Chapter 6283: Journey
Chu Feng told the crowd about what had happened earlier.
“What else is there to t-t-talk about? Let’s go!” Wang Qiang exclaimed.
“It’s no problem for me and my little sister, right?” Xianhai Shaoyu glanced at Little Fishy as he asked.
“Of course! Big brother’s business is my business,” Little Fishy replied with a radiant smile. Rather than feeling conflicted, she looked forward to spending more time with Chu Feng.
“Thank you.” Long Chengyu and Long Muxi bowed to Chu Feng and the others.
The Totem Dragon Clansmen bowed deeply to Chu Feng and the others, too. They knew that Chu Feng and the others could have stayed out of this matter, and they had only gotten involved to save them.
“But w-w-where are we going?” Wang Qiang asked.
As soon as he said those words, his surroundings suddenly warped.
Chu Feng and the others vanished into thin air.
The Totem Dragon Clansmen weren't surprised, knowing that their Lord Ancestral Dragon must have been behind this. However, they felt conflicted. Even though they had suspected that Long Chengyu and Long Muxi’s conditions were related to the ancestral dragon, they hadn’t expected the ancestral dragon to be truly alive.
Everything had happened so fast that they needed some time to digest the situation. However, their greatest concern was still the safety of Chu Feng and the others.
It was likely for a request from the ancestral dragon to be anything but simple.
...
A powerful force dragged Wang Qiang away from the ground. By the time he regained his balance, he was already traveling amid the clouds at an unbelievable speed.
Chu Feng, Long Chengyu, Long Muxi, Little Fishy, and Xianhai Shaoyu were with him, but there was also an unfamiliar figure. It was a red-haired woman.
The red-haired woman had concealed her face behind a veil, possibly because she didn’t want Wang Qiang and the others to see her face. Nevertheless, her curvaceous figure was still open for all to see.
“T-t-the heck! Where did this beauty c-c-come from!” Wang Qiang exclaimed in excitement. He turned to Long Chengyu and Long Muxi. “Is she your Lord Ancestral Dragon?”
Long Chengyu and Long Muxi turned to Chu Feng. They had never met their ancestral dragon before.
“Stop calling me Lord Ancestral Dragon. I have no ties with the Totem Dragon Clan. If you want, you can call me Lord Long,” the red-haired woman said.
“Paying respect to Lord Long.” Long Chengyu, Long Muxi, Xianhai Shaoyu, Little Fishy, and Chu Feng simultaneously bowed to her.
“Little brother, why are you calling me lord? Call me big sister,” the red-haired woman told Chu Feng with a smile.
“Big sister?” Wang Qiang’s mouth fell agape as his gaze alternated between Chu Feng and the red-haired woman.
Long Chengyu and Long Muxi also stared at Chu Feng in shock.
That was their Lord Ancestral Dragon, a figure whom they revered! How did their good friend become her younger brother?
“It just happened,” Chu Feng replied with an awkward smile. Those present are my brothers, but Long Zhuoyan suddenly acknowledged me as her little brother. This messes up the relationship.
Wang Qiang turned to the red-haired woman with yearning eyes. “Lord Long, I-I-I am brothers with Chu Feng. If he calls your big sister, s-s-shouldn’t I...”
“Don’t bother. I acknowledge little brothers not just based on their strength but their appearances too,” the red-haired woman pointed out.
“Appearances? Am I not dashing enough?” Wang Qiang confidently pointed at his own face.
“Do I look blind to you?” the red-haired woman scoffed.
Wang Qiang directed pleading eyes at Long Chengyu, Little Fishy, and the others in hopes that they could put in a good word for him, but they averted their eyes, not wanting to get involved.
“Cough cough!” Wang Qiang awkwardly coughed before looking back at the red-haired woman with a smile. “Big sister, my appearance is more of the type that slowly grows on you.”
“I don’t have the patience for that,” the red-haired woman curtly cut him off. She walked up to Little Fishy and propped up the latter’s chin. “You, however, look rather pleasing. Are you willing to be my little sister?”
“Yes, I’m willing.”
Little Fishy’s immediate answer caught the red-haired woman by surprise.
Chu Feng’s heart lurched. What if that red-haired woman coerces Little Fishy to swallow that gu?
“Good. I have another little sister now.” The red-haired woman patted Little Fishy’s head with a smile.
“Great! I have another beautiful big sister!” Little Fishy replied with a beaming smile. She was so adorable that it was hard not to be fond of her.
While others were looking elsewhere, she glanced at Chu Feng. She had quickly accepted the offer because she thought it wouldn’t be bad to have the same big sister as Chu Feng.
The red-haired woman didn’t extend the offer to anyone else after Little Fishy. This made the others feel a little awkward. They were all prodigies here, but the red-haired woman’s actions made it clear that Chu Feng and Little Fishy were the only ones who caught her eye.
It was one thing for Long Chengyu and Long Muxi to be overlooked, but even Xianhai Shaoyu was ignored.
Xianhai Shaoyu didn’t seem bothered by this matter. He was even smiling brightly as he was happy for Little Fishy.
“I bet she is g-g-gorgeous. Brother, how are y-y-you so lucky?” Wang Qiang sent an envious voice transmission to Chu Feng.
“What nonsense are you spouting? That’s an elder from the Ancient Era,” Chu Feng replied via voice transmission too.
“Age is n-n-nothing compared to appearance! Look at her f-f-figure! Wew!” Wang Qiang gulped his saliva halfway through his voice transmission.
“What are you thinking?” Chu Feng was rendered speechless.
Wang Qiang suddenly turned to look at Chu Feng. “You have changed.”
“How have I changed?” Chu Feng was confused.
“You aren’t like a man anymore.”
Chu Feng was about to refute those words when Wang Qiang pushed on, “It’s a m-m-man’s nature to fall in love with fair maidens that crosses his path. You have strayed. Only I, Wang Qiang, remain s-s-steadfast to my core.”
Chu Feng was even more speechless. You’re just a pervert. Don’t make yourself sound so upright and principled.
Suddenly, the red-haired woman asked, “Have any of you never entered a remnant that restricts access to only juniors?”
Chu Feng and the others’ gazes turned serious. They were finally going to talk business.
“Big sister, we have all been to such remnants before,” Chu Feng replied.
“Good. The place we’re heading to has six trials, and only one person can challenge each trial. What I need you to do is to clear all the trials. You are free to keep whatever benefits you obtain from the remnant; I don’t need them,” the red-haired woman said.
Her words left Chu Feng and the others excited but confused. They were excited to be able to keep the rewards, but they were confused because they thought the red-haired woman wanted them to breach the remnant to claim the rewards for herself.
Could there be other rewards after the remnant was breached?
But Chu Feng and the others didn’t probe into it. They were here to help the red-haired woman anyway, so they just had to do as they were told.
The cloud transporting them soon entered a teleportation passageway. They moved so quickly that not even Chu Feng had any clue where they were heading to.
After filling them in on the situation, the red-haired woman sat down and cultivated.
Seeing that, Chu Feng and the others sat down and cultivated as well instead of engaging in idle chatter. Even Wang Qiang followed suit.
Chu Feng wasn’t exactly cultivating. He was tempering the black metal fused inside his body. He wanted to finish forging his Bloodline Soul Puppet as soon as possible.
