Martial Arts Worlds
Chapter 489 - 489: Not Done Yet

"Argh!"

"Huff!"

Sun and Seo grabbed the back of Kiernan's jersey, trying to drag him down to the ground, but he suddenly shifted his weight and broke free.

"This…"

Sun gritted his teeth and tackled at Kiernan—he stopped—and the tackle missed.

"Hmph!"

Seo leaped off the ground and kicked Kiernan in his forearm—the kick had enough strength to push him backwards—and Kiernan grunted in pain.

The pain shot up his arm.

'I can't keep defending against these two. They have the superiority of martial rank and enough physical prowess to break my body in pieces!'

Void Step!

Kiernan vanished from the spot in the blink of an eye and appeared a distance away—in the eyes of most representatives, it looked like he just teleported!

However, Sun and Seo caught back up to him in an instant—they appeared on his left and right—and grabbed onto his arms.

'Even my Void Step is not enough to shake them off? They're able to react fast enough to counteract the effects of Void Step!'

Kiernan thought in a shock and started to finally understand the endless depth of this world's martial arts talent.

The Junior Martial Arts Championship happened every four years—there were talents of the same level as these two participating in each one of them—some maybe even greater talents.

'I see now. I understand why the general managers of the World Fighting League were not impressed by me.

'I am not special.

'However, I will become one!'

Kiernan shook off Sun and Seo—then he turned around and kicked them towards their temples—they guarded both in the face.

"Sun Jupiter and Seo Donghae are currently tied for first place—thus, they want that ball at any means necessary, as getting that ball means that they will win the first event.

"However, a surprising wild card appeared that is not giving the ball away so easily. Only thirty seconds remaining till the end of the event!"

The commentator's voice echoed out of the stadium's speakers and into the ears of the spectators.

"Give us the damn ball!"

Sun shouted, but Kiernan blocked him with his body and then made sure that Seo's hands didn't quite reach the ball.

At that moment, the three hundred representatives surrounded them with hungry looks in their eyes and charged at them with a murderous intent.

Every single one of them wanted to touch the ball even for one more second!

"Iron Style, Earthquake!"

Kiernan stomped his foot on the ground, and the grass field below them started shaking violently—it was as if a giant was stomping his feet down somewhere nearby.

"Iron Style, Crack!"

With a sharp angle, Kiernan stomped his feet diagonally down to the ground and split the earth beneath them in two.

It started splitting open like a book, revealing a dark abyss below, and the representatives ran away in a hurry.

The stadium's secret basement opened in front of them—there were tunnels leading in different directions, each one darker and more ominous than the last.

It also had "floors" of sorts—some floors having a city like the one used in the showmatch, while some others were covered in thick vegetation and overgrown with wildlife.

It was a shocking sight to some lower-tiered representatives, but to those of higher tiers, something like this was a common occurrence!

"You think we're impressed? You wish!"

Sun rammed his fist into Kiernan's chest and sent him flying back like a cannon—he smashed through hordes of people, plowing them over like bowling pins.

He then took flight and chased after Kiernan—but he was already back on his feet, shrugging off the feet, and moved into his defensive stance.

"Haaaaaaa!"

Sun put his fist in front of him and flew straight at Kiernan, but his hands came out of nowhere, smacked his fist away, and then grabbed Sun from his collar before smashing him down to the ground.

BOOM!

Kiernan reeled back his fist, wanting to finish him off, but then something moved behind him—he turned around and quickly blocked Zeus' fist.

"Give the ball, you bastard!"

Zeus kicked at Kiernan's hand, made him lose the hold on the ball, and it flew straight up into the air, spinning wildly.

"Tch!"

Kiernan clicked his tongue in annoyance.

"Mine, haha!"

Zeus jumped towards the ball, but then Kiernan grabbed his leg and smashed him back to the ground.

THUD!

"Urgh!"

Zeus coughed in pain, rolled back around, and flipped back to his feet—the pain meant nothing to him—and he punched at Kiernan.

The punch was so fast that Kiernan didn't even have time to blink, and the fist connected with his jaw, sending him flying across the field.

Nightingale, Abracadabra Castle.

"Yes, that's good!"

Karl-Michael nodded his head with approval.

"…"

Nevaeh slowly combed the hair of her baby with her hand while looking at the screen, and she felt very conflicted.

She didn't want her child to fight against the child of her little sister—but here they were—enemies.

She looked over to Bella and saw her stand calmly—there was a dangerous calm in her eyes.

Kiernan rolled around in the air, landed back on the ground, and watched the ball slowly head back down—the timer was down to 10 seconds.

"No… I am not done yet!"

Kiernan void stepped forward, dashed past the other representatives who didn't even see him go, and jumped towards the ball.

Zeus' hand neared the ball, but at that moment, he looked ahead and saw Kiernan jump towards him.

"You just don't give up, huh? Then die!"

Zeus' fist crackled with lightning, and he launched a powerful punch at Kiernan—it was a punch that was used to defeat most of his peers back in Nightingale.

All of them came to fear the "Lightning God, Zeus Abracadabra," and so did his fellow siblings and relatives.

"Iron Style!"

Kiernan grabbed the lightning-fused fist, let the lightning's pure force enter his body, and he then controlled it perfectly.

The lightning moved through the muscles of his right arm into his shoulder, and from there, into his left shoulder, and into the fist of his left.

"Lightning Rox!"

Kiernan smashed the lightning fist into Zeus' chest and sent him flying.

"Sweeping Catch!"

Kiernan caught the ball from the air, landed back in the field, and then, with gritted teeth, saw over three hundred people rushing at him.

"Come on… COME ON!"

Kiernan braced himself for impact, hid the ball close to his chest, and lowered his stance, preparing for the collision.
