Clean Sweep: Library Takeover — Start!

Kagura, charge!!

— Ten Minutes Later, Kamar-Taj Library —

Wong: "..."

Kagura: "???"

Their eyes met.

The atmosphere turned...awkward. Uncomfortably silent, as if even the air was holding its breath.

Wong finally broke the silence, his voice laced with disbelief. "You... finished reading them?"

"All of them?" he added, eyes narrowing in suspicion. "Every single one?"

Kagura blinked innocently, her tone cheerful. "Yup! Read them all! Understood everything too! Pretty amazing, right?"

"You’re amazing, my ass!" Wong slammed the desk, clearly not amused.

"Kagura, are you messing with me?! That was thirteen books! In Sanskrit! Ancient Hindi! Latin! Classical dialects! Dimensional sorcery texts!"

"Mhm, I know!" Kagura tilted her head and flashed another adorable smile. "I read them all, and I totally get them now!"

"I don’t believe it! That’s complete nonsense!" Wong shook his head firmly.

"No one could possibly read all that in such a short time! I told you already—dimensional sorcery is a vast and intricate field. You have to study it seriously!"

"Sigh..." Kagura let out an exaggerated breath. "I have a special reading technique, okay? I really did read it all!"

She looked up at him, meeting his suspicious glare head-on.

"How about this—ask me anything from those books. Your choice."

"Tch. I was going to do that anyway." Wong grumbled as he flipped open one of the books on the table and landed right in the middle, picking out a particularly obscure and complicated question...

— Ten Minutes Later —

Wong: "..."

Kagura: "???"

Wong stared at her in utter disbelief.

"How... how did you know that?"

"Told you!" Kagura rocked back on her heels with her hands behind her back. "Special technique, remember? Sooo, can I borrow more books now?"

"This... this defies logic!" Wong roared.

Kagura smiled sweetly. "Dimensional sorcery isn’t logical, is it? You have to see the world from a different perspective, right?"

Wong groaned. "...Fine. Come with me."

This time, he brought her even more books—heavier, thicker, and far more advanced texts on dimensional sorcery.

As he selected them, he deliberately picked out the most obscure, the most notoriously dense books in the entire library.

These were tomes that even most masters avoided. In Wong’s mind, outside of the Ancient One and a rare few others, no one had truly grasped their contents.

"Alright, if you finish these, you’ll have basically mastered all the theory behind dimensional sorcery."

Minutes later, he placed the towering stack on the table and pointed sternly.

"Study these carefully. I’ll be testing you when you return. If you can’t answer even one question—no more books. Ever."

"Got it. Thank you so much!" Kagura beamed, completely unfazed, and skipped off happily with the books in her arms.

"Whew..." Wong wiped the sweat from his brow, muttering to himself as he watched her leave.

"Are all kids these days monsters...?"

— Thirty Minutes Later, Kamar-Taj Library —

Wong stared blankly across the table.

Kagura was back.

With all the books.

"??????????"
