Chapter 473: Chapter 437: Clear Kill
After showing the little girl the message on his phone screen, Wu Li put his phone away and stepped forward.
The skinny little girl subconsciously grabbed the hem of Wu Li’s trousers. Wu Li smiled at her, patted her head, and gently freed his pants from her grip.
The next second, his body shot forward like an arrow from a bow, charging toward a metal railing about ten meters ahead.
After a short running start, Wu Li easily grabbed the top of the railing with both hands and flipped over into the yard.
The little girl behind him was wide-eyed with confusion, unable to understand how Wu Li had vaulted over in an instant.
After landing, he scanned the surroundings, noticing two patrolmen standing under a tree to the left, about ten meters away, smoking cigarettes and cursing under their breath, visibly irritated.
On Christmas night, while others celebrated, these men were stuck on patrol, which was certainly vexing.
Wu Li pulled out his phone and checked it. The intelligence from his contact indicated that Chang Hao was still inside this villa, so there was time for other actions.
He sent a message to the leader in Mengshi, then Wu Li walked toward them openly, making no effort to hide.
Two or three seconds later, the patrollers heard footsteps, turned their heads toward Wu Li, first in astonishment, then quickly reacting by raising their AK47s towards him.
"¥%¥@"
They shouted loudly, their voices drawing the attention of other patrollers nearby, who quickly converged on the scene.
Seeing that Wu Li made no extra movements, merely standing still, the patrollers hesitated to shoot.
A black muscular giant stepped forward, nearly two meters tall, wielding two curved military sabers, reeking of alcohol, seemingly having had quite a few drinks.
"Huh?"
The black giant looked at Wu Li, who seemed petrified, and found the situation absurd. This guy had sneaked in alone, got caught, and then stood motionless — was he a burglar?
That would be incredibly unlucky!
Seven or eight other patrollers gathered around, some laughing and talking, their expressions relaxed.
The black giant shouted at Wu Li a few times, got no response, and excitedly walked toward him, signaling the others to hold back.
He was quite drunk and in high spirits.
Hearing this, the others made an "oh" sound, their interest piqued, some even started clapping, eagerly anticipating the live chopping spectacle about to unfold.
The black giant’s two curved military sabers, over forty centimeters long, smeared with dark red blood stains, were clearly not just for show.
As the black giant approached Wu Li, Wu Li finally moved, turned his head, and murmured, "Is everyone here yet?"
"Forget it, no time to wait..."
"What did you say?"
The black giant couldn’t understand Wu Li’s Chinese, but he saw no trace of fear in Wu Li’s eyes; his years of living on the knife’s edge instinctively filled him with unease.
Wu Li stepped toward him.
"Fuck!"
The black giant cursed and swung his blade.
As the blade surged toward him, Wu Li raised his hand.
The surrounding patrollers, who were just there to watch the show, saw a blur as if witnessing a magic trick, and suddenly, the black giant’s blade was in Wu Li’s hand.
Then followed a rapid sequence of puffs —
In an instant, the sound that erupted was not of metal clashing but of a blade slicing through flesh, cutting through bone, spattering blood.
In that moment, Wu Li delivered over a dozen strikes, the cuts stretching from the black giant’s head downward, crisscrossing, the wounds running deep, over ten centimeters. Two deep gashes across his face nearly split his skull open, then extending down to his neck, shoulders, arms, chest, abdomen...
Within barely over two seconds, the black giant’s hands fell to the ground, his right hand severed into three pieces, his belly slit open like a burst soccer ball, blood and organs spilling down.
Just like that, he was dismantled.
As the corpse shockingly fell to the ground, the group was still in shock, some had already begun to raise their guns, shouting out.
Wu Li held a military saber with one hand, looking beyond the iron railing as if he were watching something.
The night wind blew, deepening the chill of winter.
...
The little girl stood under the tree, hesitating whether to climb back up and see what that strange man was doing inside.
Bang!
At that moment, a gunshot rang out, causing the little girl’s body to shake as she anxiously gazed toward the villa ahead.
She was actually very smart. Despite not achieving anything over the past month, she had at least understood that the bad people living in the villa were formidable, not even the worst deeds deterred anyone from confronting them.
"Why did he go in alone? Everyone in there has guns," the little girl thought.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Gunshots followed one after another, the intense gunfire instantly making the villa lively.
Screams of pain and shouts of terror overlapped, the liveliness rivaling that of a party she had witnessed previously, though this time the atmosphere was completely opposite, with some voices seemingly filled with immense fear.
"What is he doing inside?"
"Are the bad people shooting at him?"
"What did he mean by a Christmas gift?"
Countless questions arose in the little girl’s mind. For some reason, despite only having brief interactions, she genuinely worried about Wu Li’s safety, not wanting anything bad to happen to him.
Perhaps because during that last moment, the way he touched her head, the softness in his eyes reminded her of her own mother...
The little girl could no longer hold back and decided to climb the tree again.
Agile and skilled, she quickly climbed up and moved to the very branch she had chosen earlier, tightly holding onto it as she looked toward the villa ahead.
The next second, her eyes widened...
In the villa, a figure moved with astounding speed, dodging and weaving, suddenly closing in on someone shooting from behind a tree.
Then a flash of the knife followed by a burst of blood.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
The next second, the tree was bombarded by bullets, turning into flying wood chips, but the figure was no longer there.
More people continuously rushed out from the villa, all armed and yelling something.
One, two, three...
The little girl instinctively counted the people rushing out of the villa, surpassing ten in the blink of an eye.
"What should we do, he’s all alone..."
However, what happened next made her feel as though she was watching a movie, a movie played just for her.
The gunfire never ceased for a second, and neither did the figure. Sometimes, from the angle atop the tree, she couldn’t see where he was, but the ongoing gunfire indicated the fight was still on, and he hadn’t fallen.
At one moment, the villa quietened down, with the figure alone walking toward the lower floors of the villa.
Before entering, he turned around as if he knew someone was watching.
"Wait here for a moment, uncle has prepared a Christmas gift for you."
His words echoed in her mind, her mouth agape, her body filled with an indescribable emotion...
