Martial Arts Worlds -
Chapter 492 - 492: Hospital Massacre
Zachary opened his eyes—they had turned purple, and he then removed the blanket—his body had become small and malnourished, but it suddenly started to regain its muscle mass.
He was getting bigger and bigger.
"Ahh…"
He let out a sigh of relief.
The pain had disappeared, and he was feeling better than ever—the dark purple soul inside his body was rejuvenating him.
"What's going on…"
Zachary sat on the edge of the bed, looked at the wall with the wires popping out of his body, and then looked at the beeping machine.
Beep! Beep! Beep!
"…"
He turned around, looked at the television, and saw that it was currently showing news—the news, of course, talked about the Junior Martial Arts Championship.
And since it was New Rakuya's news that was showing, they were, of course, talking about Kiernan and were praising him like never before.
Zachary's purple eyes narrowed as he watched—the muscles tightened, and the wires popped out of his body—the beeping machine flatlined.
He stood up, the floor barely able to hold his weight, and then he clenched his fist—then unclenched and clenched again.
The power, unlike anything he'd seen before, was running down his veins.
"I don't know what happened, but this power is coursing through me. I have somehow reached Martial Grandmaster…
"Hahaha, I like this."
Zachary grinned hideously.
…
In the lounge of the hospital, a couple of nurses noticed on the computer screen that one of the patients had flatlined.
"It's Zachary Lokiah again."
The nurse said with a frown.
"Is something going on?"
Hearing the beeping of the computer, a white-coated doctor walked to the desk, hands inside the pockets of the coat, and the nurses beamed with smiles.
"It's Zachary Lokiah again. It is the second time this has happened to him today. I suppose he just woke up from his sedated state and took off the wires from his body again."
The nurse said.
"Hmm, I'd prefer not to bind him to the bed, but unless he keeps doing it, then there is no other choice."
The doctor said.
"Well, he is a to-be-convicted criminal, and once he doesn't need medical care anymore, he will be judged in front of the Grand Judge and will spend a large portion of his life in prison.
"No one will think badly of you if you decide to treat him like the criminal he is."
The nurse said.
"Yes, that's true, but he does not have a martial soul anymore. He is as dangerous as a crippled kitten now, and even if he tried, he would also be unable to escape the hospital.
"Let's go talk to Zachary, and if it sounds like he is planning to keep doing it, we might not have any other choice."
The doctor said and headed down the hallway with the couple of nurses—they soon arrived at the hospital room and opened the door.
"Mister Lokiah…"
The doctor walked in, looked to the bed, and saw that it was empty—before his eyes could even widen, a large hand suddenly grabbed his face and smashed it into the concrete wall.
SPURT!
The doctor's head imploded on impact, and brain matter splattered across the white walls, coloring them crimson like a gruesome work of art.
"Aaaaaaaaah!"
The nurses screamed in horror.
"Heh, was it you bitches who sedated me?"
Zachary turned to them, and then, with a grin on his face, pulled them into the room and closed the door.
Screams, soon turning into muffled screams, reverberated throughout the hospital room—they weren't heard by anyone else on the floor.
A little bit later, the door opened, and Zachary walked out in his hospital gown, which had become too small for him.
It was barely holding itself together as it tightened around his muscular body that seemed to just keep getting bigger.
He turned back to the hospital room, three unrecognizable corpses strewn across the floors and blood splattered everywhere—he then closed the door.
"Hey, what are you doing out of your bed?"
A male nurse walked over after finishing his inspections of another patient and just happened to see Zachary standing in the hallway.
However, his mouth fell open in shock as he saw Zachary standing so tall that his head was grazing the ceiling.
He wasn't this tall as he remembered checking him out yesterday—if he was, the hospital bed wouldn't be nearly big enough for him!
"U-uh… Why don't you go back to your bed?"
"My room is messy… I might've made a little mess. Can you perhaps tell someone to clean it up?"
Zachary asked.
"A mess…? What did you do this time around?"
The male nurse clicked his tongue, walked over to the room, and opened the door—the stench of iron hit his nose like a brick wall.
"A-a-ah…"
"Yes, I am really sorry…"
Zachary grabbed the back of the male nurse's head and smiled—with a simple squeeze, he crushed his head like a grape.
He tossed his lifeless corpse inside, closed the door, and headed down the stairs to the front lounge.
It had people moving along, and they saw him—the hospital gown with a few dots of blood stood out.
"I-Is that blood?"
"He is so tall…"
"W-wait, isn't he Zachary Lokiah? Is he escaping the hospital?"
Zachary, with a smile on his face, walked out of the hospital and just stood outside, closing his eyes as he enjoyed the breezy wind and the feeling of sun touching his face.
Everyone outside looked at him strangely and avoided him like the plague—they circled around him and either left the hospital or entered.
A taxi was parked in front of him, and Zachary just swung the door open and entered the back seat—he had to hunch over to avoid hitting his head on the roof.
"Where… to?"
The taxi driver asked as he looked from the front mirror to Zachary—he was wondering whether the car could handle his weight.
"Irio, please."
Zachary said with a smile.
"Irio? I am not going all the way there. This is a local taxi. I can take you to the airport if you wish so."
The driver said.
"Haah…"
Zachary leaned to the front seat and pressed his finger against the throat of the taxi driver.
"You'll take me to Irio, or I will stab this finger through your throat."
"Gulp!"
The taxi driver gulped loudly, shifted the car into drive, and began heading towards Irio.
